And a happy new year to you, too!

Well, the title says it all, really. 2006 is finally over. May you enjoy 2007! Blood Red Sandman Open Up Your Heart - Receive My EviLove 00:21, 1 January 2007 (UTC)

A card for you

JISC

I see that you are a New Yorker, just as I am. But I've done a lot of work with British libraries in the RW, and the JISC in the JISCmail article caught my attention. Fortunately, because JISC is the major working organization for them all. I fixed the article, and have tried to instruct the obviously inexperienced editor about what is needed. I check speedy for this sort of thing every few days. DGG 05:05, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

If you're interested ...

You might or might not be interested in working on an article called Glasgow Emancipation Society. It's an off-shoot of James McCune Smith, which I saw you'd worked on pretty extensively. NinaOdell and I have begun the article and we've dug up a lot of useful information, so if you're interested the help would be much appreciated :). Thanks, Mrmaroon25 00:21, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

Speedy delete

Hey, thanks for letting me know that an article stub I'd started (East Anglian Daily Times) had been tagged for speedy deletion. It transpires that it was deleted before I had a chance to step in. It was tagged as db-blank which seems surprising as it was a stub article, with an external link. It wasn't really blank and wasn't really out of context either, since it was stubbed correctly. A very quick Google search shows the EADT has a circulation of just less than the Eastern Daily Press so why wasn't the article prod'ed instead? I'm not too bothered but the justification for speedy delete seems to be missing in this case. The Rambling Man 08:26, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

Thanks again, I managed to save it for a bit longer! Cheers! The Rambling Man 08:16, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

AMA (Yugayuga)

Hi Cocoaguy - thanks for that. I've added some comments. Pretty bizarre - I have a feeling that Yugayuga has completely misunderstood everything I wrote. Grutness...wha? 01:37, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

Your user boxes may need to be rearranged

I am stuck with viewing at 1024x768. When I view your user page, your user boxes end up on top of one another. You may wish to rearrange them. At my resolution, you get only three columns. Since you have one column taken up by your floating column, that leaves you with two. Will (Talk - contribs) 06:42, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

AMA (2ct7)

Hi Cocoaguy. You left a message on my talk page though its linked page does not immediately appear to have a space provided for my response; the wikisource of the 'discussion' section seems to reserve that section for your client and yourself. Anyway, 2ct7 has been violating a number of guidelines frequently, from WP:CIVIL to WP:PA though most clearly WP:AGF and it seems your client finds it difficult to write a comment without making false accusations. I might have sought advice as to bring more reason to 2ct7 but I assume a rather youthful person (at least that is what I would hope after our WP discussions) and limited myself to a few clear statements and advice. The obvious thing to do, is to read the discussions on the Humanism talk page 'Broken Link' and thereunder 'Accidental revert' (and have a look at the actual article's history for edit comments by 2ct7 and myself), and have a word with your client. Kind regards. — SomeHuman 30 Jan2007 18:14 (UTC)

AMA (Yugayuga)

So you want me to close this. Yugayuga is allowed to call me a racist with no evidence, and I should close this case without him apologising? I think not. This is an appalling state of affairs and I am shocked that you should be not onlywilling to go along with it but actively calling on me to agree to it. I am now being called a racist by other Tamil editors due to this case. Unless Yugayuga recants this absurd accusation, I will have no option than to bring this to a higher level. My only other option would be to resign as a wikipedia editor and administrator. If the Wikipedia community not only allows but actively condones the slandering of one editor by another, then it is not the Wikipedia I thought it was. This is supposed to be a community - and communities will not work if this sort of disgusting behaviour is allowed to exist without action. Close the case? Definitely not! Grutness...wha? 22:39, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

Ah - apologies. I misunderstood you. I am filing a RfC against Yugayuga, BTW. I would welcome input from you at that RfC. Grutness...wha? 22:56, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for that - it's at Wikipedia:Requests_for_comment/Yugayuga. I've probably filled in the details in completely the wrong way - I've never initiated an RfC before, and the instructions for that page are horrendously convoluted. Cheers, Grutness...wha? 23:59, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
Silly question, but is there any reason why you signed under "other users" rather than under the heading for those who tried to mediate? As the person in charge of the AMA case, surely you were involved in the mediation process...? Grutness...wha? 06:45, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

Looking at how the AfD debate has moved forward, do you maybe want to think about changing your mind with a speedy keep? --Mereda 11:45, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

Arbitration Team

Hi, thank you for joining our Arbitration Team. Hopefully, this gets moving fast and we can so some good job. The only favor I ask you is to help Geo and me (the other two members) in making some "advertising", i.e: if you know someone that could be interested on this, let him know about our team... or whatever. Yours! --Neigel von Teighen 12:01, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
