Be careful when splitting

I noticed you split off List of association football rivalries into various other articles. This is fine and appreciated, of course, but please make sure you don't orphan references. For example, you in List of association football rivalries and List of association football club rivalries in Asia and Oceania, the reference FIFA Rivalries was orphaned. I've fixed it now but please watch out in the future. Thanks! Elliot321 (talk | contribs) 12:56, 27 January 2021 (UTC)

@Elliot321 apologies and thank you, my mistake! Do you know how to fix the correct level of sectioning on the article without painstakingly doing it manually? Abcmaxx (talk) 13:22, 27 January 2021 (UTC)
Sadly, I do not. Elliot321 (talk | contribs) 13:23, 27 January 2021 (UTC)

@Elliot321 Thank you reviewing the forks! Fyi, I put my rationale in Talk:List of association football rivalries#Split + forking. Abcmaxx (talk) 13:29, 27 January 2021 (UTC)

Yep, sounds good. To be honest, I think it could be split further, with said article eventually being moved to Lists of association football rivalries. Just a thought, not a recommendation one way or the other. Elliot321 (talk | contribs) 13:39, 27 January 2021 (UTC)

A suggestion re. RS/N

I very much agree with you re. Glaukopis not being a reliable source. I also agree with your reasoning overall. But I would strongly suggest you cut your recent comment at RS/N comparing the historians in question to a notorious murderer. That type of comparison, I would argue, does not advance your cause and could be considered a BLP violation. Please feel free to delete this comment. Generalrelative (talk) 01:09, 6 February 2021 (UTC)

@User:Generalrelative point taken, I have reworded my comment as that was not my intention. Abcmaxx (talk) 12:54, 6 February 2021 (UTC)

Notice

The article Beskid Andrychów has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Looking through sources I feel like this team doesn't pass the notability guidelines as they haven't competed in a national cup competition and the sources are notable enough to pass the GNG test.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Deletion discussion about Grunwald Poznań (handball)

Hello, Abcmaxx, and welcome to Wikipedia. I edit here too, under the username Nightenbelle, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Grunwald Poznań (handball), should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Grunwald Poznań (handball).

You might like to note that such discussions usually run for seven days and are not ballot-polls. And, our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Nightenbelle}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!
