Welcome[edit]

Hello,

Welcome to wikipedia! In case you were wondering, users do have the ability to move pages, like you accidentally did with Santa Claus. I can see from your edit summaries that it wasn't malacious, so just try to be careful in the future with edits. If you'd like to test things out, please use the Sandbox, which exists specifically for testing. Here are some other pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome! -- St.isaac 21:31, 8 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

PageMove![edit]

"had no idea how to revert it or flag it for someone else to read so I decided to just move it thinking that an editor will notice this completely random and unnecessary move, and hopefully someone else"

What do want people to look at the page for?

I'm confused.

Tip[edit]

  • If you want to see some nonsense undone, I would recommend reading up on Wikipedia:Revert or ask for help at WP:HD or WP:ANI. Making an unneccesary move may make people mistake you for the vandal like it happened now. - Mgm|(talk) 21:29, 8 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Also see Wikipedia:Tutorial. - Mgm|(talk) 21:31, 8 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Unicode is almost never needed. You can find some oddball characters under the edit screen. Just click them and insert. - Mgm|(talk) 09:37, 10 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Your edit to the lead of the article invited a redundancy ("currently serving serving"), so I reverted it. I'm not entirely sure there's a big difference between "now" and "currently", but if you feel the latter is better feel free to replace it. Gzkn 06:58, 7 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Chico Wiki[edit]

Greetings, I thought you might be interested in the Chico Wiki if you hadn't already heard about it. It has grown quite a bit, but we could always use new contributors. Be well, Pontiff Greg Bard (talk) 01:22, 16 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

sleeveless[edit]

Feel free to comment on the caption at Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Michelle Obama/archive1‎.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 01:35, 6 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You can see on my talk page that someone has an issue with the captions. I thought a comment on the FAC talk page might be useful to defend its presence.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 01:55, 6 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
There is also a discussion on Talk:Michelle Obama regarding a template that needs some opinions.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 04:24, 6 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I don't understand what is wrong with the picture and even though Ohnoitsjamie is an admin it doesn't entitle her or him as an omnipotent editor Wikipedia:What adminship is not

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Check history when RVV'ing[edit]

I noticed your recent reversion of what, WP:FAITH notwithstanding, I think we can safely call vandalism to Roy Moore. Good move! However, it would've been a good idea to look at the page history, since the IP editor actually did two edits in a row to the article, both of them highly non-constructive. You caught the second of these, but not the first. I've reverted the first problem edit; but I just wanted to let you know that bad edits can come in strings, and it's a good idea to check for that rather than just reverting the most recent one.
