Fox Business Morning[edit]

Question: First, nice quote. Second, with Fox Business morning, it is a very small show which attracts little media attention. It is truly off the air (as it was this morning) and their is only the blog quote for now. More sources will pick it up today (maybe), but people tuning into the show should know where it went. The NY Times or Post isnt going to do a 5 part series on its demise, trust me. I should be able to find new sources by tonight (eastern). Lets give it 12 hours in case people actually try to find out what happened (not likely they would, thus the cancel). Thanks, EyeCantSpel

No problem. I was checking for sources myself and thought it would be best to leave the page until a reliable source was found. From what I found, the show wasn't canceled, rather reduced by half hour. The show originally aired 5:00-7:00, then 5:00-6:30, and starting today (May 10) the show is now 5:00 to 6:00. The lost half hour going to Imus, who now airs 6:00 to 9:20. (Monday's Schedule) (that link will probably only work today, it seems to be Java based and will change). Editing Peter Godwin's Page -- Peter Godwin (Singer) with the correct information[edit]

Hi!

Thank you for visiting our wikipedia page. There are only two of us that are allowed to edit that, one would be Peter Godwin himself, who has left a "WITHOUT PREJUDICE" disclaimer and contact. Please understand that over the years, there are certain characters who have been maliciously playing with the page with unfounded and inaccurate information starting with that allmusicguide biography wherein almost all of the information is an absolute falsity from a writer who never did research on Mr. Godwin nor his contributions in music. This would start from his place of origin which is London and not Germany. Betacommand, a while ago tried to edit this information with this particular information for startes and again, this goes back to that particular writer from allmusicguide.com In this light, there are other people to consider in Mr. Godwin's manager and we do not appreciate that this site be a testing ground for someone else's wiki sandbox let alone, spread a very disparaging and derogative remarks/uncorroborated information over Mr. Godwin personally and his contribution to the music scene. Henceforth, that is why we are providing you accurate links which Mr. Godwin himself approved in order to once and for all end any and all speculations. Having said this, all we are asking for are two things: 1. To freely write the factual events and information on his site. 2. How to go about the "Reference List" moving towards the Citations page wherein we would be deleting that allmusicguide biography and adding our own references. That is all that we ask. I do hope you could help us out on this. You could email me as well as my I've set my preferences to go to my private email.

Thank you for the courtesy re: Peter Godwin (Singer) page[edit]

Hello Joshua,

Thank you for the courtesy on bringing the matter up to the board despite the fact that as per your last email, you were teaching me the guidelines as to how we could properly get our correct citations as I was completely explicit on not using allmusicguide as a reference.

I understand that you are just doing your job but please understand that since you discuss about libel in your last email, Mr. Godwin and the people around him also should be respected when it comes to giving out the factual information about himself.

Is this not what wiki is for? To update on the facts? It is true that the burden of proof rests on the person updating but this is Mr. Godwin that is updating the facts and the truth on his wiki page.

Once more, thank you for the opportunity.

Help on one subject please re: Peter Godwin (singer)[edit]

Hello,

Please help me then on one subject and one subject alone please. As I have said earlier, we do not want to use allmusicguide.com as our citation but instead, we want to use http://popshifter.com/?s=Peter+Godwin.

This is where all the facts are located since this serves as his semi-autobiographical memoirs and these are all corroborated.

Also, a little help, about the facebook link, should we use bitly or do you suggest another thing?

What can we both do to save this page. I'm sorry but we cannot really use allmusicguide since we have a dispute with their facts as well.

