2020 Presidential Election[edit]

The source for my edits is Wikipedia. Trump won a higher percentage of the African American vote than Bush did in '04, the highest percentage since 1980 when Reagan won 14 percent. Kerry won the African American vote by 77 points (88-11) while Biden 75 points (87-12) which is the smallest margin for a Democrat since 1980. Your reversion without doing any fact checking was blatant dishonesty. My edit was to make the statistics accurate, which they weren't. Everything I changed was based on data already available on Wikipedia and Edison Research. Do not change revisions without fact-checking first in the future, because that is academic dishonesty. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ionol (talkcontribs) 21:20, 2 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Ionol: Please read WP:Wikipedia is not a reliable source, which explains why you should not cite Wikipedia as a source. Any change you make should be verifiable by a clearly cited source, even if you see think the current edit is incorrect. Since you failed to provide a verifiable source and since your edit relies on original research, reversion was the correct course of action. Anyway, you’re free to be WP:BOLD, please follow the WP:BRD cycle. Ytoyoda (talk) 01:17, 3 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I will admit, I was angry when at first saw my edit was reverted. Other than the statistics provided in the first section which were derived from Wikipedia, I changed a few words to make the language more accurate in accordance with the information I have seen through my research. Since I wasn't adding new information, I didn't see adding new source material as something that was necessary. I also corrected what I thought were two grammar errors so readers would better see the point. But thank you for pointing me to the Wiki pages, they were informative!

June 2021[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Mattythewhite. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Bukayo Saka, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Mattythewhite (talk) 17:25, 4 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I can't tell if you're being serious, but I was partially undoing this unsourced edit that actually removed a source. Ytoyoda (talk) 17:30, 4 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
If you had bothered checking the source that was already there, you'd have seen that my change wasn't unsourced. Mattythewhite (talk) 17:54, 4 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, I just saw "Midfielder" at the top. Still, I'm finding it odd that we're going to persist with describing him as a left midfielder, a position that's all but disappeared from top-level football, instead of updating/correcting it. I didn't know that the Express was a blacklisted source, but there's plenty of sources that show he's most frequently played on the right, and only occasionally as a left-sided attacking player. In the interest of not getting into an edit war, I'll start a discussion at WT:FOOTY. Ytoyoda (talk) 18:18, 4 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
