Welcome to WikiProject Germany[edit]

Welcome, Bohater, to the WikiProject Germany! Please direct any questions about the project to its talk page. If you create new articles on Germany-related topics, please list them at our announcement page and tag their talk page with our project template {{WikiProject Germany}}. A few features that you might find helpful:

  • The project's Navigation box points to most of the pages in the project that might be of use to you.
  • Most of the important discussions related to the project take place on the project's main talk page; you may find it useful to watchlist it.
  • We've developed a number of guidelines for names, titles, and other things to standardize our articles and make interlinking easier that you may find useful.

Here are some tasks you can do. Please remove completed tasks from the list.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me or any of the more experienced members of the project, and we'll be very happy to help you. Again, welcome, and thank you for joining this project! -- Kusma (talk) 14:39, 22 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re[edit]

No edit-wars against any project dude. You don't know me, so stop treating me as if I am racist please. What I said about German wiki is that I notice that in German and French wikis there is a lot of irrelevant banter and accentuated turf wars because they are smaller than the English wiki. I support the project in its essence, but the title issue is important: I am actually trying to make sure that the WP will run as smoothly as possible, I fail to see why that is so hard to see. Anyways, do what you like but don't forget no-one owns a WP or something. By the way, this is not the German wiki, people generally respond in the talk page of the other user so as not to clog up their watchlists. Just a heads up. Cheers! Barnstar[edit]

Thanks for the Barnstar. I hope we can make a big difference on these articles that need a lot of improvements. Ozgur Gerilla 01:13, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I hope too. --Bohater 01:33, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

hallo[edit]

--Bohater 00:09, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi - a stub template or category which you created has been nominated for deletion or renaming at Wikipedia:Stub types for deletion. The stub type, which was not proposed at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Proposals, does not meet the standard requirements for a stub type, either through being incorrectly named, ambiguously scoped, or through failure to meet standards relating to the current stub hierarchy or likely size, as explained at Wikipedia:Stub. Please feel free to make any comments at WP:SFD regarding this stub type, and in future, please consider proposing new stub types first! Grutness...wha? 06:23, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What did I say in the talk page, eh? :) Any Kurdistan stub will be deleted, just like TRNC etc. It is not Turks being anti-Kurdish, either: it is logic: it is not possible to organize and run a sane encyclopedia if we did, the best thing we have is the official sovereign countries and their borders. Again, get the country, then the stub, not the other way around.. :) There is not much Wikipedia can do if there is no independent and official country called Kurdistan
I am sorry if I might seem a bit harsh, but I am only being so because I know English Wikipedia and what might happen. By the same token, I removed the redlink that you had put to a proposed "Kurdish and Turkish wikipedians cooperation board". I did not because I don't want it, but just the opposite: I simply cannot see a reason or a need for it. It is not like Greeks and Turks where there is a huge hostile history and tons of articles concerning both sides. Even after the GR-TR board was launched, it is now only active when there are major disputes etc. There are practically only two-three Kurdish editors, and they are already present in related projects. If anything, there would be an overwhelming number of Turkish editors which would make the board useless and no different than the talk page of WP Turkey, of which you are welcome to participate by the way - we need all the help that we can get!! We have a tremendous workload.. Cheers! Baristarim 09:30, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
What I am saying is that, an overwhelming majority of Turks, me included, consider Kurds and Turks to be "ayni vatanin evlatlari". It might sound a bit romantic and all, but it is the truth.. You can always let me or WPTR know if we can help out with anything.. Take care Baristarim 09:38, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

By the way, you are not the creator of the project, or am I missing something? You should have also offered the lead coordinator job to users who have been around much longer, like Heja Helweda.. I don't know if he would have accepted it, but it would have been a nice gesture... Baristarim 09:56, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi

Nave min Francisco ye, ez xwendekarim zimane kurdi, but it's a little difficult to write!!!! I'm interested in starting with the project in French. I'm taking linguistics in a French University, I started to take Kurdish to see how a very different language may organise the reality in a very different way, and I really think that the language is amazing and beautiful. user: Franciscozelaia

ok, that is well. Please feel free to add your name to this list [[1]]. if you would like to join the project; you are also encouraged to participate in any area that might interest you. Furthermore I see, that you can speak Spanish too. We will create a further Project in Spanish Wikipedia. Would you like help us here. --Bohater 15:13, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, if it is not you, I apologize - but you have to admit that it looked pretty weird :) Anyways, I am also a bit stressed, maybe that's why I get hyped up easily.. Let's drop it in any case. You have been doing good work and making a lot of effort for Wikipedia, that's why I thought:

The Tireless Contributor Barnstar
For your tireless contributions to Wikipedia and "behind-the-scenes" efforts which, sadly, most people don't bother with but are important for Wikipedia. Tebrikler! Baristarim 15:33, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you!!. I hope we will be good Wikifriends. --Bohater 15:34, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
No worries :) Thanks by the way! Baristarim 16:07, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Coordinator[edit]

I really did not get what you were saying, do you want to be the coordinator or does Makalp want to be the coordinator. Either way I think it would be a good idea to wait a bit more to get some more people on board the project and then we can have people nominate themselves or other project members and then we can have elections to choose coordinators and assistant coordinators. Good work on the project, I have been busy lately so I have not got a chance to work on it. --D.Kurdistani 23:48, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well we decided the same. here. Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Kurdistan/Participants --Bohater 07:36, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Kurdish articles[edit]

Hi there; are you aware that all of your "list of Kurdish articles" articles appear to be empty of content, and that the alphabetical link at the top of the pages goes nowhere? I have made no change at all, anywhere, but all of these pages are candidates for deletion unless they receive at least some meaningful content.--Anthony.bradbury 11:06, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Anthony, well. the content of the lists will consist of these articles. Wikipedia:WikiProject Kurdistan/Main Articles. Please give me some time, to fill up. I have a exam. thanks. --Bohater 17:56, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Coloring[edit]

Take it easy, it does look better this way - however I am not going to make a big deal out of it if you revert again. I just think that it will be easier for other Turkish editors to join up, since the color issue is a political issue in Turkey and as such there are political connotations. Just a thought. Good job launching the portal by the way. cheers Baristarim 20:00, 31 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, ok you right, but this a Kurdistan Project and not Turkish , you know. Here we must consider the kurdish customs. The colors is not political, but cultural. These colors describe the son and freedom. --Bohater 20:02, 31 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

An arbitration case involving you has been filed. Feel free to comment there. -- Cat chi? 13:12, 2 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Template[edit]

Hey nice WPKU template! It is funny, it looks like the template I wrote for WPTR :) Just kidding.. By the way, you have forgotten to replace all mentions of WPTR when you copied - have another look at the template. It still says "{{WPTR}} should be placed...", for instance :) Cheers and happy editing! Baristarim 22:40, 2 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks,...It is true! I will correct it. --Bohater 09:12, 3 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

template film[edit]

hey, it looks like I might be causing some trouble? I'm just trying to tag some films that don't have infoboxes, is there a better way I should be doing this? Am I doing it in the wrong format? Peter

Well, a bot can automatically put the infoboxes. That is not problem. Here this here User:HagermanBot. --Bohater 11:46, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi, looks like you've adopted the cia map as the logo. I found it in the history of Category:Kurdistan. --Diyarbakır 13:24, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Is alright.. I don't have changed your edits.. So it is more easier to change the image. you know. See here [[2]].--Bohater 13:26, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Looks good. I've tried to work on Kurdistan categories, but they keep getting emptied and deleted. Maybe you'd like to make this a project goal? I don't get on wikipedia that often. --Diyarbakır 13:43, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well not problem.. from the day on... My Bot user:BOThater will do everything...I need some time to pragramm it. I think I will be finished soon. --Bohater 13:45, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