Is censorship the only reasoning you have, tovarish Goebbels? Do you (Zionists at CME) believe, that you can be escaping the justice forever? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Peter Pilz (talkcontribs) 16:48, 27 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This has nothing to do with censorship. Personally, I'm in favor of the material being added to the pagers. However, I would like to seem them added responsibly. That is to say, they should adhere to WP:NPOV and WP:RS. Akerans (talk) 16:55, 27 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

As a typical jewish businessman you do not respond questions, here on justice and law - as evading the issue is one of the base pillars of zionist policy. query[edit]

Hi. Perhaps I'm missing something. I didn't put in the info, but I didn't gather why you deleted the ref here saying it was an ad. It seemed normal to me. Tx.--Epeefleche (talk) 02:42, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Removed the link for a few reasons. One, I don't understand why people reference their reference material. Two, having the reference after the reference section creates a cite error. Three, the reason I listed and most important, having a link to amazon is free promotion for amazon, or for whoever happens to be selling a copy of their book on amazon. I think using Wikipedia as a means for free advertising in such a manner is wrong. WP:ELNO #5, in other words. Akerans (talk) 03:01, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It strikes me (though I haven't checked) that there might be a google books url, and that if one url were to be deleted it might be more helpful to sub another one. I would also guess that it is more likely that someone used the url at hand, rather than it was the author advertising his book. Though of course I could be wrong.--Epeefleche (talk) 03:04, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
What about substituting the ISBN for the URL? Akerans (talk) 03:07, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Does that work as well? What I like about google books is that some books start out full or partial read, and some that don't start that way move that way in time. (you can respond here ... I will watch this page until our conversation ends. Best.--Epeefleche (talk) 03:33, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, the ISBN template redirects to a "Book sources" page here on Wikipedia that lists several details on the book, including Google Book Links, Amazon.com, as well as other Online Databases. Appears to be a lot more information.Akerans (talk) 04:10, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
But Google books bring you, quite often (and if not now, even more often in the future) to the pages of all or part of the book itself. For me, that one-click access is what I want. The ability to pull the book off the library shelf with one click, so to speak. Not the ability with one click to get to the order page to buy the book, or a page that lists that and other such pages and google books ... requiring me to make yet another click. That would waste my time. And I'm not aware that the books wikiproject has adopted that as a required practice.--Epeefleche (talk) 04:41, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Using the ISBN template or Google Books as a standard practice? I realize you prefer speed over detail, but can add both to the page. Already added the ISBN template, will go ahead and add the Google Book link since I have it here. Akerans (talk) 05:00, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Tx. It looks great. Sorry -- I thought you were saying one over the other. Yes, I tend to use both. I see here the google books gives us the actual book -- great stuff. Tx again.--Epeefleche (talk) 05:06, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Page edits for Pt. Rajeev Janardan[edit]

Hi,

I have made several attempts to make changes to the profile page of Pt. Rajeev Janardan. A Sitar Artist of Indian Classical music. My changes are always reversed by someone. There should be only two people authorised to make changes to this page. 1. Pt. rajeev janardan himself, his coordinates are janardanrajeev@gmail.com or I oh his behalf. His website has been revised and his profile is not accurate. He is not too aware of this technology and has asked me to make changes for him.

Please suggest what I can do. Thanks Shrinka —Preceding unsigned comment added by Shrinka (talkcontribs) 02:27, 15 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If information is incorrect, then remove it and say the information is incorrect or outdated in the edit summary. This will help other editors understand why you made the change, and should reduce the chance of the changes being reversed. Use the talk page if the edit summary doesn't provide enough space for what you're explaining to other editors. If you wish to add something, then keep in mind that information must be attributed to reliable sources (a page should not be based on primary sources alone), must be verifiable, should not contain original research and must be written from a neutral point of view.
I reverted your changes because the page was written with those core principles in mind, and your changes were against those core principles. If you wish to help improve the page, please take the time to review those policies. Also, if you're editing on the behalf of Rajeev Janardan you may wish to review conflict of interest, ownership of articles, copyrights, and biographies of living persons.
I know I just gave you a lot of policies to read, but those guidelines should help you understand why other editors are reversing your changes, and help you to improve the page. Akerans (talk) 15:34, 15 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Beck University[edit]

