Page Blanking[edit]

On 14-Jan, you blanked Nokia 7710. Blanking pages is generally considered a bad idea. If you believe a page should be deleted, please follow the deletion procedures. For this particular article, I've it to a stub to remove the ad. Thanks! -- JLaTondre

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:WindowsPictureFaxtoolbar.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:WindowsPictureFaxtoolbar.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 03:06, 12 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Plurk[edit]

A tag has been placed on Plurk requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for web content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. triwbe (talk) 07:48, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

More Plurk[edit]

In case it does get deleted before you find refs I made a copy of it in your personal sandbox User:Aeon17x/Sandbox. --triwbe (talk) 08:23, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for that, I was worried it might be gone before I get home. I'm working on the main article now. --Aeon17x (talk) 09:56, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Move?[edit]

Re this. I don't know how those dates got changed, 'cause I was nowhere near it, nor how another post got deleted, 'cause it was there (AFAIK) when I closed the page again. TREKphiler hit me ♠ 14:06, 6 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

From Kallen Kōzuki to Kallen Stadtfeld[edit]

Hello, you've mentioned that you've agreed with the changing the name bit, & in the discussion page you've shown some stuff that they mostly use Stadfeld instead of Kozuki, & it did show that they've mostly use her Britannian name instead of her Japanese name. She has been mostly being called by that in the first season so it would be possible to rename the article --SilentmanX 20:09, 18 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:Safari 3.2.1 on OS X 10.5.png)[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Safari 3.2.1 on OS X 10.5.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:06, 26 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks[edit]

Thanks for the heads up on the RfD. I agree it deserves to be deleted now; I had a decent ref at one point, but now it just looks like a made-up perjorative. Please do note my comment about potential offensiveness, though. That's how we almost lost Depictions of Muhammad. Bullzeye contribs 09:09, 5 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Letter of condolence to Pia Magalona from the Filipino Wikipedia community[edit]

Hi. Considering your level of interest in Francis Magalona, I thought I'd call your attention to Wikipedia_talk:Tambayan_Philippines#Letter_of_condolence_to_Pia_Magalona_from_the_Filipino_Wikipedia_community. Regards. -- Alternativity (talk) 09:41, 9 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Philippine (Three Stars and a Sun Commemorative) Barnstar[edit]

Three Stars and a Sun Commemorative Barnstar
Aeon17x, I award you this Philippine Barnstar commemorating the passing of Francis Magalona. It is given in recognition of your tireless efforts to improve the Francis Magalona article, and protect it from vandalism, honoring the memory of "the man from Manila." --Alternativity (talk) 19:46, 10 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Bless the man if his heart and his land are one...Three stars and a sun! -- Francis Magalona (1964 - 2009)
Whoa, thank you for my first barnstar. I'm more on the maintenance stuff though. But it's still nice to have, I appreciate it. --Aeon17x (talk) 00:13, 11 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

According to Philippine_copyright_law#Government_copyright, "aside from government documents, no work of the Philippine government, as well as the works of government-owned and/or controlled corporations, can be copyrighted (images, documents, and the like)." I have therfore removed the {{db|copyvio}} tag. - CobaltBlueTony™ talk 16:00, 19 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

In reviewing the discussion there, I noted this opinion:

The Wiki group of course has every right to define its own policies on the use of government works in its various projects, so its opinion should be the final say. But for clarity, if the use of such government works in Wikipedia were challenged in Philippine courts, the uploader would win hands down. --Anyo Niminus (talk) 16:13, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

In this case, I would suggest that we locate and submit our question to the appropriate Wikipedia group for an interpretation, instead of rushing an opinion via a speedy template. Do you know of an appropriate group? - CobaltBlueTony™ talk 16:43, 19 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Tubgirl[edit]

I'm readding Tubgirl to Shock site, which you removed because rm tubgirl and reference to rotten.com -- not a reliable source for popular Japanese culture.. It shouldn't be taken as Japanese culture as i'm keeping how it was before 64.218.107.168 (likely vandalic) edition. Although I wouldn't mind removing that phrase after the ref. What I don't think we should do is removing it altogether (in fact, there're some questions on the talk about why is it missing). I hope you find it acceptable. Platonides (talk) 21:37, 27 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The point is, tubgirl is relevant, as a "shock meme". The multiple requests for readding just showed that. There're plenty of references to that tubgirl [1]. The problem may be finding references outside blogs and community site. What exactly do you find needs sourcing? Platonides (talk) 20:56, 28 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation[edit]

Hello, I noticed you've made edits to University of the Philippines (UP) and UP–related articles and thought you might want to support our recent proposal to create the WikiProject University of the Philippines. We've recently revamped the proposal and started a drive to push the approval of this project. We have a lot of articles that may be under this project and we would like assistance and support for its approval. Hope we'll have a very positive response. Go Fighting Maroons!

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Safari 4 on Windows XP.png[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Safari 4 on Windows XP.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 14 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
