RE:LP

I think you completely described those three edits with, "We all had too much to drink :)" :-p. That's probably edit of the year in my opinion. --ShadowJester07Talk 16:26, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Kapodistrias Museum

Hi DarkFalls. First let me thank you for the courtesy of your notice about the DYK status of Kapodistrias Museum. I have however an additional request to make. The hook has been trimmed, after a comment on the discussion of the Main page, and we lost half of it. Now we don't have the contrast between the first Greek Governor and the first female mayor, with the additional fact that they belonged to the same family. In my opinion this has weakened the hook considerably. I left comments on talk of the Main page but no action has been taken. I would have requested Borg Queen to reconsider the edit, but, judging from her comments on talk, she seems to think that she actually fixed the problem, so I am reluctant to ask her directly. Could you possibly look into this? I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance. Dr.K. (talk) 13:51, 7 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much. I really appreciate it. However it may have been done please submit my thanks to anyone and everyone responsible. 16:13, 7 March 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tasoskessaris (talkcontribs)

Dark Falls, I note that you were the admin who blocked this account for 31 hours in August 2007. The user has not learned a thing and I have slapped a test4 template on his page. If you are interested - he has just placed a posting on his blog taking Wikipedia to pieces. FYI and action, maybe through some senior admins who are familiar with the area concerned? Oh - and it may be an idea to do a check user on User:Appto to see if the two are the same person, given the similarlities in argument. GetDumb 01:36, 11 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

DYK

Hi there DarkFalls. You seem to be one of the few DYK admins active tonight. Any chance you could post the update to the mainpage? I can do the notifications if you don't have the time. Gatoclass (talk) 10:08, 12 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That was quick! Thanks very much :) Gatoclass (talk) 10:15, 12 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Lindy Morrison

Removing other comments other than your own from another users talk page with the comments "Rubbish" is hardly what I would expect from an admin. Considering the comments are an official Wikipedia tag and User:Lindymorrison had removed sourced information from the article I am well within my rights to act on vandalism. Since it is quite obvious vanity/self-promotion going on within the article one has to question why. TheClashFan (talk) 22:57, 26 March 20

I strongly suggest you check the reliability of the sources, before complaining about self-promotion or vandalism. —Dark talk 05:27, 27 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No problems :) —Dark talk 07:06, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Appreciate it as I had a check of my going straight to 4 - when i see edit summaries like that i really think going through the steps is a bit, um slow ? :) SatuSuro 07:10, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

For severe cases of vandalism, one warning is enough. There's no need to go through all of them when you know that the user has no chance of contributing properly. —Dark talk 07:11, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for saying that - appreciated SatuSuro 07:12, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Short history of nearly everything

Can you explain to me how the edit I made was vandalism? I'm trying to start a discussion about this particular section of this article and its worth, which is being debated right now. I have some questions:

  1. How did you edit the article back so quickly?
  2. How did you find out about it?
  3. Why did you edit the article back? What about the chnage did you find offensive,
  4. When you reverted it back so quickly, did you look at the discussion page first?
  5. Are errors sections about books to be included in articles? Some of the errors include spelling mistakes.
  6. If a section of a wikipedia article is in dispute, what happens to the article in the mean time?

I look forward to discussing this with you on the article talk page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.5.63.22 (talk) 07:47, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You were removing a sourced section with no explanation, thus I took the deletion to be vandalism. —Dark talk 07:50, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I would appreciate if you took the time to answer some of my questions. I feel I have a legitmate edit here and I would like a fuller response. --68.5.63.22 (talk) 07:57, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  1. I used Special:RecentChanges
  2. Per above, I saw it on RecentChanges and reverted
  3. I took the changes to be "offensive" as you removed the whole section without any explanation whatsoever.
  4. No I did not, because there was no indication on your edit summary as to the discussion (Please link to the talk page if you wish to make large [possibly controversial] changes)
  5. I have no opinion as to that. I merely thought I was dealing with vandalism
  6. It usually stays as it is until the discussion has concluded with consensus on whether the information should be included or not.
I am sorry if you feel offended by the revert. It was a mistake and I acknowledge it. —Dark talk 08:03, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for you time. It was my fault for not explaining the nature of the deletion. In future posts I'll work on that. Thanks also for showing me the recent changes page, it helps me to figure out how this whole thing works. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.5.63.22 (talk) 08:08, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
