May 2018[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your recent edit to David Pastrňák added a link to an image on an external website or on your computer, likely in an attempt to display that image on the page. For technical and policy reasons it is not possible to use images from external sources on Wikipedia. Most images you find on the internet are copyrighted and cannot be used on Wikipedia, or their use is subject to certain restrictions. If the image meets Wikipedia's image use policy, consider uploading it to Wikipedia yourself or request that someone else upload it. See the image tutorial to learn about wiki syntax used for images. Thank you. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 06:56, 21 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding external images to articles as you did here. If you click the "show preview" button by the edit summary box you will see that nothing shows up. If the image is your own or you hold the copyright rights to it, follow the steps above to add it to Wikipedia. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 13:32, 21 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I don't really know how else to explain this. Please stop doing this. Nothing shows up. It has to be uploaded to Wikipedia. Check out Wikipedia:Uploading images. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 21:48, 21 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Bostonbruinsfan22. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Jeremy Swayman, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Your draft article, Draft:Daniel Vladar[edit]

Hello, Bostonbruinsfan22. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Daniel Vladar".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. JMHamo (talk) 00:05, 24 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I advise you to stop, because otherwise you will be reported for disruptive editing and edit warring. Just because some user uses bad format that does not mean that the same should be done on other pages. – Sabbatino (talk) 13:38, 15 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Image edits[edit]

I'm not sure if your understanding my messages from the edit summaries I've been leaving in my edits, and perhaps I should've directly messaged you... But the reason why I keep reverting your edits is because your creating an image sandwich, in which your sandwiching blocks of texts between two images and or a template/infobox, which is highly discouraged per Wikipedia's Manual of Style (refer to MOS:SANDWICH for details). Be aware that all articles are required to comply with Wikipedia's Manual of Style.

Player awards[edit]

DO NOT reinstate conference championship trophies ("Prince of Wales Trophy" or "Clarence S. Campbell Bowl") or "Presidents' Trophy" awards in the players' awards and honors sections. The consensus is to not list them since those trophies are meant for teams and not people. – Sabbatino (talk) 07:25, 8 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

November 2021[edit]

Information icon Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit you made to Brad Marchand, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Per MOS:IMGSIZE, you should not add a specific image size to thumbnail images without a very good reason, such as a panoramic.GhostRiver 02:04, 9 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi sorry I now understand about the photo sizes. But please put back the international category as every NHL player has one as part of their award category such as Sidney Crosby and Alexander Ovechkin and many more.

You need to include references if you plan on adding these things. The onus is on you, the person adding the information, to find these, otherwise they are liable to be removed. See WP:PROVEIT. Additionally, please use four tildes to sign your name on talk pages. — GhostRiver 04:41, 9 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Bruins captains[edit]

Will you PLEASE stop changing Bergeron's tenure from 2021-present, to 2020-present. He was appointed in January 2021. GoodDay (talk) 22:44, 12 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Doesn't matter Please stop changing that he was named captain for the 2020-21 season. It starts by season not by year. Bostonbruinsfan22 (talk) 22:46, 12 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
We do it by 'year', not season. If I must, I'll report you for edit-warring. GoodDay (talk) 22:48, 12 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Bostonbruinsfan22, please stop with your edits here as GoodDay is correct that captains are added by year. Any further attempts to re-add your preferred edit at this time will be viewed as edit warring and you could face editing sanctions as a result. Deadman137 (talk) 22:59, 12 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

File copyright problem with File:Bobby-orr-bruins.jpg[edit]

Edit summaries[edit]

Any way you could add edit summaries? It really helps other users. Thanks! Masterhatch (talk) 01:22, 21 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. Bostonbruinsfan22 (talk) 01:23, 21 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
While I got you here, is there a reason you're removing references to cup winning years for players? Masterhatch (talk) 01:27, 21 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Because I tried adding them to Boston Bruins players and this person keeps reversing it saying it's not needed. Bostonbruinsfan22 (talk) 01:31, 21 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
May I ask which editor? I happen to think it's better with mention of Cup winning years. Masterhatch (talk) 01:44, 21 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I agree that's why I tried adding it for Boston Bruins players as well because they didn't have them but a lot of other players did but this person kept reversing it time after time. User talk:Sbaio Bostonbruinsfan22 (talk) 02:01, 21 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hold off on removing anymore. I'll bring it up at the hockey project page. I want to see what everyone else thinks. Masterhatch (talk) 02:10, 21 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ok no problem let me know what they think thanks. Bostonbruinsfan22 (talk) 02:11, 21 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You should stop with personal attacks, because I did not the user Sbaio kept reversing it about 5 times in a row for each player I added it on for. This can lead to a block if you continue to lie and accuse me of things that I did not do. In addition, you are constantly editing while logged out, which can also lead to a block. – sbaio 13:00, 21 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ok I did not know about not being allowed to edit while I'm logged out. But dude why are you lying the evidence is literally there for everyone to see. You reversed about 10 players 5 times each. I will report you. Bostonbruinsfan22 (talk) 19:01, 21 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
