Removal of specific information[edit]

Hi. I was just wondering what you have against the information added to certain pages like List of DuckTales characters and List of Power Rangers Beast Morphers characters that are important to the character's involvement in certain episodes? I just wanted to know. --Rtkat3 (talk) 14:54, 17 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • I do not have a problem with adding information. My concern is that you are adding too much unnecessary information. I understand how important adding information on a character's development is. However, I notice you seem to add overly specific, minor, and trivial facts and word it in such a way that it feels long-winded and unprofessional. Take Beast Morphers for example. We do not need everything that happened to someone in a specific episode, especially if they are a one-off or a minor character. When I add information, I always try my best to condense it to just the important points. I did not think Megan would return, but since she did, I only included the important parts of her character arc from her two episodes (at the time). When I added her section, I left out the minor details like the firewall and her defeating Robo-Blaze's Megazord (which she did not physically take part in by the way) because those are minor details that only interest the people who religiously watch Beast Morphers as opposed to someone who has never seen Power Rangers at all. To use another example, we do not need every single thing from Regina Collins' arc because she is (most likely) a one-off character despite the fact that she was played by a past Power Rangers cast member. She is most likely not going to show up again, and even if she does, "Save Our Shores" is most likely never going to be brought up again because that storyline was filler at best. Most recently, the List of Kamen Rider Zero-One characters page, which I used to frequent, had most of its information removed by a Wikipedia admin because there were too many minor details that only interested the fans of Kamen Rider Zero-One and it was mostly plot summary, which according to the admin, did not belong in a character page. It was not suitable for a general Wikipedia article reader. The admin edited the page in such a way that anyone can read it even if they do not have any prior knowledge of it. Case in point, your additions to Sargon the Sorcerer. Not everyone will care about Sara saying "Beebo is off-limits" because not everyone knows who Beebo is. Only the Legends of Tomorrow and Arrowverse fans know Beebo. I removed your edits from Sargon's page so that a random bystander can read it and understand the gist of Sargon's cameo appearance, especially if they have not seen "Crisis", "Legends", or anything from the Arrowverse. In conclusion, I am not actively against adding important information. I just do not agree with people adding minor or trivial facts that only interest a niche audience as opposed to a general audience. Please, keep information you add down to just the important points, make it as condensed as possible, and word it in such a way that someone who does not know anything about it can understand it just as well as a super-fan. I apologize if I came off too strong or mean. I am simply ensuring the fat gets cut out so the meat of the information shines through. Blazewing16 (talk) 01:04, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Excessive detail response[edit]

The part of episode 8 of Harley Quinn had Sy Borgman explaining the history of Mirielle to Doctor Psycho which was a good idea to mention at the time. I see what you mean about that. There's a minor character named Lynn who is Anya Corazon's best friend in the original comics and clearly resembles Maria Corazon. I did some digging in certain websites (including pixiv) and apparently Esu being Soreo Hiden is yet to be proven. Anons like this would resort to do this kind of edit more than once. If, let's just say that the same anon try to put up that fake info again for the third time, you can actually send List of Kamen Rider Zero-One characters for protection over how long do you want it. Tinkerer[edit]

Is there anything that can be done on Tinkerer (Marvel Comics) and User:Dibol's insistence that no one ask for a citation for the name of the actress, or not allowing anyone to remove that unsourced information, and edit-warring to keep it that way, and refusing to supply the citation? 2601:243:1C80:6740:59CF:B77D:BCE8:D61D (talk) 14:52, 2 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, User:Dibol insists on removing citation requests for whatever reason since Wikipedia doesn't technically require them. In this case, I will see about moving the references so they aren't backing up the voice actor information since it doesn't cover it. Blazewing16 (talk) 03:06, 3 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think citing the game itself[1] is acceptable, but I'd rather leave it like that than continue to conflict with him. Hooray for edit warriors getting their way. 2601:243:1C80:6740:59CF:B77D:BCE8:D61D (talk) 05:19, 3 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
2601:243:1C80:6740:59CF:B77D:BCE8:D61D, at this point, it's better than nothing and should hopefully suffice until someone finds a better source to replace it. Blazewing16 (talk) 06:44, 3 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Kamen Rider Zero-One and YouTube[edit]