Hey there...sorry if I stepped on your toes. Just to be clear: I'm not a fan/friend of JDiggoryDogg or whatever he calls himself, and think he is, well, a few watts short of a 25 watt bulb, but I can't see how his sophomoric play on Keith Olbermann's name violates BLP. If anything, it exposes JDigg's lack of, um, lotsa lernin'-type stuff. So, again, sorry, if I gave offense.Jimintheatl (talk) 02:45, 22 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for that, but I don't feel you stepped on my toes. Perhaps I'm misunderstanding the BLP policy, but the way I'm reading BLP is "anything you're not aloud to post in main space, you can't post anywhere else either." That is, if he had posted those on Olbermann's page, then I'm fairly certain they would have been removed immediately. Why does the talk page differ? I realize if they were brought up on a talk page for possible changes that would be one thing. But, they weren't brought up for discussion, they were brought up to be derogatory. Akerans (talk) 03:03, 22 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The BLP policy is in place, and worded as such, to stop people from posting "facts" about people. These "facts" can be true or false. As long as they were reported by a secondary source (usually), they are granted inclusion until challenged. Another reason is to keep people from making unfounded statements about the subjects of BLP's. On the actual Olbermann Talk Page, my comments would have been deleted, and rightfully so! But on an unrelated talk page of another article, no one cares. Does that clear that up? (By the way, they were brought up for discussion. My intent was to make it so someone else's opinion of Beck University, or at least, someone without a political axe to grind, i.e., not a bunch of progressives, would be mentioned in the article. Admittedly, I do not like Keith Olbermann, and there was a degree of derogatory intent. I won't pretend otherwise. But the main intent was to get someone else's opinion included in the article. I'm not doubting the information, I'm simply doubting the source. I see you already re-added the information without the source, which was going to be one of two suggestions. The other suggestion, do you have an owners manual for the vehicle? I believe that is an acceptable source, as it would help verify the claim. Akerans (talk) 00:16, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I'm sure a couple years ago those articles didn't have inline references. But, people have started adding them, because it's easier to identify what reference is supporting whatever statement in the article. Also, you can use website references. For example, the Topps Battletech website has been used in the Geography of the BattleTech universe article. Look at the source code for that article to see how the <ref> tags are used, and it should give you an idea how to use the tags. If you need a hand inserting references, let me know. Totness Cable landing point[edit]

Hi,

Seems you deleted the data on the Suriname Guyana Cable system landing station in the Totness entry. I don't really see why. A Submarine fiber link is quite a notable thing, certainly in my world. Without it a country is unable to communicate with the internet at any reasonable speed or cost. Furthermore, having been in Suriname, I can assure that towns like Totness don't have much notable going on. That this thing arrives there is the only real claim to fame they have.

Also the magazine reference that you thought was insignificant just happens to be the most important magazine in the submarine business. It may not look much, but it has a devoted readership and it is part of a weird subculture of people who build submarine fiber networks.

So I've reverted the edits

Raindeer (talk) 18:55, 16 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Clingman's Dome[edit]

Thanks for your help repairing my damage. When I discovered that i had deleted most of the article, and attempted to correct, i kept getting "server not responding," and other unhelpful messages. Thot i'd sleep awhile and try again when the net not so crowded. I've got a lot to learn, and can use plenty of assistance, but I would have either re-added the material or reverted my edits as necessary. No vandalism intended, just ineptness. You saved me some steps.

Did you happen to recognize my error? That's not my first accidental deletion. Somehow i'm losing some HTML, or something. I'm attempting to copy passages and edit them elsewhere before replacing the "live" text, to avoid deletions and other damage to the articles. When i substitute my text i sometimes delete the rest of the article.

