Thank you for your help[edit]

Thanks for the information, I really needed it. I can help you about designing your userpage, For userboxes go to Wikipedia:Tags and search in Wikipedia:Writing search result to help to improve your latest and upcoming articles. In Wikipedia you can edit any article and help to improve it or writing your own article. But the article will be deleted if its meet the standards of Wikipedia:Deletion policy or Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not.

And the deletion tag maybe will stay for another year because I'm in Saudi Arabia so it's not possible to check to the local library.

I was born in Sabah and my village is in Kampung Banting. I try to contribute to Wikipedia with making Sipitang and other related to it as a featured article in the main page. I am available from 8:00pm to 8:00am for ramadan season or till the end of September.

Thank you again--Mohd wara (talk) 00:08, 4 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Picture[edit]

No problem Danazach. U can use any of the picture. Btw, u dont have to upload the picture onto en.wikipedia because the picture is already uploaded in Commons. U just have to copy the link from Commons, eg: Image:SipitangLocationMap.png and then paste it in the Wikipedia page. ќמшמφטтгמtorque 05:20, 22 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

And, u are invited to join the Cartography dept of WikiProject Malaysia. We can discuss about maps of Malaysia and Sabah. Click here: Wikipedia:WikiProject Malaysia/Cartography ќמшמφטтгמtorque 05:25, 22 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Meet-up: Editors from Malaysia[edit]

Hello! You might or might not have seen me around here as I've not been active in Wikipedia the past few months. Before leaving for NS, it was my intention to form a Malaysian user group. I'm still very much interested in forming the group. However, before forming the group, I would love to organize a meet-up between editors of the Malaysian editing community to test the waters and hear what you guys might have to say. To my knowledge, there has not been a Wikipedia meet-up in this country before. I don't mind organizing the meet-up but need to know if anyone is interested in joining the meet-up. So... please reply and let me know if you would be interested in joining a meet-up and your ideas/thoughts about a user group. Thank you.

Looking forward to hearing from you, Bejinhantalks 12:29, 15 December 2012 (UTC) (Message delivered by EdwardsBot (talk) 12:29, 15 December 2012 (UTC))[reply]

Putoh[edit]

Hi,

Ethnologue says Putoh may be Lun Bawang. Do you have any idea? I'm wondering if it's worth creating a stub, or if it should just be redirected to Lun Bawang.

Thanks — kwami (talk) 04:00, 8 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, thanks. The problem could be as simple the name "Putok" being applied to more than one language. I thought maybe you'd be familiar with the lit. — kwami (talk) 05:11, 9 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Sabah[edit]