  • Yes I understand YouTube is not a reliable source & I wouldn't have used it if it weren't for the source I gave to reference the change being from Toei's English language YouTube channel & the how the video had it's subtitles. • Even so, it just won't work unless you use something more official and reliable, like TV Asahi's pages on Zero-One or an official Toei announcement that isn't on YouTube. Plus, you have to provide a reference by the information you changed. You can't just provide it in the edit summary. You have to use it in the Wikipedia page itself. Zenkaiger and different Sentai universe.[edit]

Sorry for the wait, here's the translation: The world where Goranger fights, the world where Zyuranger fights and the world where Kiramager fights... every one of these worlds were disappeared and trapped into a small gear by the Evil Dynasty Tojitend, from the world of Mechanical Life Form Kikanoid's Kikaitopia. Their final target is this world, which is a parallel world. Its been a month since it was combined with the Kikaitopia. Humans and Kikanoids gradually integrating with each others. When the Tojitend attacks, the Kikanoids start to grow violent. The rest is as you know, the Zenkaigers are formed. Battleworld response[edit]

None of the other locations on the planet that Beyonder dubbed Battleworld were named in Spider-Man as the planet didn't know any evil until Beyonder placed Doctor Octopus, Doctor Doom, Red Skull, Alistair Smythe, and Lizard there. Doctor Octopus ruled the area he established as Octavia until he was overthrown by Doctor Doom who renamed it New Latveria which Doctor Octopus mentioned to Red Skull. Not all the locations of the Battleworld in Avengers Assemble have been visited by the Avengers and those that were transported there. As for the Battleworld in Marvel Contest of Champions and it's follow-up Marvel Realm of Champions (which doesn't have a page on here yet), it does have it's own locations which can only be structured in the "in other media" section like they did with how the editors here have described the layouts of the Crime Syndicate of America from Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths. Right? --Rtkat3 (talk) 15:57, 14 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

User:Rtkat3: Right now, I'm uncertain. For now, let's just continue listing the Battleworld realms in sentence form because I feel like list form makes the page unnecessarily long. Blazewing16 (talk) 02:13, 15 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Heroes Reborn (2021)[edit]

Hi. As you have become interested in improving the article for the 2021 "Heroes Reborn" comics and their tie-ins, I was wondering what you think about it so far? --Rtkat3 (talk) 03:50, 10 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Re: User: Rtkat3, I think it's interesting to say the least. Yes, we've gotten lots of alternate universe stories where the Avengers never came to be for one reason or another, but I find "Heroes Reborn" 2021 to be a unique take on it since the Squadron Supreme are the main characters. Plus, I like the references to DC Comics, like the ones in issue #5, and the ways the Avengers and their related characters' lives changed because the Avengers never existed. How about you? What are your thoughts on it so far? Blazewing16 (talk) 04:18, 10 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
They did use the Negative Zone as a place of imprisonment for Doctor Juggernaut, General Annihilus, Hulk, Mister Beyonder, Namor, and Ultron/Hank Pym as if it was being treated as the Phantom Zone. One subplot issue made use of the Squadron Supreme members that did not have any simulacrum counterparts. As for the latest issue, I had no idea that Power Princess made use of the Statue of Liberty and had petrified her opponents like Giantess, Hela, Hercules, Knull, Tigra, and Ulik as well as the hunting trophies of Monstrom, the Mentelleronites, and the Fire Demons. There should be a mentioning on it's page somewhere about the DC comparisons seen in this miniseries even if a character section has to be established. Right? --Rtkat3 (talk) 14:46, 10 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I agree that there should be a section regarding the DC Comics comparisons, but it has to be done in such a way that it won't come off like a fan did it. No offense, but we can't just list them all like you did just now, listing all of Power Princess' petrified enemies. Only the most important ones should go in, like how the Squadron Supreme is a Justice League pastiche. Plus, we need proper sourcing to back it all up. Those refs in the plot section aren't gonna cut it, I don't think. Blazewing16 (talk) 23:58, 10 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hopefully, there can be an official souce found somewhere on the Internet to help in developing the section in question. --Rtkat3 (talk) 14:56, 11 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed. Blazewing16 (talk) 00:21, 12 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
When it came to the last issue, Thunderbolt Ross was depicted as the Vice President of the United States and J. Jonah Jameson was depicted as the White House Press Secretary before President Phil Coulson shot them. The finale titlted Heroes Return is next. --Rtkat3 (talk) 15:28, 17 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Minor edits[edit]

Information icon Hi Blazewing16! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Glorious Purpose that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia – it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. IronManCap (talk) 21:04, 12 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

My apologies. I will be more careful of how I use "Minor edits" in the future. It was not my intention to use it incorrectly. Blazewing16 (talk) 07:52, 13 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

DF Episode 12[edit]

It's on YouTube or twitter for the source for episode 12. PRFAN13 (talk) 02:08, 22 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

-------------

Hello Blazewing16,

I will also confirm that PRFAN13 is telling the truth, Power Rangers 12th episode title and description was revealed by the official "Power Rangers Kids" YT channel yesterday when they uploaded the preview clip for the 12th episode from PMC Online.