I'll figure it out, but if you see this and can shed any light, feel free. Ragityman (talk) 06:22, 24 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Server not responding. I get that error, every now and then. Usually, I click the 'try again' button when it appears, or go back a page in my browser history and submit the work again. I know your edits weren't vandalism. To me, you were obviously trying to improve the article, and lost part of it in the process. Your work looked like a cut/paste/move error (I make plenty of those).
I'm not sure your exact problem, but I can venture a couple of guesses. When you copy the material to edit outside, are you possibly copy and cutting at the same time? That is, if you're using the CTRL+C to copy, then you might be accidentally hitting CTRL+X in the process. CTRL+X deletes material. Since the keys are right next to each other, that would be a fairly easy mistake to make. Or, when you paste material into the article, perhaps you're highlighting more material than you intend to past over?
Hope that has been helpful. Akerans (talk) 15:47, 24 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
'Preciate the fast response. No, i often wish i were using a querty keyboard. I usually edit from my phone, so replacing all of that deleted text was looking like a daunting task. The highlighting error is a possibity, though.
Ragityman (talk) 16:11, 24 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not the most technical person when it comes to phones, but I'm wondering if something is interrupting the transmission or maybe the application you're using isn't sending all the data? Nonetheless, I'll keep an eye on the page in the mean time. If I see you need a hand restoring material, then I'll restore it so you don't have to lose your fixes in the processes. Akerans (talk) 16:35, 24 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I can't ask for more than that.
I don't know if u helped unblock me, or if someone else did that. I'm at the library, now, so i can type a little faster, but i've spent all afternoon trying to get unblocked. I could bring up your talk, but wasn't allowed to post a comment.
Looks like you, Droll and Brian keep pretty close tabs on Clingman's Dome. Are you part of the Tennessee WikiProject? I grew up in that part of the state, so that material is close to my heart.
I think you may be on to something re: signal interference on my phone. I don't usually have any trouble making calls, but i think some of the WP problems may hinge on me being online so long, maybe even battery strength. Whatever, you've been a help. Thanks.
Ragityman (talk) 00:48, 25 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
No, not part of Tennessee WikiProject. Found the page due to the cite error caused by the missing reference section. And, welcome for the help. Akerans (talk) 14:28, 25 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Integrity Management/Thank you[edit]

Thank you so much for reviewing my article. Yes, I would greatly appreciate it if you could publish the entry to the main page. I'm going to send the entry to the companies whose links I have entered as currently working in the field and hope that they will add some information (impartial of course) to increase the depth of the entry. Thanks again. Research10 (talk) 08:10, 24 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I believe you have me confused with someone else. Looks like QwerpQwertus reviewed your article here. I believe that's the link you want. Akerans (talk) 15:50, 24 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for creating the reference page.... I just did not know how to do that....[edit]

Thanks a million.. --Sonisona 02:38, 26 August 2010 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sonisona (talkcontribs)

Thank you for creating a {{Reflist}} section for the entry Bounded variation[edit]

Yes, first of all thank you for doing this: I would have to, but at present I am working on other entries, even if Bounded variation deserves a little make up. However, I have a proposal: instead of splitting the reference section in two parts and placing the {{Reflist}} in the second one, why do not create a "Notes" section and putting it there? It is a widely accepted practice, also found in featured articles, like Georg Cantor. Let me know what do you think: I am going to do so, if there are no serious objections. :D. Best regards, Daniele.tampieri (talk) 18:17, 26 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Feel free, I have no objections. I did that because I've seen it used in featured articles (both methods are fairly common), and because a style didn't appear to have been chosen for that article. But, I respect you're a regular contributor, and I only added it because it was missing. So, again, no objections. Happy editing. Akerans (talk) 18:32, 26 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I modified the entry as stated above: please have a look at it, and again thank you for your help. Best Regards, Daniele.tampieri (talk) 06:50, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Looks good. Akerans (talk) 15:37, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

RfC: Partisan sources[edit]

I have proposed an edit for the mainspace of an important Wikipedia policy, the Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources policy. Essentially, I believe that some sources are so partisan that using them as "reliable sources" invites more problems than they're really worth. You've previously participated in the RfC on this subject, or another related discussion indicating that you are interested in this important policy area. Please indicate here whether you support or oppose the proposed edit. The original discussion is here. Thanks. Phoenix and Winslow (talk) 02:01, 29 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Revert notification[edit]

Hi. Here, I've just reverted a good faith edit you recently made, preferring the characterization used by the cited supporting source over editorial characterization. Wtmitchell (talk) (earlier Boracay Bill) 00:24, 1 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the notification. Akerans (talk) 01:14, 1 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Comment alterations[edit]

These were accidental and I apologize. As for the not reading citations, I stand by my comments as relevant, supported and not personal, but the 4th example makes no sense, since it's an edit of my comment. Linkspam[edit]

Re (diff | hist) . . Naturism‎; 23:59 . . (-189) . . Akerans (talk | contribs) (→Further reading: Removed linkspam; none of these links offered previews of the books.)

