An article about the competitor to Ryan Sorenson has now popped up, seemingly as a WP:POINT; as I am currently involved cleaning up after the editor of this article (they are a local editor to me, but they've decided to move onto disrupting local media articles, despite being a competing member of the local media themselves, so I've had to warn them about COI; they also blanked their talk page as response to me saying I would not comment on allegations they made in the RS AfD and I can blank their comments if I'd like), I don't feel I could neutrally PROD or AfD the article, so I'm asking you to have a look at this; I would do the same, myself, but again, feel involved. Thank you. Nate (chatter) 08:20, 6 March 2021 (UTC)

I would like to address her false accusations of me being some short of competitor or having COI. I own no business engaged in covering the news in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. I reside outside of this community. Additionally, she has undone a number of edits I’ve made, seemingly to part take in an edit war. Asher Heimermann (talk)
You know my gender and my name, so please do not misgender me. You were a resident of Sheboygan for many years and have held multiple websites which are publicly known through a simple search which competed against local media, thus putting you in conflict with these organizations. Can you take a look at some sources

Hi Bearcat, I hope all is well. I am reaching out because I know film is an area of expertise for you and I feel as though the sourcing for Leo Lebeau isn't reliable or notability establishing. I thought it was clear and made an analysis at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Leo Lebeau, but after some pushback I was wondering if I could get some feedback on my assessment. DYK?

Hey — did you know, there's a hockey team in Finland called Karhu-Kissat, which translates as 'Bear-Cats' — any relation? :) Cheers, --DoubleGrazing (talk) 08:42, 11 March 2021 (UTC)

Janet Turpin Myers

Hi @Bearcat: I just promoted this out of AFC. I think it is notable, but I didn't see the previous version, which was deleted. What do you think? scope_creepTalk 19:30, 13 March 2021 (UTC)

I'm a bit unsure of it now. scope_creepTalk 14:11, 14 March 2021 (UTC)

Hi, I noticed that the article about Momar Sakanoko that you nominated for deletion in January has popped up again, largely unchanged and full of half-truths and non-truths. Does it qualify for a speedy deletion or should it go through a AfD again? Alvaldi (talk) 09:54, 15 March 2021 (UTC)

Hi there Bearcat. I saw your speedy deletion tag on Mohammed Ibrahim (politician) but the claims in the article are definitely different than for Ibrahim Mahama (politician). How did you determine that they are the same person? Best, Barkeep49 (talk) 01:14, 19 March 2021 (UTC)

Hi Bearcat! Thank you big time for your amazing work. I was wondering if you could add the name of the two directors for the Mad Dog Labine entry (the last film in the list) Cheers! [1] — Preceding unsigned comment added by RenaudRenard (talkcontribs) 22:54, 19 March 2021 (UTC)

You placed Pending Changes protection on the Kuwait article (it appears with no specified expiration date) back on November 19, 2013. It seems that the article has remained under the PC protection since then. Could you please consider unprotecting the page now? Per the WP:PCPP policy, "indefinite PC protection should be used only in cases of severe long-term disruption," and that's not really the case here. Looking at the page's history for February and March, I see several edits that have not been accepted, but only a couple of them were actual vandalism. I don't think the article needs any kind of protection at the moment. Thanks, Nsk92 (talk) 22:34, 20 March 2021 (UTC)

Wright's Town, Lower Canada

Hi Bearcat, I resubmitted the article for Wright's Town (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Wright%27s_Town,_Lower_Canada) as a standalone article for the following reasons: 1. Wright's Town is the 1st permanent settlement of the National Capital Area and Bytown was founded from Wright's Town 2. Although Wright's Town becomes Hull Qc. in 2002, Hull Qc. was amalgamated with four other cities to form the City of Gatineau. So, the City of Hull no longer exists and each of the other 4 cities has its own founding story. 3. Bytown is well-known as the original name of Canada's Capital, Ottawa, whereas, Wright's Town's name is frequently and mistakenly written as Wrightville or Wrightsville. Wrightville was only a sector of the old city of Hull. A standalone page would go a long way to clear that up. 4. Wright's Town has a distinct national historical significance of its own, as it was the birthplace of two industries in Canada: the timber industry (1806) and the cement industry (1830). Both industries ushered in Canada's industrial age.

I believe these show that the case can be more easily made for Wright's Town to have a standalone page than can be made for Bytown.