Hope you see this soon, Theagames10 (talk) 19:30, 22 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Beast Morphers Episodes[edit]

Hello, I have a question. Why did you revert my edits for Beast Morphers Season 1 and 2? Each season has 22 episodes, simple as that.

AlexanderEssienArthur (talk) 00:20, 28 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The way you worded it was super unprofessional. 20 episodes + 1 special? Just say 22 episodes and that's it. Blazewing16 (talk) 02:24, 28 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Stacey's robot[edit]

Hello sir, I watched the Zenkaiger episode 23 and saw that Stacey's robot had a sword finisher. I'm scared of adding that info in because it might be false. Hope you don't mind. THonk36 (talk) 08:48, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Nick Fury[edit]

Is this accurate? 8.37.179.254 (talk) 20:36, 2 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

talk, thank you for bringing this to my attention. I'm not too sure that I'm in the right, but I'm sure we'll see in the coming days. If anything, I can always ask for help from others more knowledgeable than me in this subject and they can help out too. Blazewing16 (talk) 22:15, 2 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, but they simply reverted. If you're not sure, there might need to be a discussion to prevent further edit-warring. 8.37.179.254 (talk) 21:10, 3 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Honestly, I'm not going to get too involved in that for the foreseeable future. I don't know enough about that situation to do anything else, and I definitely want to avoid edit wars. Blazewing16 (talk) 22:06, 3 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I have added Dino Fury Episodes[edit]

Hello!

I have added episodes to Dino Fury's episodes page that include titles from official German TV sites (Both German and official English titles are found) and descriptions from POP UK's schedule page! (When you go to the page, you can click the calendar icon and go through the full month of September and find that Dino Fury is airing the full 1st season with new episodes every weekday and episode reruns on the weekends)

Hope you read this soon!

Charles McNider response[edit]

I was not committing misogyny. I was just stating that Charles McNider was confirmed to be alive in the recent episode of Stargirl and not offending the fact that Beth Chapel succeeded him. Did I leave anything out? --Rtkat3 (talk) 20:14, 4 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

User:Rtkat3, no you did not leave anything out. It's just that you misworded how McNider is alive. If you had called McNider the first Mid-Nite, which he is, then I wouldn't have said anything. Even then, I feel like it might not be the real McNider as opposed to Eclipso manipulating Chapel via McNider's image and/or memory. At this point in time however, it appears as if McNider is alive and we should risk assuming that this is the case until we're shown otherwise. I apologize for any unintended hostility. I should've been calmer in my message. Blazewing16 (talk) 20:20, 4 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Dino Fury Episode Summarries[edit]

Dude, I just added the Dino Fury summaries to the Dino Fury episode page but you somehow reverted my edit again. If so, correct me if I'm wrong. And you were right about the source is not reliable.

AlexanderEssienArthur (talk) 22:20, 4 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

AlexanderEssienArthur, the site you used is not a reliable source. Maybe for a fan wiki, but not Wikipedia. I'm not an expert, but an argument can be made that it looks like a fan-fueled chat room where anyone can make up something and pass it off as true. Please see WP:RS and WP:CITE for more information. Blazewing16 (talk) 22:44, 4 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know what happened while I was away from the Dino Fury episode page, but it seems something caused only authorized folks to edit it. I found plot summaries elsewhere but I shall not compress and summarize them until April next year. I'm sorry for this considerable setback for Dino fury. --THonk36 (talk) 01:32, 5 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It's okay THonk36. It's not your fault. The protection templates are up because one too many anon IP addresses (aka fanpeople who can't wait to add every single little thing regardless of Wikipedia's rules) and a particularly nasty vandal called PRFAN13 (who you should avoid at all costs) kept ruining the page, leading to Wikipedia admins stepping in and adding said protection templates. The protection template that's up right now is meant to stop editors who don't have a Wikipedia account for 30 straight days and/or haven't made 500 edits. PRFAN13 is currently blocked for the next few days, but since they pass the protection template's rules, they'll be ruining the page again as soon as they're unblocked. But you don't have to worry about them. The admins and experienced editors will take care of them in due time. Just continue what you're doing while I take care of the Dino Fury episodes.

