March 2018[edit]

Hello, I'm Oshwah. I noticed that in this edit to 2023 Rugby World Cup, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 04:36, 23 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for March 25[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of 2018 Super Rugby matches, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Scott Barrett (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:08, 25 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page, consult Wikipedia:Questions, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there.

Again, welcome! The Mighty Glen (talk) 11:38, 3 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Jaguares Super Rugby records[edit]

Hello, I've moved the article you started to Draft:Jaguares Super Rugby records, as it's not yet ready for the main article space. You can take your time on it there to develop it: it needs some context about who the Jaguares are, what Super Rugby is, some context for the records, and references for the records claimed. Thanks, The Mighty Glen (talk) 11:41, 3 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Controversy over Conifa[edit]

Hey mate. I undid your changes to the Conifa page because they misrepresented what Conifa is about. Members do not represent the "states" that they find themselves in for whatever historical reasons; Conifa members represent themselves in their own right. The organization is about giving a platform to ethnic groups, languages, cultural entities and bio-regions that might not otherwise have a chance to promote their culture on the international stage. I hope you are not offended by my changes, but I felt that is was a little disrespectful to the members themselves, some of who may not identify with their "state". Thank you for your time.

MrSean101 (talk) 15:26, 12 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I don't have a promblem with you changing it and by no means was I trying to change these groups into their resective 'states'. However, I was trying to give some geographical context by citing the state in which the football team would either be from, playing in and/or originate. I completely understand where you're coming from and I love the attitude CONIFA is championing. I think it is slightly hard to completely understanding these cultural and ethnically based teams without giving some georgraphical context and maybe that might help people to understand these groups, many of whom fase oppression and persucation in the states in which they reside.

Deletion discussion about Shawn Wasabi[edit]

Hello, Banana Bendr,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Shawn Wasabi should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Shawn Wasabi .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks,

Hello, Banana Bendr. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Jaguares Super Rugby records".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Sam Sailor 13:11, 3 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, List of AFC Asian Cup champions, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Google Code-In 2019 is coming - please mentor some documentation tasks![edit]

Hello,

Google Code-In, Google-organized contest in which the Wikimedia Foundation participates, starts in a few weeks. This contest is about taking high school students into the world of opensource. I'm sending you this message because you recently edited a documentation page at the English Wikipedia.

I would like to ask you to take part in Google Code-In as a mentor. That would mean to prepare at least one task (it can be documentation related, or something else - the other categories are Code, Design, Quality Assurance and Outreach) for the participants, and help the student to complete it. Please sign up at the contest page and send us your Google account address to google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org, so we can invite you in!

From my own experience, Google Code-In can be fun, you can make several new friends, attract new people to your wiki and make them part of your community.

If you have any questions, please let us know at google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org.

Thank you!
