Welcome![edit]

Some cookies to welcome you! :D
Welcome to Wikipedia, Chickachee! I have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome!

Response to Help Desk Question[edit]

Hi there and Welcome to wikipedia! To create a page, first you must make sure it doesn't already exist. To do this type the exact name of the page you want to create (per WP:NAME) into the search box on the left. Hit Go. If the page already exists, you will be taken there. If not, search results will appear along with a red link that says "Create this page". Click on this title, add your information, click save, and you've done it! If you have any further questions, please feel free to write them here on your talk page or ask me on my talk page. Happy editing! --omtay38 20:12, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

We already have an article Roentgenium on this subject. Rather than delete your article, I have turned it into a redirect so that anyone who clicks on it will be taken to the Roentgenium article. When planning a new article, it's a good idea to search first to make sure there isn't already one that covers the subject. Have a look at the Guide to creating your first article. Another useful (though rather long) guide to read is the one about What Wikipedia is not. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 20:24, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