Goseiger page fixing project.[edit]

Dude, I'm currently doing a cleanup page for the List of Tensou Sentai Goseiger characters in my sandbox. Once its done, can you do some cleanup and provide your opinion?

My idea of the cleanup is to merge all of Buredoran sections to Brajira and remove the explanations for the monsters' movie name references. This is also to make way for the mecha section. This one's my first attempt after cleaning up the arsenal section and the movie references].

Zero stylinx (talk) 13:09, 8 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Zero stylinx, oh totally. I'm down. I was actually thinking about cleaning up that page anyway. Once you are ready and I have time, I will jump in and help you out. Also, yes, all of the Buredoran sections definitely need to be merged with Brajira's. Blazewing16 (talk) 04:09, 9 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
P.S., I'm liking what you have in your sandbox already. I'm thinking maybe you should group all of the villain groups under a dedicated "Wicked Souls" section. Blazewing16 (talk) 04:52, 9 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Done. Deadlinks scrubbed and main actors/voice actors linked to existing sources. I still need to put on the citation for the Goseiger mechas, but if you think that this edit is anough, you may copy paste it to the real page. Zero stylinx (talk) 14:55, 9 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
For sure, put in the mecha citations please. Blazewing16 (talk) 01:55, 10 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Alright, magazine source included and now everything's transferred to the main page. Zero stylinx (talk) 05:48, 10 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Awesome! Thank you so much for including me. I will be sure to provide further input and additional help in cleaning up the page this weekend. Blazewing16 (talk) 22:28, 10 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
So what's next on your suggestion? Maybe Gaoranger or Boukenger? I have the magazines from Gaoranger to Kyuranger as citations. Zero stylinx (talk) 09:10, 14 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
You can add the citations for Kyuranger now if you want since I already cleaned up that page a long time ago. After that, perhaps Gaoranger, Boukenger, and a third one of your choice. What are your ideas for those ones since they don't have dedicated character pages? Are you going to treat them like Lupinranger vs. Patranger? Blazewing16 (talk) 23:19, 14 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Odd choice, but ok. Website citations from Toei are enough to cover Kyuranger, but give me a week or more. For Gaoranger and Boukenger, I was planning to give them dedicated character pages. LVSP was unfortunate that they used to have their own character page, but deleted because they don't have enough citations to back it up (believe me, there's tons of it in TV Asahi/Toei's website, but nobody wanted to). Zero stylinx (talk) 05:22, 15 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
OK, gotcha regarding Gaoranger and Boukenger. Good luck with those when you get to them and please take your time with Kyuranger. Speaking of which, I cleaned up that page there were several problems that bothered me and once I started, I felt compelled to finish it. Blazewing16 (talk) 22:40, 15 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
P.S., I completely forgot, but you can also add citations for Kyoryuger whenever you have time because I also cleaned up that page a long time ago. Blazewing16 (talk) 23:49, 16 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You look like you're fixing OOO's page. This link brings to Toei's official online guide to OOO characters and terminologies. If you know how to link them, you can use them as citations. Zero stylinx (talk) 18:07, 20 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much. I don't quite know how to do it myself and the situation with the Revice character page has me unsure of what kind of citations work, but I'm sure I'll find a way to add some kind of citations to the OOO character page some day. Blazewing16 (talk) 22:40, 20 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Kyuranger finished. But all I did was adding more citations. For now, I need a break to prepare for my internship. Zero stylinx (talk) 06:21, 21 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Awesome. Take all the time off you need. Congratulations on your internship. I hope all goes well. Blazewing16 (talk) 22:28, 21 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Just asking; what is it that I need to fix aside from sources in Kyoryuger? From the way I see it, it only needs a few citations on some characters. In your opinion, would you prefer the the Zyudenryu sections the way they are or separating them into separate gattai robo section? Zero stylinx (talk) 13:07, 24 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Just sources. Like I said, I already cleaned up the page a long time ago. As for the gattai robo section, let me experiment with how it would look, and I will get back to you on that. Blazewing16 (talk) 19:02, 24 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
All right, I separated the mecha information off into their own sections, which I honestly should've done when I was cleaning the Kyoryuger page, but it's fine. Anyway, while I was doing that, I noticed that someone else already put in citations for some of the characters, so I'm not entirely sure if you necessarily need to address the page. However, if there are any citations that you feel need to be added, go ahead and do so. Blazewing16 (talk) 20:59, 24 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not actually finished with what I'm doing, but my time is growing short for a make up class in college. I fear that I'll be busy with tomorrow's preparations. Even if I can't finish what I wanted to do, at least I can cover up most of the Kyoryuger sections, but I'll try to provide more edits again if I have another free time to spare. Zero stylinx (talk) 18:24, 4 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
That's all right. Focus on your education first and foremost. Don't feel like you have to prioritize Wikipedia. Put your health, education, and other aspects of your real life ahead of all else. I can protect the pages while you're busy. Blazewing16 (talk) 22:02, 4 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Kyoryuger officially finished for now. I don't know if this works, though you can say that the excessive citations is like a kitchen sink. I have read the Uchusen 174 and I also have names and sources for Black JuraGaon's weapons, but again, I have to hold back as it might be more than enough to Stacey's page. Zero stylinx (talk) 13:55, 9 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Gotcha. Now, I suggest you take it easy. You've got your internship and school to worry about. You're doing a lot of work here on Wikipedia, but please don't neglect your non-Wikipedia life. Blazewing16 (talk) 18:11, 9 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Baron Blitzkrieg response[edit]

