A tag has been placed on Chandrapur-Padghe HVDC system, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Shrikanthv (talk) 12:44, 25 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for October 2[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited International Council on Large Electric Systems, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Substation (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

DYK nomination of HVDC converter[edit]

Hello! Your submission of HVDC converter at the Did You Know nominations page has been reviewed, and some issues with it may need to be clarified. Please review the comment(s) underneath your nomination's entry and respond there as soon as possible. Thank you for contributing to Did You Know! Orlady (talk) 18:49, 19 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please see another issue which needs to be resolved about this DYK nomination. MANdARAX  XAЯAbИAM 22:37, 23 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Clampower, we have removed the final "kettles" phrase from the hook because of the sourcing issue alluded to above. I think the hook is still pretty good, but if you can resolve the sourcing, we could add it back in. Be sure to let us know at the main DYK talk page (here) what you'd like to do; the old nominations page has closed, and should not be added to at this point. Thanks! HVDC converter[edit]

Hello, I was trying to translate the english article about HVDC (which is quite bad) for the french Wikipedia, when I discovered your article about HVDC converter. To sum it up : Bravo! Nice diagrams, which really explain everything. Last week, I was thinking that it would be so much work to make all these diagrams, and there are all already in your articles! Congratulation once again. psemdel on the french wikipedia 194.138.39.56 (talk) 10:52, 21 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have just seen your answer (it was on my "user page" and not in "Talk", but nevermind). Thanks for your proposal, but the translation was not that difficult (even if, sometimes it is difficult to know the right word in french as everybody speak about HVDC in english or german...). The result is here : HVDC on the french wikipedia. Some red links are still there and there is a little bit of work to do naturelly, but what a progress in comparison to the last version! Thank you one again, the schemes helped me that much! psemdel 77.190.109.138 (talk) 16:40, 20 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Good job on article electrode line[edit]

The article electrode line has had exactly 1 edit since October, and it was your excellent expansion and referencing. Thank you for that, great job! Katana (talk) 14:45, 12 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

GIF[edit]

Hi! I saw your uploaded GIF files(Which are probably created by you). I'm very interested to make one of them. Would you please explain how can I make it? For example this one.--Freshman404Talk 05:07, 30 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Quite simple in principle, although it took a bit of practice to perfect. It was a 2-stage process - I used a drawing package (MS Visio, although there are others that would probably do it) to create the basic drawing, then changing one piece at a time I saved a series of snapshots (each being one frame of the movie) as GIF files. I then used Adobe Photoshop to assemble these into the animated GIF file. It's a while since I did this but I think the command was called something like "save for web". Hope this helps.