Hi, thanks for revert all vandalism on Sabah related articles, seems many of the vandalizer didn't know the true history of Sabah. They think all part of Sabah are owned by the Sultanate of Sulu. — иz нίpнόp ʜᴇʟᴘ! 12:06, 23 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi :) No problem. Agree with you on the lack of awareness about the true history of Sabah. What's more appalling is even established websites like The Economist don't even bother to check the facts before publishing things relating to this dipute.
And so, thanks a lot also to you for helping me to debunk these misconception by sharing it with Wikipedia Melayu etc! Cheers!--Danazach (talk) 01:42, 24 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
No problem :)
Yep, I also use your map on Russian and Indonesian Wikipedia to clear this misconception. Ah, papers like this will make people more confused. — иz нίpнόp ʜᴇʟᴘ! 16:08, 24 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Sir, you are spreading false information, a real historian can verify that the Sultanate of Sulu temporarily leased Sabah to the British. Wikipedia is a place for the spreading of factual information and these opinions cannot be tolerated. Even third-party courts in countries such as Luxembourg and France--countries that have similar diplomatic ties to both the Philippines and Malaysia--have ruled in Sulu's favour. Ztimes3 (talk) 02:35, 14 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Plus, you are obviously biased as a Malay. Ztimes3 (talk) 02:37, 14 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Ztimes3, I am not sure whether you are out of touch or not aware of recent news, but all the recent ruling have reversed the abuse of arbitration law (by court hopping and also continue using the rogue arbitrator Stampa) by the Sulu sultanate in Europe.
Paris reverse the earlier ruling (7-June-2023)
https://www.reuters.com/world/asia-pacific/malaysia-wins-appeal-against-partial-award-15-bln-claim-by-sultans-heirs-2023-06-07/
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2023-03-16/paris-court-upholds-malaysia-s-stay-on-sulu-heirs-award#xj4y7vzkg
The Hague rejected Sulu Appeal (28-June-2023)
https://www.cnnphilippines.com/news/2023/6/28/Malaysia-Hague-ruling.html
So I am not sure what are you talking about Danazach (talk) 06:50, 14 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Danazach, thank you for your reply, I respect that you have maintained your position on this issue. The case involving Sabah however, is still unfinished and the ruling in Paris is not applicable in other arbitration courts.
A quote from Paul Cohen, among the world's foremost international arbitration practitioners:
"This is a preliminary ruling, on a preliminary measure, in one of several jurisdictions where we are seeking enforcement. We have yet to even see the ruling - the same is true of Malaysia - so we're not sure on what basis Malaysia is seeing fit to comment at this time."
If you have any more arguments or recent rulings in the news, feel free to share. I am happy to listen to your views and opinions.
Cheers mate. Ztimes3 (talk) 06:18, 24 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
With all due respect @Ztimes3, I am surprised you quote Paul Cohen, the lawyer representing Sulu's heir on the case, and still dare to go around claiming I am the one biased.
Quoting the lawyer, and not realizing he is PAID to be biased and speak in support of Sulu goes to show your biasness, don't you think? By the way, Paul Cohen quote was in January 2023 (https://www.reuters.com/world/asia-pacific/malaysia-says-luxembourg-court-sets-aside-request-enforce-15-bln-arbitration-2023-01-26/), the ruling that quashed Paul Cohen's opinion in June 2023.--Danazach (talk) 11:36, 24 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Danazach, I have already ceased claiming you're biased. In fact, I hereby redact the comment that pointed out your bias. With all due respect sir, I think it is utterly absurd of you that while I am open to your opinions, you are incredibly intent on criticising me.
Additionally, it is also absurd of you to refer to me as biased just because I was unaware of that information, which I apologise for.
Here at Wikipedia, us editors should be open to others' opinions and debate some facts respectfully, in order to ensure that people across the world can access factual and well-critiqued information.
I am still open to your views, but please convey them respectfully. Thank you. Ztimes3 (talk) 08:50, 25 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
By the way, that comment that pointed at bias was not towards you it was towards @Ranking Update. Ztimes3 (talk) 08:52, 25 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hello @Ranking Update, I respect your opinion, but I don't appreciate you calling it vandalism. Also there are treaties and all that to prove it. Ztimes3 (talk) 06:21, 24 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Courtesy note[edit]

Hi. Hope you're well.

I'm not sure if I'm supposed to notify you when I link to one of your diffs in an ANI report, so I'm leaving you this note to let you know.

I linked to one of your comments in this report: Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents#User:Omdo. I'm not asking you to comment there, unless you want to, just making sure I notify anyone I mentioned, however tangentially. Cheers. Begoontalk 03:32, 7 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thanks for notifying, and I must commend your proactive effort to take action on users like him. In a way, I also get to learn on how to deal with such users. Thanks again Begoon. --Danazach (talk) 09:38, 9 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I like to think I deal with everyone on the same level to begin with, but then the levels get adjusted based on experience. There's still never any need to lose one's temper though, or trade insults, or advantage in doing so, however infuriating behaviour can be, and tempting though I often find it! In the end we can only show them how to be better by being consistently better than they are... Begoontalk 12:36, 9 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

North Borneo dispute copyvio concerns[edit]

Hi! I really don't care about what information is put in the article since I am not an expert or interested in it, I just have some concerns over some copyvio that you have put into the article this past August. It wasn't too big, but just a friendly reminder that even phrases can be copyrighted depending on the source. I have removed it, but if you want to go back and add the content back in a way that isn't copyvio, feel free! Kind regards, Sennecaster (talk) 20:49, 29 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Additionally, it also seems that you did a few cut and paste moves from North Borneo dispute into Sultanate of Sulu and forgot to use the interwiki copy notice. This was from 2012. I'm sorry if I sound curt, but both articles are kind of disasters and I really don't like copyvio. Kind regards, Sennecaster (talk) 21:29, 29 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hi there! thanks for the comment. May I know which one are you referring to? As far as I recall August edit was mainly on the recent diplomatic spat between Malaysian and the Phillipines foreign minister. It was actually cited to Twitter adequately..can you be more precise on which one are you u referring to. In fact hordes of editor came after your edit to make more changes to it. Now I am confused which copyvio I alledgedly committed? --Danazach (talk) 03:48, 1 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The August ones were flagged from news sources, so usually that problem is leadups to quotes (I don't think your violation was very big at all on reflection). I think we can probably drop it as honestly there are bigger problems, sorry if I caused any distress or confusion! retsacennS (Talk) (Pain and Suffering) 04:37, 1 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