For the bullets thing, there was not enough entries for list form as some editors on this website would note. Second of all, I was not being bias about the fact that it took until the following episode for Pat Dugan to confirm to Courtney Whitmore that Baron Blitzkrieg dying during the war to be revealed while still being quiet about what happened to Gentleman Ghost. I was just explaining that he confirmed the fate of the one who killed Red Bee in that episode. Though he did correct her by stating that there is no "Von" in his name which I did not know how to mention in that entry. Did I leave anything out? --Rtkat3 (talk) 14:31, 24 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

No, you did not leave anything out. In fact, the problem is you don't seem to know what to leave out. We don't need every single little factoid about a character. If it has nothing to do with the character, don't put it in. If it plays no significant in the character's personal story, DON'T put it in. Nobody cares about Dugan talking about Gentleman Ghost in Baron Blitzkrieg's page unless they directly interacted with each other, no one cares about that "Von" thing, and in response to an edit you made a long time ago, nobody cares that Isaiah Bradly waters his plants while talking to Sam Wilson. Blazewing16 (talk) 19:05, 24 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I did not say that Baron Blitzkrieg and Gentleman Ghost interacted on the former's page. Courtney just brought them up in the first episode of season two. --Rtkat3 (talk) 14:53, 25 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I meant that bundled refs on some sentences are being placed in the wrong order. ("the Dino Charge Rangers, and the Ninja Steel Rangers.[2][16][4][30]") ("Ankylo Hammer Zord – Amelia's personal Zord with a hammer-mounted tail.[14][8]") ("Stego Spike Zord – Javi's personal Zord with needles on its back.[26][8]") The number order needs correcting. 2A00:23C8:5D00:ED01:CD05:85A2:C710:2D1F (talk) 04:38, 18 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Re ruhsyeteeieie yo ei, I apologize, but I don't think I can edit a page like that. There's a lot of information to sift through and I don't know everything about movie history and all of its related material. I primarily focus on pages and/or material that I actually know. I'm not going to edit a page that I know nothing about because I run the risk of coming off like a vandal. Blazewing16 (talk) 02:27, 1 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

WCA and DtFHS[edit]

Okay, if you don't want that at the top of the page, where would you rather it be? DS (talk) 00:25, 9 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

User:DragonflySixtyseven I put it in the "In other media" section. I am so sorry for not doing so earlier. I didn't realize that you are an admin and I got distracted by other matters. I did not mean to be a jerk about it. I thought that you were a vandal or editor who doesn't understand how Wikipedia works. Once again, I am sorry. I will try to be more careful about what I edit in the future. Blazewing16 (talk) 00:44, 9 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
That's okay. I'm not upset with you, since it's clear you had the best of intentions. However, DtFHS's mixtape only shares a name with the superhero team. It's not entirely a coincidence - he clearly knows about the comic - but there isn't really a connection such that it's worth listing the mixtape under "in other media". I couldn't think of an appropriate hatnote template offhand, so I improvised one in hopes that someone would eventually do something more formalized with the information. Would it upset you if I restored it to a hatnote? DS (talk) 03:05, 9 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Honestly, I'm not entirely sure. Since the mixtapes don't have a Wikipedia page, I don't think a hatnote would work. I only placed the entry in the "In other media" section because I thought it was the best place for it in my opinion. I do think it's worth mentioning, I'm just not entirely sure where else to put it at the moment. Blazewing16 (talk) 05:15, 9 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Zero-One[edit]