Is it policy that links are removed unless there is a preview? Or still merely a wish? Can you give me the policy link- then I will happily go back through my watchlist and do a major cull. Culloden will seem like a picnic. I have been leaving them if there was any valid information such as a review. Please respond here. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ClemRutter (talkcontribs)

I removed them per linkspam, which says external links to an article for the purpose of promoting a website or product is not allowed. However, I'm not a strict follower of that. If the link provides a preview, and by preview I mean that the material is readable online, then that is of far greater value and I will not remove the link. If there is no preview, then I will try and find one through google books. Here's the google book links for the six links I removed. Baxandall, Boyd, Basford, North American Guide, Charles, Egger. Unfortunately, none of them offered previews. So, I didn't see any value in replacing the links, and removed them. I understand the point of further reading is to offer suggested reading material, but it should not be used as a means to sell the material. Akerans (talk) 17:24, 8 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks: That statement alone should be made policy!--ClemRutter (talk) 09:05, 9 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Chemical Warfare[edit]

Thx for correcting my erroneous revert of vandalism; somehow I undid one edit less than I should have, I guess. Greetings, Lost Boy (talk) 04:36, 9 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Juvenia[edit]

You removed the notable owners part. Wouldn't it be better to include it in the text somehow instead of just deleting everything? Just a thought, thanks. Ponkatron (talk) 10:49, 10 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't think a list of customers, or customer in this case, would ever be complete. So, I didn't see the need to relocate it. Also, I don't think a list of customers is due space, or significant enough to worth mentioning. If you think it's worth mentioning, then feel free to reinsert the information. Please consider removing the {{trivia}} tag, however, as the information probably best serves the article in its own section. Cheers. Akerans (talk) 17:20, 10 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Stumbling upon[edit]

In regards to this edit, how did you happen to stumble across the page I was making? Thanks for the input on it, by the way. Useight (talk) 21:21, 13 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The lack of {{Reflist}} or <references/>, when using <ref> tags, at the end of the article generates a cite error. I usually find pages that way through WP:NOREFLIST. Akerans (talk) 21:25, 13 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, I see. I was not aware of that page. Useight (talk) 21:28, 13 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Want to remove a link on NSEP's page[edit]

I am the Communications Strategist for NSEP and while I'm a good writer, I really don't know how to code. I want to remove a random link that apparently someone placed on NSEP's page a long time ago but is no longer valid. The link I'd like to remove is http://www.unl.edu/fellowships/fellowships.shtml.

When I click the edit button, I don't even see this link and therefore, don't know how to remove it. When I delete

the link goes away but I then receive the error message that the links are invalid.

Can you let me know how to make this edit?

Thanks much for your help and for cleaning up the bulleted list.

Laura Porter Lporter6 (talk) 16:17, 14 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The link is in the body of the article, and is being generated automatically by the {{Reflist}}. If the link is no longer valid, then you can remove the link from the body by deleting <ref>http://www.unl.edu/fellowships/fellowships.shtml</ref>. Alternatively, you can update the link by replacing it with a valid link. This helps readers verify information in the article. Cheers. Akerans (talk) 16:54, 14 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello[edit]

Hello Akerans, first thanks for your attempt to help me with the article. Since i'm very new in Wikipedia world as a creator, so it feels very hard for me to create a decent article about this musician. I have all the links and I can write a good article but it's hard for me to place in the wikipedia because I don't know how to arrange it in a good shape, so I can send you everything and you place it please because you know better than me. waiting for your answer and thanks again. and if you have anytime please teach my the first things to place any article later. thanks :)

If you have stuff to add, then be bold and add material to the article. Don't worry if the material is in the wrong place, other editors we help fix the article. I'm keeping an eye on the article right now, so I'll help fix anything that needs fixing. I see someone has nominated the article for deletion. The subject doesn't appear to meet notability standards. If you have information on studio recordings, tours, additional media coverage, then go ahead and add that stuff. That material will help satisfy the notability guideline. Again, don't worry how it looks. Others will help. Happy editing. Akerans (talk) 01:10, 15 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Restoring Honor[edit]

