You're Reversion of my Edits was Unjustified

Please tell me what you were thinking. I spent 4 hours editing that page and you reverted it. I want you to fix your mistake at once! — Preceding unsigned comment added by69.120.121.112 (talk) 00:23, 9 December 2011 (UTC)

Maybe this should explain, WP:Vandalism. -- MSTR (Chat Me!) 00:26, 9 December 2011 (UTC)

Reverted blanking on "Art of Hopeless"

I have reverted this edit you made to "Art of Hopeless". Per policy if an article's creator and only contributor of substantive content blanks a page then this is interpreted as the author wishing for the page to be deleted, and a {{db-blanked}} tag can be placed on the page. In this case another editor did make an edit; however, the edit was only to wikify and was therefore not a substantive edit. Cheers!—KuyaBriBriTalk 21:47, 13 December 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for the policy reminder. I had read that once in a fleeting moment, but did not remember. Dan653 (talk) 21:51, 13 December 2011 (UTC)

Simple Edits

i was just making simple edits...please stop adding them back in! — Precedingunsigned comment added by 98.233.161.125 (talk) 22:35, 15 December 2011 (UTC)

What you did was no simple edit [1] you deleted over 7,000 words. If this was an accident please be more careful and use the preview button. Second, please always sign talk pages with 4 ~ (tildes). Cheers. Dan653(talk) 22:44, 15 December 2011 (UTC)

Please delist the bristol (software) page

Hi Dan,

As the author of the bristol audio synth app, and original author the page that has been cropped beyond recognition by a team of people I now consider to the be the wiki stasi's can you please just remove this page.

Bristol is a free, open source, public domain software application. I wrote it, still do, I do not suggest it is the best app for audio synthesis but it is there.

I totally disagree with the edits to the original page as I feel they were stripped of the content that I put in such a way that your stasi's left in only the parts that they could understand. In my opinion a part of the goal of an encyclopedia is to draw people in and that includes drawing them into to new ideas. I tried to present that in the page I submitted rather than promote or eulogise the application.

As a part of the free community it concerns me that there are people acting as such censors but it that is what you feel this site needs then I would prefer to be removed.

I have donated to the site.

I will not be doing so again.

Regards. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ncopeland (talkcontribs) 22:22, 17 December 2011 (UTC)

A discussion that may be of interest to you

Hey there, Daniel, there is a discussion that may interest you at Wikipedia:Counter-Vandalism Unit/Re-formatting/Discussion#CVU Guideline Proposal. As one of the hardest working Anti-vandals that I've run into, I'm sure the Project would love to hear your imput. Cheers!Achowat (talk) 19:42, 1 February 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for the heads-up. Being the first time that I have seen the page above Wikipedia:Counter-Vandalism Unit/Re-formatting/Discussion#CVU Guideline Proposal I have a few questions. As there is no question section I will ask you.
  1. What exactly is the CVU?
  2. From what I have read I think I would like to be involved, but how, and with what???
I guess I would do Abuse Patrol: RC Patrol, but I also could help with SRTF. Doing admin work on the project would be fine too, but that depends if only actual admins could do that.
(Yes, I understand that everything is in the works at the moment, just thinking).
And lastly its nice to hear that my input would be valued, but I do not know exactly what input that would be. Dan653 (talk) 00:35, 2 February 2012 (UTC)

Well, to answer your questions, WP:CVU is the Counter Vandalism Unit, a group of editors who work to fight vandalism. It has been more-or-less dormant recently, and there is an attempt to revitalize the project. Part of that discussion involved doing a lot of new and different things, and part of that may or may not include Coordinators (essentially members of the project to focus on making sure the Project fulfills it's mission). Right now CVU is little more than a list of people who'd like to fight vandals. "SRTF" is a term I'm not familiar with, I'm sorry. I brought this discussion to your attention because of your attentiveness in patrolling Recent Changes. I can't tell you what your opinion is on the matter, but I think you should look at what you'd like a group like this to do and address the comments and !votes. We value all inputs, especially those that could use CVU. Any more questions, jst ask. Achowat (talk) 04:41, 2 February 2012 (UTC)

Information

How come I can't change the information on wikipedia — Preceding unsigned comment added by Terrence Frankford (talkcontribs) 20:52, 6 February 2012 (UTC)

First please sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~). Second, you cannot just go around adding "pussy" or "fagot" to pages. Wikipedia is an encylcopedia read by many people and no one wants to see obscenities on it. 20:56, 6 February 2012 (UTC)

Harel Brigade

Hi Dan653,

I think that you made a mistake :

So, there is no doubt possible. In that article 1948 Palestine War is the right term to use.

Why do you disagree ? 81.247.171.5 (talk) 21:08, 13 February 2012 (UTC)

Sorry, spat of vandalism ongoing. If you haven't already reverted my mistake I'll do it now. Dan653 (talk) 21:09, 13 February 2012 (UTC)
No worry. It was good faith and it is not something that is well known.
I prefer that we follow the usual process and you self-revert.

Hi Dan,

you shoot faster than your shadow... ;-) Please, see this List of villages that were depopulated during the 1948 Palestinian exodus. You will see that is indeed the title of this article, which is not List of villages (...) 1948 Arab-Israeli War. The reason is the same as the one that I gave to you here above. The events that are described started before that war...81.247.171.5 (talk) 21:24, 13 February 2012 (UTC)

Here is it : List of Arab towns and villages depopulated during the 1948 Palestinian exodus81.247.171.5 (talk) 21:27, 13 February 2012 (UTC)

Okay, I see but I kind of disagree with the title of the document because most of the Palestinians left on their own accord and their leaders encouraged them. But, since I'm not going to go about researching this topic as I am too busy I'll revert it again. Happy editing.Dan653 (talk) 21:31, 13 February 2012 (UTC)

I understand.
depopulated doesn't mean expulsion, it can also mean that they left or fled.
In fact, in mean both : expulsion or flight without precision.
Note anyway that was is important is that it started before 15 May and the birth of Israel. Not a lot of people knows this.