I've seen what happened with the Zero-One character page issue, because I had this too back when I was working on a character page until I put in a footnote. I'll get on to it by this Friday or so. Zero stylinx (talk) 02:34, 5 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. Take your time, good luck, and happy new year. Blazewing16 (talk) 03:08, 5 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I think I exaggerated what I just said, sorry. Apparently it took a short work (ugh). Just remember to use what I did the next time someone try to contradict a naming with a *ahem* foreign DVD subs. Zero stylinx (talk) 16:00, 5 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Gotcha. Thank you so much. Blazewing16 (talk) 23:59, 5 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Don't take it personal (and sorry for making it childish), but F@#$ the Western attempts at ruining Japanese shows with inaccurate subtitles. Zero stylinx (talk) 14:35, 7 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Unrelated but just a small heads up, since we're nearing Donbrothers' premier in several weeks. Given that OniSister's motif is Oni itself, I highly doubt her true motif is Onihime (in Japan, it means the highest rank in the chain of command among female Oni, or just a derogatory to Japanese girls who are as brutal/terrifying as Oni). Of course, if that term ever appear in series, I'll just post it here for future references. Zero stylinx (talk) 17:41, 20 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Gotcha. Thank you. Blazewing16 (talk) 00:26, 21 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know where are you from, but please stay safe. That is all. Zero stylinx (talk) 15:29, 24 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Zero stylinx, thank you. To you as well. Blazewing16 (talk) 01:08, 25 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
At this point, I give up with whatever happen to Donbrothers, both the main article and the series itself. The page is currently wrestling to either be created or deleted; each time it returns to draft, the rest of the users outright skip the evaluation process and straight to article creation, exactly the same behavior that gets the Super Hero Taisen 2017 and Kyuranger movie articles to be deleted. Whatever you do, just keep supporting the Toku articles that you find interesting as I continue with my internship. Peace. Zero stylinx (talk) 15:21, 27 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. I will. Best of luck with your internship. Blazewing16 (talk) 20:49, 27 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I have finished my internship, all that's left is to hand in several homeworks. After that, I'm going to add some key information from the Ghost novel that I manage to salvage from pixiv. Zero stylinx (talk) 02:49, 4 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

User:Zero stylinx, congratulations on the internship and thank you for all of your help with trimming down the Kamen Rider pages. While I'm here, I wanted to let you know that I'm not going to be actively following Kamen Rider Geats. Even though I like the concept, I have a bunch of stuff going on in my personal life that require me to focus more on that instead of Wikipedia. I may check in from time to time, but I won't be able to constantly check for and/or undo bad edits like I've done previously with Zero-One onward. Blazewing16 (talk) 04:18, 4 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I have this one suggestion if you like to hear me out. The Parka Ghosts are essentially characters on their own right, other than just, you know, flying hoodies that give forms. So maybe I thought of bringing all of them into a single character section and then leave the Riders with only independent forms. That way, It's also easier to do maintenance on the Riders' character sections.Zero stylinx (talk) 01:03, 8 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
User:Zero stylinx, honestly, that sounds like a great idea. I should've taken that into account, but I wasn't sure whether to put them under recurring or guest. For sure, let's do your idea of making the Hoodie Ghosts a separate character section and go from there. Blazewing16 (talk) 04:17, 8 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Mystical silhouettes[edit]

You removed this line from the Rhino article[2], do you believe it should also be removed from Morlun, Scorpion, Madame Web, Black Cat, Kraven, and Superior Spider-Man? 207.229.139.154 (talk) 03:32, 11 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

207.229.139.154 Yes. I'll get right on that now. If the right people bring them back and provide good reasons for doing so, I won't fight it. I'll only make sure that the wording and material involved meet Wikipedia's standards. At the very least, we don't need every single character who got a silhouette in the film listed with every single character involved.Blazewing16 (talk) 04:45, 11 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
They were added back by User:Advofspec to the same articles, FYI. 207.229.139.154 (talk) 21:41, 20 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Make use with this if you want.[edit]

While I did say that I want nothing to do with Donbrothers, I decided to relay some pieces of info I can share with. Now before you ask why, this is simply me doing out of curiosity (I know that the Donbrothers article is under debate, but I have little faith that Exukvera can succeed.).

