Done. Thanks for the heads up. Rebecca 03:19, 7 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thanks for picking that up. I just copied the template from another page, as I couldn't remember it. Thanks, Blnguyen | rant-line 05:32, 14 August 2006 (UTC).[reply]

Hello, I found you as you were listed as living in Australia. I wanted to know what you thought of this edit, and if you believed there was any merit to it or if this was just advertisement for Balfours Bakery. Thanks in advance. - Dozenist talk 04:53, 15 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Big Brother[edit]

Hi, Chanlord. According to this page, you are a member of the Big Brother WikiProject. It would appear, perhaps because Big Brother isn't airing in Australia, the United Kingdom, or the United States at the moment, that activity on Big Brother-related articles has died down quite a bit. Between seasons is a good time to be editing Big Brother-related articles as this is probably the only time where Wikipedians can focus on the articles that seem to have been forgotten about without too many Big Brother-related distractions. There are a few articles just waiting to be worked on, and proposed article changes on the Project talk page that have received little feedback. Nobody is forced to do anything as a Project member, but please try to edit whatever Big Brother articles you can and help with the WikiProject's aim - to make the Big Brother articles the best that they can be! Thanks. jd || talk || 20:57, 3 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Donald Trump[edit]

Just want to pop a quick thanks from a fellow wikipedian for adding references on the Donald Trump article. On this late Thurs night here in the States I wanted to embark on the drawn-out task of adding references to a totally non-referenced long drawn out section that's all over the news...it definitely made my life whole lot easier someone else was along to do the information digging and fixing. Tendancer 06:43, 22 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have replied to your explanation of your deletion on the Donald Trump Talk page.

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Special Art Box.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Special Art Box.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Age category[edit]

Hello! If you are receiving this message, that means that your user page is in a specific year category. Per a recent user-category per deletion, all specific year categories are to be deleted. If you wish to continue using year categories, you have two options:

If you wish, you may do both. Hopefully, this change in categorization will be quick and painless. Happy editing! --An automated message from MessedRobot 13:11, 9 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Bastok_(Final_Fantasy_XI).jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MER-C 11:44, 22 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Blitz is a what's-on guide, not a newspaper or magazine in a real sense. Anything that needs to be said about it can be said on Tharunka just above Xerox Positive. Also, I think you are too close to Arc to edit Arc-related articles. Call me a hypocrite, but I assume you care more about the guidelines than I do. If Blitz really deserved its own article, someone would come along and create it. By the way, looking forward to fresh comments from you on YouTube. Joestella 15:08, 30 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No hard feelings about Blitz (magazine). I hope that if and when Tharunka is on the AfD chopping block, you'll launch a spirited defence of it. Obviously I can't... conflict of interest. Joestella 14:29, 4 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image:Logo hoyts.jpg[edit]

I have tagged Image:Logo hoyts.jpg as {{no rationale}}, because it does not provide a fair use rationale. If you believe the image to be acceptable for fair use according to Wikipedia policy, please provide a rationale explaining as much, in accordance with the fair use rationale guideline, on the image description page. The same goes for Image:NIDA logo.gif, Image:Blitz (magazine).png, Image:Source logo.png, Image:UNSW Student Guild logo.gif and Image:Smigginholes2010.gif. If you do not provide rationales for the use of these images in the articles in which they are used, then they can be deleted from Wikipedia after 7 days. - Mark 07:32, 8 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

D&D articles for Wikipedia 0.7[edit]

Hi there!  :)

As someone who's worked on D&D and/or RPG articles before, I'm inviting you to participate in our goal to both improve articles that have been selected to be placed in the next Wikipedia DVD release, as well as nominate more to be selected for this project. Please see the WikiProject D&D talk page for more details. :) BOZ (talk) 18:50, 24 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

YS and Arc[edit]

Heh! Cheers! I'm looking forward to it and I'm sure you are too - although you've probably got a lot more stress thrown in to the mix...

