Speedy deletion of Harvey mason, jr.[edit]

A tag has been placed on Harvey mason, jr. requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hi. Please ignore the two warnings above: the editor who left them assumed that your blanking of the page was vandalism, such as we get all too often. I assume you meant the page to be deleted, and I have tagged it accordingly. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 19:03, 25 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop. If you continue to introduce inappropriate pages to Wikipedia, such as Harvey Mason, Jr., you will be blocked from editing. It appears that you recreated this article which was deleted less than an hour ago, complete with the article's original deletion tag. Please avoid doing this in the future, as the article is quite clearly infringing on copyright Mo0[talk] 23:14, 25 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Thanks for your comment, and please understand, I didn't mean to be insulting when I referred you to Wikipedia's stance on auto-biographical articles. I'm glad you mentioned your involvement with The Underdogs because there is already a pretty well-established article on you/the duo under that name. I've taken the liberty of redirecting Harvey Mason, Jr. to the article for The Underdogs. If most of your work to date that can be verified through a third party was done through The Underdogs, then it might make sense to keep the information there for now. If the split was a recent event, then it may take some time for Wikipedia's article(s) to keep up to date, as we rely on verifiable third party sources to stay accurate. To help things get started, do you know of any sources that have covered or made reference to your split? If we establish that you are now a separate entity from The Underdogs, and if you have notable/encyclopaedic aspects on your own, then I think that would be sufficient grounds to start a new article. If such a source does not yet exist, then it might just be a matter of waiting for Wikipedia to catch up with reality. Cheers. --PeruvianLlama(spit) 01:13, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