  • The reason why Kamen Rider toys sells like hot cakes is because of their Henshin gimmicks. As seen since Gorenger, Sentai up till now has always been a team of different colors and similar body silhouettes. Then Producer Shirakura gets the idea to use the term avatar in gaming. The Donbrothers essentially transform into avatar characters, then taking blockbuster movies like Avatar, Ready Player One and Summer Wars into consideration as well. Again, avatar in gaming are customizable depending the players' choice, so taking this into consideration is how Kiji and Inu Brother have inhuman proportions. [3]
    • Continuing from above: Normally in a Super Sentai trope, five characters gather at the same spot and transforms. But in Donbrothers it's different; they're from different places and transform, eventually reaching the same spot. They only knew each others as suits, but not many knew who the other is outside their masks. This is a reference to our social media nowadays. They turned the pink ranger into male is to counter the stereotypical expectation that pinks are for females only (of course, they even consider KR Decade)
  • Yes, the Avatar Change is based on Gokai Change. [4]

Here's why I have little faith in the series. You see, Ninninger was the year where the Sentai sales dropped at the 7.1 bil yen, which was a huge drop from the last year (ToQger)'s profit in 11 bil yen. Zyuoh and Kyuranger steadily rises the toy sales, but LVSP drops it even further than Ninninger. Here, SFX director Hiroshi Butsuda blamed the Good Cool Kaiser VSX being a full blown CGI mecha as the reason why kids aren't interested with the toy. So in Ryusoulger, they try to make KishiryuOh as a realistic proportion mecha, but even that fails. Then we have Zenkaiger getting back to using a full blown CG mecha again, which is supposedly a hypocrisy of Mr. Butsuda's statement. Ironically Zenkaiger's sales profit ties with Timeranger as the lowest (2.4 bil yen) in Sentai history. According to some cast interview in Donbrothers, they were told that they need to give their fullest in acting for the series, or else they're going to be the last Sentai season. Now I don't usually take in rumors, but if this is really happening, I can clearly see Sentai becoming a sinking ship of a franchise (don't get me wrong however, there are some past seasons that I liked). That's all from me and sorry for bugging you. Zero stylinx (talk) 16:00, 21 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

That's all right. You did not bug me. I honestly have similar feelings as you in regards to how Sentai has been doing these past few years. I've always heard rumors that a certain season would be the last one, and generally, I don't let those kind of things get to me because I'd rather wait until something more official has come up. On a different note, I do like some aspects of Donbrothers, such as the whole avatar thing you brought up, the digital theme, and the monsters of the week being based on past sentai mecha and/or seasons (even though Boukenger already did that, but Donbrothers could simply do the ones that came after Boukenger, but I digress). Overall though, I don't have super high hopes, even though I've made the choice to not actively follow it like I have the past Sentai seasons. The fact that Toei is still doing gold/silver/both for the Sixth Ranger (and/or the closet analogue like Lupin/Patren X) continues to bother me, and I'd personally like to see some other color like with ToQ 6gou, who was orange. Overall though, I guess we'll see where this goes and whether Donbrothers truly will be the last Sentai or not. Blazewing16 (talk) 23:40, 21 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there! :) If you get a chance could you do me a favor and take a look at the "In other media" sections on White Wolf (comics), Nakia (comics), Hippolyta (Marvel Comics), and Neptune (Marvel Comics) to see if they look legit? Also on Draft:Screwball (comics) which I am hoping to get back into article space before long. :) BOZ (talk) 00:04, 10 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Donbrothers[edit]

The show. People keep praising it for being the oddball of the Sentai series, but story wise, it's terrible. No real explanation as to how and why the Hitotsukis came to exist, what are the Donbrothers actually fighting against if the Nouto aren't really much of villains, Tsubasa/Inu Brother's effort to reunite with his girlfriend went down the drain and no explanation is given as to who Don Murasame and his "Mother" entity are supposed to be. The show pretty much relies on being chaotic and over the top quirks, story lore be damned.

Also, as you know, I'm an Ultraman fan, but the last two years their performances are terrible as well in terms of storyline and lore. The worst offender of all is the Ultraman Decker movie. People singing praises that it's great, but from my perspective, the movie's buildup lore and story appear to be the company (Tsuburaya) holding back their true efforts. Sorry that I had to vent, I've been busy these four months because of another job, but it's great to see you doing well.