I see you've been editing Arc @ UNSW and Tharunka quite a bit recently. Watch out you don't fall foul of any CoI problems! ;-) See you soon,

Please update your status with WP:VG[edit]

Dear WikiProject Video games member,

You are receiving this message because you have either Category:WikiProject Video games members or {{User WPVG}} somewhere in your userspace and you have edited Wikipedia in the recent months.

The Video games project has created a member list to provide a clearer picture of its active membership.

All members have currently been placed in the "Inactive" section by default. Please remove your username from the "Inactive" listing and place it under the "Active" listing if you plan on regularly:

Ideally, members are encouraged to do both, but either one meets our criteria of inclusion. Members still listed inactive at the beginning of November 2009 may be removed. You may re-add yourself to the active list at any time. Thank you for your help, and we look forward to working with you.

The article Monster Player Kill has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

A search for reference found a single published (gBooks) WP:RS mention in Geektionary: From Anime to Zettabyte, an A to Z Guide to All Things Geek, Adams Media, 2011 . Given the 2011 publication date it could well be sourced from this long unreferenced article. Fails WP:N and WP:V

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Nomination of Deakin University Student Association for deletion[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Deakin University Student Association is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Deakin University Student Association until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Epeefleche (talk) 07:20, 17 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Main Page appearance: Final Fantasy XI[edit]

This is a note to let the main editors of Final Fantasy XI know that the article will be appearing as today's featured article on May 16, 2013. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page. If you prefer that the article appear as TFA on a different date, or not at all, please ask featured article director Raul654 (talk · contribs) or one of his delegates (Dabomb87 (talk · contribs), Gimmetoo (talk · contribs), and Bencherlite (talk · contribs)), or start a discussion at Wikipedia talk:Today's featured article/requests. You can view the TFA blurb at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/May 16, 2013. If it needs tweaking, or if it needs rewording to match improvements to the article between now and its main page appearance, please edit it, following the instructions at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/requests/instructions. The blurb as it stands now is below:

Final Fantasy XI is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG), developed and published by Square as part of the Final Fantasy series. Designed and produced by Hiromichi Tanaka, it was released in Japan on May 16, 2002 for Sony's PlayStation 2, and for Microsoft Windows-based personal computers in November of that year. The game was the first cross-platform MMORPG and the Xbox 360's first MMORPG. The story is set in the fantasy world of Vana'diel, where player-created avatars can both compete and cooperate in a variety of objectives to develop an assortment of jobs, skills, and earn in-game item rewards. Players can also undertake an array of quests and progress through the in-game hierarchy and thus through the major plot of the game. Since its debut in 2002, five expansion packs have also been released along with six add-on scenarios. Hi there! You are cordially invited to an edit-a-thon this Saturday (21 September) in Sydney at the State Library of New South Wales (SLNSW), where you can collaborate with other Wikipedians throughout the day. Andy Carr, a senior librarian at SLNSW will also be helping out. The theme of the edit-a-thon is paralympics sports, but you are free to come along to meet other wiki contributors, and edit other topics.

If you are unable to attend in person, we will also be collaborating online. Details and an attendee list are at Wikipedia:Meetup/Sydney/September 2013. Hope you can make it! John Vandenberg 09:06, 19 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation[edit]

There is a backstage pass coming up to be followed by an editathon in the State Library of New South Wales on 23 November. This is the first time that an Australian cultural institution has opened its doors to us in this way and will be a special opportunity because the Library is providing: one of its best rooms; its expert curators (along with their expertise and their white gloves); a newly launched website (containing new resources); and of course, items from its collection (including rare and usually unavailable material) which we can look at, learn from, and use, to improve WP articles. For example, on the chosen topic (Australia and WWI), the Library holds many diaries and manuscripts from the period.

As you can see from the Library's project page, they have connected this editathon with their own work. They have already set out a wide range of resources to make things easier for us. Please sign up on the editathon project page if you can participate either online or in person with other Wikipedians. Hope to see you there! Copyright infringement[edit]

Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously. You must not copy and paste text from sources you find on the web into articles as you did in the article Margaret Hendry. I have removed the infringing text, but the material you copied is subject to copyright, as is almost everything on the web, and when creating or expanding articles, you should completely rewrite the information from the source using your own words.
