Disambiguation pages[edit]

Please note that per WP:MOSDAB each entry in a disambiguation page should almost always have just one blue link: choose the page which has the most helpful information for the reader looking for the term in question. I have modified the entries you added for several wrestling throws just now. Thanks. PamD 10:40, 11 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Labyrinth (disambiguation)[edit]

Please note that disambiguation pages like [[:]] are meant to help readers find a specific existing article quickly and easily. For that reason, they have guidelines that are different from articles. From the Wikipedia:Disambiguation dos and don'ts you should:

  • Only list articles that readers might reasonably be looking for
  • Use short sentence fragment descriptions, with no punctuation at the end
  • Use exactly one navigable link ("blue link") in each entry that mentions the title being disambiguated
  • Only add a "red link" if used in existing articles, and include a "blue link" to an appropriate article
  • Do not pipe links (unless style requires it) – keep the full title of the article visible
  • Do not insert external links or references - Wikipedia is not a business directory

Information icon Hello, I'm Wpscatter. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. Recent edit reversion[edit]

In this edit here, I reverted some information that appears to be a violation of our copyright policy.

I provided a brief summary of the problem in the edit summary, which should be visible just below my name. You can also click on the "view history" tab in the article to see the recent history of the article. This should be an edit with my name, and a parenthetical comment explaining why your edit was reverted. If that information is not sufficient to explain the situation, please ask.

I do occasionally make mistakes. We get hundreds of reports of potential copyright violations every week, and sometimes there are false positives, for a variety of reasons. (Perhaps the material was moved from another Wikipedia article, or the material was properly licensed but the license information was not obvious, or the material is in the public domain but I didn't realize it was public domain, and there can be other situations generating a report to our Copy Patrol tool that turn out not to be actual copyright violations.) If you think my edit was mistaken, please politely let me know and I will investigate. S Philbrick(Talk) 14:36, 29 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia and copyright[edit]

Control copyright icon Hello Adrian619Mysterio! Your additions to Professional wrestling holds have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. DanCherek (talk) 04:26, 4 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Action Gamemaster[edit]

Hello, Adrian619Mysterio. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or draft page you started, "Action Gamemaster".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Kick (disambiguation)[edit]

Each entry on a disambiguation page must be discussed in an existing article. I see that there are multiple mentions in references, but not in the body of an article. If you could added it to Trainwreckstv or Stake.com with a reliable source, then it could be added back to Kick (disambiguation). Leschnei (talk) 13:27, 17 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for June 27[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Raven (wrestler), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page MLW. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:00, 27 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Reliable sources[edit]

Check WP:VGRS for reliable sources.

Hey there bro. You have some good edits because they're based on reliable sources (WP:RS) such as Famitsu, and some situational sources such as Nintendo's Space World book though it is a WP:PRIMARY source. And your formatting is very on point, so I'm very very esteemed in the fact that you're using complete wikicode and citation formatting. I'd never heard of 64 Wars, and I hadn't seen that guide book, and I wrote most of the Space World article, so I'm way into that. Thanks. I might get into a Terminator time machine to appear in the middle of Space World naked if I could. I mean if that's the *only* setting it had. Maybe.

But sooooo many of the edits are inadmissible because they're not based on WP:RS and that's mostly because they are user-generated (WP:USERGEN) or fansites. Usergen is almost any wiki, where the public can edit. The bottom line is that an RS is hopefully secondary, and it definitely has professionally or academically credentialed authors with editorial oversight. Then, the worst thing anybody can do is write their own information with no source at all, which is original research (WP:OR) such as this.

Most of the world's information about video games and wrestling is unencyclopedic or straight junk. We can't have just any source. An encyclopedia is *not* for fan stuff. I know this is really hard to learn. Please read all the links I gave, many times, as everyone else must! p.s. Games are not titles. A title is a piece of text, not a game. That's a WP:EUPHEMISM from marketdroids. — Smuckola(talk) 07:17, 3 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Introduction to contentious topics[edit]

You have recently edited a page related to gender-related disputes or controversies or people associated with them, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

  • adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
  • comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
  • follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
  • comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
  • refrain from gaming the system.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template. Note: This notification was triggered due to your recent edits to Sweet Baby Inc.

A tag has been placed on List of Simple series video games requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of Simple series video games. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. ~ A412 talk! 02:17, 12 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

See also[edit]

Hi Adrian619Mysterio! I noticed your addition of a see also section and noted you added one before. I'd say most are valid links, but A see also section should link to existing, related or similar articles. Links to lists of games (like List of PlayStation games (M–Z)#P) or a section listing (like Artdink#Games) offer no actual content. Hope this helps! Information icon Thank you for your contributions. It seems that you have added Creative Commons licensed text to one or more Wikipedia articles, such as Armored Core: Verdict Day. You are welcome to import appropriate Creative Commons licensed content to articles, but in order to meet the Wikipedia guideline on plagiarism, such content must be fully attributed. This requires not only acknowledging the source, but acknowledging that the source is copied. There are several methods to do this described at Wikipedia:Plagiarism#Compatibly licensed sources, including the usage of an attribution template.