Zero stylinx (talk) 06:16, 5 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I get where you're coming from. After Zenkaiger, I've pretty much dropped off from Super Sentai in general, partially because I can't keep up with the toku Wikipedia pages all the time, but also slightly because the writers have continued to fail at giving us compelling characters and stories. A friend of mine noted that ever since Gokaiger, the writing quality has gradually worsened because Toei outdid themselves with that series and there's no way they can ever top it. Hell, it feels like they aren't even trying with some of these series anymore. Kyuranger could've been good if they bothered to properly utilize all 12 of their Rangers. Plus, Zyuohger and LuPat are some of my least favorite of the post-Gokaiger series because both suffered from obvious favoritism and the former wouldn't stop using that damn depression "joke" with Misao. Admittedly, I enjoy Kyoryuger and Kiramager, and I do like some elements of the post-Gokaiger series. I just wish they could've turned out better. Anyway, I agree with your grievances with Donbrothers. Along with what you said, I personally don't like how little they used the Sentai/Avataro Gears, the fact that it was billed as a sequel to Zenkaiger, but barely has anything to do with them in the main series, and how Jiro feels like a Sixth Ranger for the sake of having one instead of actually being important like past Sixth Rangers. Also, don't worry about having to vent. We all need to release pent up anger before it ruins us. I've had to do it plenty recently. I hope you are doing well with your job and work on the Ultraman pages. Blazewing16 (talk) 09:33, 5 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Actually I have a confession too. The show Ultraman Decker is billed up as a Reiwa remake of Ultraman Dyna, a show which I grew up with when I was a kid, being entertained by the characters a the titular hero being literally my first hero. He's by no means a strong one like his predecessor and successor, but makes it up with his resolve to do better and not giving up. It also helps to demonstrate that he is not a deity or an absurdly superpowered hero who's holding back his strength. The Ultraman Decker movie reveals that he is responsible for creating Dinas (and Decker by proxy) had defiled the core aspect of what making Dyna as unique. He's no god, yet people keep saying that is just one bad comedy. At the end of it, it was just my childhood bias hating this movie in every second of it.

Cosmic Fury plot summaries[edit]

I have just begun a plot summary of Cosmic Fury's first episode. I've also seen previous chats stating you're trying to drop off from Super Sentai and I understand why. Thus, I shall keep pressing on in your stead, carrying your spirit in my summaries. Thanks for your effort and understanding. THonk36 (talk) 01:22, 6 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

King-Ohger[edit]

I guess it's been a while since we last talk. I was a bit hesitant in watching King-Ohger due to the previous two series, but I figured that I stick around at some point after Spider Kumonos appeared. The only thing I can say is that despite their approach to switch enemy faction mid-season and the episodes afterwards no longer the usual premise of fighting one monster of the week after another, the writing looked like the writers were in conflict with one another. That or the fact that they wanted to add up last minute writing but they can't. However, the last few episodes were the ones I never thought to re-enjoy Sentai again. The last time I had a blast like this was watching the Kyuranger finale back in college. I have no high hopes for Boonboomger though, only that I wish the best for the series.

In terms of Kamen Rider Geats, I do praise Yuya Takahashi for giving another shot after the COVID fiasco in 01 production. The show, while being a strong series, it still had its weakness. Namely the fact that Keiwa's turn to villainy was something that's forced by the story itself simply because they wanted to turn him evil. His later dilemma about learning his wish had consequences... I wish they brought that into the middle season so that more dead characters from DGP contestants were shown, like Ginpen who Keiwa carries a massive dilemma for seeing him die and unable to save him. At the end of the day, this series is lit, but not good enough even without comparing to Takahashi's previous success in Ex-Aid. I also wish that apart from Raise Buckles, they just sold the Core IDs in retail sales instead of shoehorned additions for P-Bandai to profit over.

That is all from and thank you. Perhaps I'll write another post like this next year.

You're welcome. To be honest, I haven't kept up with either King-Ohger nor Geats, though admittedly, I did attempt to start the latter. Blazewing16 (talk) 17:44, 29 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I'm... rather disappointed about this. The evidence is as clear as day though. Please think long and hard about how you're going to appeal. I'll give you a suggestion: You need to also address extensive logged out editing. -- ferret (talk) 15:24, 13 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
