Disambiguation link notification for October 27[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of Argentine sweets and desserts, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Veinticinco de Mayo (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Portal peer review[edit]

Hello,

I have just closed a portal peer review that you had started because the review had went unedited for several months. As I'm sure you can tell, the portal peer review process is rather understaffed, and I apologize if you didn't get what you were looking for. If you are still interested in working with portals, either the one that you brought to PPR or another one, and are looking for advice, please don't hesitate to reach out to me personally by leaving a message on my talk page. I would be happy to help.

Vitel toné[edit]

Hello, thank you for your edits to List of Argentine dishes. However, I noticed that the entry for Vitel toné had gone, and I have replaced it assuming it had been erased by mistake. If you really did mean to erase it then go ahead, although it might be good to give a reason here: Noyster (talk), 17:15, 19 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It was, in fact, a mistake. Thank you for replacing it!--Bleff (talk) 17:33, 19 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:La patota poster.jpg[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:La patota poster.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 21:43, 8 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:La historia oficial producción.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:La historia oficial producción.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 23:09, 11 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Per the discussion at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Albums/Archive_46#Piero_Scaruffi_-_Final_Verdict_on_using_him_as_a_source_in_reviews there's a very clear consensus here that Scaruffi is not to be used as a source in music/album articles in any capacity. So please, do not add his reviews to review charts or his opinions in reception sections anymore. It is a wp:self published source. Since this is a long running dispute, any contributor warned by the situation and who doesn't respect it, would encounter sanctions and could be blocked from editing. Thanks. You've been informed because you used this source here. Woovee (talk) 16:24, 6 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Request[edit]

On the Talk:Woman page it has been agreed to delete the picture of Sappho from the montage/grid on the page Woman (the photo also appears elsewhere on the page) and replace it with a picture of Christine Jorgensen. But none of us can figure out how to do that. Can you please do it for us? Thank you very much. 71.175.26.106 (talk) 13:51, 19 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Salonmartinfierro.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. moogsi(blah) 00:57, 27 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
