January 2012

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on List of Intel Core microprocessors. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. -FASTILY Happy 2012!! 05:37, 5 January 2012 (UTC)

@Christian75: can you specify what's the difference between your version and my version except that latter uses a template for formatting? Is there a reason for edit warring?

I do not think that a reader undestand that SL8VQ should be read together with 31 W and Socket M and LF80539GF0342M. And its not cleat that SL9JM should be read together with 31 W but SL8VU with 27 W. The same with Socket and part number.
The first version is very clear and inutitive. Maybe the template isnt, but what matters is the output. Christian75 (talk) 18:22, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
Please see the current version and see if it's OK. The template formats the data consistently and thus should be preferred in tables where it's already used. 1exec1 (talk) 19:23, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
In the current version its clear how it should be read. The older versions looked better, but I am not goint to rv anything.... Of course the template should be preferred, but only when it gives sense. What the reader see is most important. Christian75 (talk) 21:02, 8 January 2012 (UTC)

I noticed your deprod. I found lot of books which describe software announcements, but nothing which appears useful for providing encyclopedic coverage of the thing. Did you identify such a source? – Pnm (talk) 22:43, 6 January 2012 (UTC)

I did a search in google book with: announcement email and it gave some interesting results. If you do not think so - I think the article shouldnt be deleted but made merged or redirected to email. Christian75 (talk) 21:11, 8 January 2012 (UTC)
Merge to electronic mailing list would work for me. Sources certainly substantiate that this thing exists, but don't seem useful for providing encyclopedic coverage. – Pnm (talk) 22:06, 8 January 2012 (UTC)
