A tag has been placed on Draft:Nijeder Mawte Nijeder Gaan requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://indianexpress.com/elections/in-bengal-election-season-artistes-lend-a-tune-to-song-written-during-caa-protests-7245573/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Sphilbrick Hello, my draft article: Draft:Nijeder Mawte Nijeder Gaan is nominated for speedy deletion for copyright violation. I was unaware that anti-plagiarism rules extend to Draft namespace too, I thought it applies only to Mainspace Articles, as the Article Help:Your first article doesn't mention that Copyright violation rules extend to Draft namespace too. I had intended to edit the draft in my own words before releasing it in the actual Article space. But before I could do that, I got the copyvio notice. Now, I've edited the draft in order to remove plagiarized content. I read the copyvio template at the top of draft article, which prohibits the article creator (me) to remove such a copyvio tag but allows the other creators to do so. I kindly request you to re-evaluate the article and hence remove the copyvio tag. The same request has also been made at Draft talk:Nijeder Mawte Nijeder Gaan. Thank you. CX Zoom, That Help article is very clear about avoiding copyright issues. I hadn't read it recently, and I wondered if it could possibly be construed as apply to article space but not draft space. I do not see it, please let me know if you think I missed something. Respect for copyright is not simply a Wikipedia policy it's the law. We don't have the legal right to say it doesn't apply to draft space. (That said, Wikipedia copyright policy is slightly more restricted than US copyright law, but I don;' think that distinction applies here.) I'm on a short break between basketball games and do not have the time to evaluate whether you have fixed the problem, but if someone else wants to, that's fine with me. As a small aside, you refer to both plagiarism and copyright violations. They are not the same thing. You can cure a plagiarism problem with quotes and attribution; copyright violations generally require rewrite (and attribution is missing). S Philbrick(Talk) 21:02, 28 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Marietta S. Robinson

I looked at my Wiki page yesterday and was appalled that someone had edited my page in a very incomplete and inaccurate way. I tried to just correct the bizarre entries and you have now deleted my page entirely. I respect the policies of Wiki, but, please, how do I correct my life story that some stranger created? If you look at my changes (which have now disappeared), you will see that they were nothing more than an attempt to correct inaccuracies. One little example is that they say I was a law clerk in Jackson, Missippi instead of Michigan. HELP!!!!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by MariettaRobinson (talkcontribs) 16:14, 22 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@MariettaRobinson: Well, I just looked up there, and found that the page on you has been deleted (see: this) per WP:G11 criteria: "Unambiguous advertising or promotion", among others including lack of reliable sources which can be mitigated by adding more sources about you, like interviews or news specifically about you on any trustworthy news media or some other agencies. The changes you made would've been largely acceptable if either were bundled with any additional reliable source, say for example a news article. But it is still possible to be undeleted by reaching out to the administrator who deleted it and asking them to review the page, which if they believe that they made a mistake will undelete OR via Wikipedia:Deletion review if the review is successful. CX Zoom (talk) 23:11, 22 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
. I did actually look at the edits prior to the additions by @MariettaRobinson:, and even then most of the text was completely unsourced or sourced to non-WP:RS like her LinkedIn profile. There is no way that this is a completed article, but in view of your comments I'll restore at Draft:Marietta S. Robinson Jimfbleak - talk to me? 10:47, 23 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Anarchyte: Hi, I just learnt that my Pending Changes Reviewer rights have lapsed while I was on a short Wikibreak. However, before I left, I made a number of meaningful contributions using the tool. Can you please review them and if satisfied grant me the right again? Thanks! ---CX Zoom(he/him) (let's talk|contribs) 16:38, 24 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Taiwan edit

Some user reverted my 3 days of work but because of your edit of Taiwan, I would have to manually re-do my work. So I reverted your small edit, but added it back afterwards. Thank you for understanding. WikiwiLimeli (talk) 16:58, 29 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Reference has no truth

Scroll has no reference of facts or ny book or record how can you make it as a refrenced article. Tommorrow any writer can push a fantasy in newspaper will it be a historical data? 1.22.9.69 (talk) 09:56, 29 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@1.22.9.69: I have no idea why the Scroll article is even there. It does not support any claims made in the article. So, I deleted the Scroll references from the article. However, the most recent edit made deleted information referenced using a work of noted academician Nitish K Sengupta. So, I've added it again. ---CX Zoom(he/him) (let's talk|contribs) 10:20, 29 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