A tag has been placed on Category:The Nadas albums requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Liz Read! Review new draft

Hi buddy, so recently been working around with Wikipedia to make a page of an Emirati Businessman/Millionaire Saeed Khalifa Mohammed Al Fuqaei. Since I'm pretty new at it still, while still practicing by making changes in places I could, I would require your kind advice and review on how I can improve it as I would be submitting it soon. The draft is at en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Saeed where you recently removed categories that I understood could not be added as it's in the draft. Would highly appreciate your advice and review as it would help me get better at this. Thank you! Faheemfahms (talk) 14:07, 29 March 2021 (UTC)

Nathan Lawr

While pruning redlinks from List of bands from Canada, I came across Nathan Lawr (former article) and Nathan Lawr and the Minotaurs (former redirect), both of which you created (2007 and 2008, respectively). I don't know whether these merit articles, but thought I'd provide a courtesy note to inform you of their deletion, as there doesn't appear to be any notification about the prod or deletion on you talk page. Request Patrice Robitaille at Articles for deletion

Hi Bearcat, yesterday I put the proposed for deletion at the article Patrice Robitaille and 24 hours later it was removed. I never got my rationale rejected because it was already removed. Look at the Patrice Robitaille article it has no citation sources in the article and it fails both WP:CNC and WP:NACTOR. First could you review the article Patrice Robitaille if it doesn't have citation sources in the article, could you request the article Patrice Robitaille at the Articles for deletion to be nominated for deletion, it was already de-prod an it still has no citation sources and it fails both WP:GNG and WP:NACTOR. I hope you will accept my request. Thanks. 2001:569:74D2:A800:6474:18A5:C80:2AD4 (talk) 02:48, 31 March 2021 (UTC)

Two disputed confusion categories at Charles Boyle (horse trainer)

Hi Bearcat, this is an urgent message and it about the two disputed categories at the article titled Charles Boyle (horse trainer), I already put a specific category called Category:Sportspeople from Hamilton, Ontario when Charles Boyle was born in Hamilton, Ontario, and I already put Category:People from Woodstock, Ontario. The creator of the Charles Boyle (horse trainer) is User:Stretchrunner. User:Stretchrunner has revert my edits and its already gone and the categories are reversed. I was emotionally freaked out but another IP editor restores the revert categories and explain it at at edit summary and said "You made a mistake he is born in Hamilton, Ontario and the Sportspeople from Hamilton, Ontario category will fit and do not create a new category for Woodstock go with the one that is already existed." The IP 2601 does not belong to me. My IP edits with my addresses come from 2001:569:74D2 from my home. I never make my good edit reverted resulting a dispute with the two categories reversed. Could you go to the category entitled Category:Sportspeople from Woodstock, Ontario for speedy deletion immediately and for the request could you talk to User:Stretchrunner to never create the Category:Sportspeople from Woodstock, Ontario and Category:Sportspeople from Hamilton, Ontario will be kept. I avoid edit wars completely and it not a battleground on whoever wins the edit. I have already blocked 3 times in the past. In order to solve the resolution with the two disputed categories at the Charles Boyle (horse trainer). Talk to User:Stretchrunner to never revert the edits done an an IP editor and Category:Sportspeople from Hamilton, Ontario but not Category:People from Hamilton, Ontario that would cause confusion of the two categories. Remember talk first and discuss to solve the disputed categories leads up to the confusion. Don't forget to immediately speedy delete Category:Sportspeople from Woodstock, Ontario and Category:People from Woodstock, Ontario to kept the category that is already existed. If User:Stretchrunner refuses to accept the rules there will be editing problems. Remeber talk first and discuss. I hope disputed categories will resolved in a few days time. Remeber it's urgent talk to User:Stretchrunner immediately for a disputed resolution. Thanks. 2001:569:74D2:A800:5D91:B3C1:D9C4:2C19 (talk) 02:38, 1 April 2021 (UTC)

Thanks for the edit!

Hey, Bearcat. Thanks for your recent edit on "Happy Ending" (Schitt's Creek) to the accolades table and for adding a reliable source. Just wanted to give a quick thank you, and a small reminder on fixing reference titles using "curly quotes" per MOS:CQ. Also, I recommend having a simple citation template to copy-and-paste (such as this one: <ref>{{cite web|url=|title=|date=|first=|last=|website=|archive-url=|archive-date=|url-status=live|access-date=}}</ref>) so you don't have to write it manually and to avoid missing small parameters. Once again, thanks for your contribution to the article, just a small reminder. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 22:59, 1 April 2021 (UTC)
