Redirect of Slide, Inc.[edit]

I have redirected this article to the existing article Slide.com. There is no need for two articles on the same subject and Slide.com has been around for longer.  – ukexpat (talk) 21:42, 27 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of "SuperPoke!"[edit]

A page you created, SuperPoke!, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is obvious advertising or promotional material.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Thank you. Josh3580talk/hist 21:52, 27 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. RJaguar3 | u | t 21:54, 27 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of SuperPoke![edit]

A tag has been placed on SuperPoke! requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. --Alinnisawest(talk) 01:45, 28 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not recreate deleted material, as you did with SuperPoke! Thanks! --Alinnisawest(talk) 01:51, 28 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest[edit]

At this point it's obvious you're creating articles to promote the products of Slide, so you get this official notice.

If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors;
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam); and,
  4. avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for businesses. For more details about what, exactly, constitutes a conflict of interest, please see our conflict of interest guidelines. Thank you. 71.204.176.201 (talk) 01:52, 28 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

SuperPoke! nominated for CSD as G1 (SPAM)[edit]

Please desist from recreating deleted material. This is your last warning - SuperPoke! has once again been nominated for speedy deletion, and if it gets it, and you recreate it again, a report will be submitted to ask for you to be blocked from editing - Please do not ignore this message! - Thor Malmjursson (talk) 01:56, 28 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Slide, Inc.[edit]

Thanks for the message. No, what you should have done was post a message on the Slide.com talk page (here) proposing that that article be moved (Wikispeak for renamed) to Slide, Inc., so that the issue could be discussed and consensus reached. I see no one has formally welcomed you, so I will post a welcome message with a lot of useful links and advice. – ukexpat (talk) 14:13, 28 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
