Speedy deletion of Julie Mennella[edit]

A tag has been placed on Julie Mennella requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Woland (talk) 21:15, 29 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of "Conflux"[edit]

The deletion of an article you created, Conflux, has been proposed for the following reason:

Might not be notable enough, as it's only an expansion pack.

You are welcome to improve the article to meet Wikipedia's quality standards and remove the deletion notice from the article. You may also remove the notice if you disagree with the deletion, though in such cases, further discussion may take place at Articles for deletion, and the article may still be deleted if there is a consensus to do so.

Wikipedia has certain standards for inclusion that all articles must meet. Certain types of article must establish the notability of their subject by asserting its importance or significance. Additionally, since Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, content inappropriate for an encyclopedia, or content that would be more suited to somewhere else (such as a directory or social networking website) is not acceptable. See What Wikipedia is not for the relevant policy. You may wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Hey, I noticed your recent work on Conflux, and I was wondering if you would like to join Wikiproject Magic: The Gathering. This Wikiproject is a place for editors interested in Magic: The Gathering and related articles to gather and collectively discuss ways to improve Magic: The Gathering articles. You can join by adding your name to this list or by adding {{Wikipedia:WikiProject Magic: The Gathering/Userbox}} to your userpage. Even if you decide that you don't want to join the Wikiproject, I hope that you'll continue to edit and improve Magic: The Gathering articles. Cheers, and happy editing! lifebaka (talk - contribs) 14:26, 30 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Einat Haran-Language edits[edit]

Is this article Einat Haran getting any better? Any specific suggestion for "cleaning up"? Thanks for your help. On.Elpeleg (talk) 20:19, 17 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Conflux[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Conflux, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. --Bsnowball (talk) 05:42, 29 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Template:Institute has been nominated for deletion. You are invited to comment on the discussion at the template's entry on the Templates for discussion page. — This, that, and the other (talk) 07:58, 20 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Mark Friedman[edit]

The article Mark Friedman has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

no evidence of notability. Part of a promotion for the institute.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