Thanks for the barnstar and thanks in general for your work on the article. Usually I'm on the losing side on political article disputes so it's nice to be working good editors with solid arguments for once! BS24 (talk) 23:58, 14 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You're welcome. I'm sure you meant the estimate to be sarcastic, but I thought it was in good humor. It gave me a laugh. As far as the debate goes, there's still the request for comment. I'm hoping that will bring in fresh eyes and new arguments. Perhaps someone will say something, that hasn't been said already, that better explains the weight issues. Akerans (talk) 01:18, 15 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

ok[edit]

why you revert my edit to Michelle Phan? It is very constructive in understanding how her fans perceive her, and is very relevant to the article. WIKIPEDIA:NPOV —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.193.6.72 (talk) 03:06, 15 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Akerans[edit]

Hello Akerans, I have done with the article and links. Everything's going fine but I don't know how to remove the deletion nomination above in the page ? what should I do ? I guess the article is very useful now and I brought links and sources. Tell me what I can do ? and how I can upload photos of this artist playing live ? Thanks :) (Frankenstien13 (talk) 14:24, 17 September 2010 (UTC))[reply]

The deletion nomination remains there for seven days, to give editors a chance to discuss and improve the article. You can read more about the process here. You'll have to wait for the process to end before the tag is removed, or the page is deleted. I can see that you've added more material. Unfortunately, I don't think the material is enough to satisfy notability guidelines. A subject has to meet the general notability guidelines to merit its own article, or has to meet specific guidelines. In Ally W. Salem's case, the specific guidelines would be the notability (music) standards. Unfortunately, she doesn't appear to meet those either. If the article does get deleted, she will have to become more notable before recreating the article. As far as images go, I'm not the best person to ask about that. I don't know much about uploading images. I would suggest asking the help desk for help on that. Akerans (talk) 14:44, 17 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

email as reference?[edit]

Thanks for helping with my entries. However you removed those that listed an email as a reference. The email was a public post on a definitive mailing list by the artist. I don't know how much more reliable it could be? I could not find anything in the wikipedia guidelines prohibiting this. Please advice. Thanks again. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tr707 (talkcontribs) 18:26, 20 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, I was just re-examining the e-mail, and it looks like it comes from the artist itself. And, self published sources can be used to make claims about ones self. However, there might be a BLP issue involved. First, it was a private e-mail that was made public. Was it made public by the artist, or someone else? Second, there's an address attached to it. There may be a privacy issue involved. Will contact the BLP noticeboard and see if it's acceptable for use. Akerans (talk) 18:35, 20 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. The email was on a public email list. The website are the public archives for the list. Thanks again. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tr707 (talkcontribs) 18:37, 20 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Eastern National[edit]

Hello,

Please stop removing the revisions I have made to the Eastern National Page on Wikipedia. The version I am posting is officially sanctioned by Eastern National, and I would ask you to cease your edits, since you have no connection to Eastern National, and are posting inaccurate information. Thank you for your cooperation with this matter. —Preceding unsigned comment added by EN470Maryland (talkcontribs) 20:40, 28 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Christy Walsh[edit]

Thanks for the welcome. I have attempted to redirect 'Christy Walsh case' stub to 'Christy Walsh (Case)' page? It did not work and I have no clue how it went wrong? Can you please assist? Thank you. Diplocksystem (talk) 21:23, 29 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It did not work because your redirect was reverted. I can't speak on behalf of those that reverted the redirect, you will need to contact those editors for the reason why. However, from my perspective, 'Christy Walsh case' does appear to be a better way to identify the subject than 'Christy Walsh (Case)'. I would suggest working on the Christy Walsh case page, rather than creating a new article and redirecting to the new article. Akerans (talk) 01:16, 30 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Followed your advice, and perhaps my error in starting a page with similar name. Many thanks. Diplocksystem (talk) 08:25, 30 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
