Comprocon regarding Robert A Daly

Hi, you deleted a photograph that I had submitted for http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Robert_A._Daly&action=history

He/We own the image (professional promotional shot that was taken by a professional photographer, and his services paid for, where we have full rights to it)

So what's the best way to submit it so it doesn't get deleted again?

Piping

Comment - Browsing categories, I came across the edits made by AMbot, which added the CfD template with an extra pipe. Anyone up to fixing that? I found a couple, but it seems the bot might be broken a bit. Tuvok[^T@lk/_Improve] 05:34, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

A Device

This is an actual award device presently used by the United States Air Force. I fail to see why you deleted it from Wikipedia. I restored it as it was not vandalism, but rather a real redirect from "A" Device which is also a common term used to describe it. -OberRanks (talk) 02:44, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

Regarding Image Deletion

Hi, an image I put was deleted. I was new to wikipedia at that time, and its my fault for not putting up a source. I believe the image is fair use because its an album cover. So how do I put the image up again, I'll make sure to put the source this time. Request from JPKAMIL

Hey, you should not delete people's images.. I uploaded a fair use screen shot of a rendered lipase protein crystal from solved coordinates. It had been on the lipase page- which I mostly composed- for 2 years or longer. There was no complaint against it and the coordinates for the protein structure are available in a PUBLIC DATABASE. Do not treat such as copyrighted or pirated. I think your actions were 1) draconian 2) bureaucratic and 3) simply rude and detrimental to the educational content of the page. Please contact uploaders via email before exercising your ruthless executive fiat against educational content.

Greetings. There has been an ongoing debate over on the Disney page (posted on the Hollywood Studios talk page) as to one person's sudden desire to change the category of "Orlando Attractions" to "Greater Orlando Attractions". I see that you were involved in April 2007 in a category name change yourself, and I was wondering if we needed to reopen that can of worms? John Dobson (astronomer) image deletion

Dear After Midnight,

I am a past president of the Sidewalk Astronomers and close friend of John Dobson. On Nov. 26, 2007 I asked a friend to place a terrific photo I took of John lecturing with his famous "S" equation on the blackboard.

It was "speedily" deleted I assume because there was no copyright?

Can you please help me put that back up there? The photo is mine and is freely available for all to use. Mr. Dobson is quite old and ill now and would love to have that particular photo up there when the media goes looking for his image.

Lingo

Recently I saw you have once edited something in the Lingo (US game show) page, so you might know the answer to the following problem:

The article does not define whether conjugations of verbs are legal. Since I am from the Netherlands and as such not able to watch US Lingo, I don't know myself whether those are legal or not. In the Dutch version, verb conjugations may be contestant guesses, but they are never correct answers. Hi, my userpage has been subject to 16 instances of vandalism. Could you please protect it from edits other than me or something? Please don't ban Cool piplup2 for vandalizing since he is just fooling around. The only thing I am concerned about is that it took me a long time to revert those changes when I could be editing articles. Thanks!

Pixar template has returned

Hi. You processed the Wikipedia:Templates_for_deletion/Log/2007_June_8#Template:Pixar_films Template:Pixar films deletion a year ago. It has been recreated this week by User:03md (contribs), and it was done as a redir to Template:Pixar templates. The original reasoning still stands that it's a duplicate of the information in Template:Pixar Animation Studios‎ and is not needed. Before I request you undo one of your actions, I'd like to try to come to avoid any misunderstandings or confusions. So, if I may ask a few questions: What reasons do you have for believing that Jèrriais is a dialect of French? What do you believe is necessary for a language to be considered real or valid (or distinct, if it matters)?
