Do you think it's necessary? When someone removes specific content there may be a justifiable reason (which would be helpful in an edit summary), but if they're blanking the whole page it's most likely vandalism. Occasionally, pages are blanked for justifiable reasons (with good faith intentions), as it is stated on {{blank}}, however, {{blank2}} includes sections of pages. Whether the web site is maintained by staff or students does not make a difference since the copyright is held by the school (going by the Jabalpur Engineering College © 2012 at the bottom of each page). The content is not in the public domain. Most of the content that I removed wouldn't have been appropriate for Wikipedia even if it were in the public domain, since it's written in a flowery and non-neutral style and was not accompanied by independent references (i.e. those not related to the school). Frankly, Wikipedia ought to be be more customer-friendly if it expects a voluntary assistance from us. For your information, I have spent over a week to put together a truly representative List of Czech Americans, which, as I could see, is far better than most of your other Lists. Instead of getting thanks from Wikipedia staff, I have only received criticisms and obstructions. WikAdvisor Sock Vandalism

Hi! Thanks for helping out with damage control from the latest IP address of the WikAdvisor sockmaster. This user is most likely Billy Amato, and will most likely continue to vandalize the following articles: Studio 54, Steve Rubell, Ian Schrager, The Rascals as well as those articles' talk pages. He will insert information from his personal website, the address of which I can't type on Wikipedia, since it has been banned. Whichever editor reverts the vandalism can expect to have their userpage vandalized, as well as receiving no communication whatsoever from the user. Hi Discospinster, I wish to thank you very much for reverting the vandalism on my talk page, as well as temporarily blocking 71.133.213.175 from further vandalising Wikipedia. Can you please indefinitely block this IP from editing? Unfortunately, this is the second time this user has been blocked in a period of less than a week since that user began editing here. The user Bongwarrior has also blocked this IP a few days ago for vandalism and editor attacks (whole list found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/71.133.213.175). Based on the severity of the vandalism, and how quickly they were done in a short time period - even immediately after the first block was lifted, I believe that this user should be blocked indefinitely to prevent further vandalism, prevent any more attacks and threats to other editors, and to prevent any further disruption and disturbances on Wikipedia. You're welcome. I don't usually put an indefinite block on IPs, since some of them will be used by other (non-vandal) editors. (See also WP:IPBLENGTH for the Wikipedia policy.) User:71.133.213.175 has only been blocked once, by me, as you can see at the block log. Oh, I remembered Bongwarrior has temporarily blocked this IP earlier and expired, before you did. Oh yes, there's another troublesome IP atop of the one above, its 71.133.155.169 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/71.133.155.169). This IP has engaged in racially discriminatory editor attacks against me, labelling me as being Chinese when I'm not (I'm Viet) in the Mi Quang article talk page, vandalized the China Beach article by calling American troops "idiots" (and wrote "take that bitches" in the edit summary), committed pro-communist Vietnamese censorship on the North Vietnam, 1975 Spring Offensive and Ho Chi Minh articles by deleting truthful and substantiated content in the articles that were critical of the communists. I strongly believe the 2 IPs I've given are connected to the same group or person (who switches between 2 IPs), because both IPs attacked me in talk pages & in edit summaries, both made pro-communist Vietnamese edits and deletions on Vietnamese Cold War historical/political articles, both vandalized articles, both used profane language in edits and edit summaries, both are supposedly from the Los Angeles area and use AT&T as their service provider, both are Vietnamese, both have similar speech patterns (like "stop making stupid edits", often using the word "crap", and both had grammatical errors when editing, indicating English isn't their first language) and both began editing and causing trouble in Wikipedia this month. I'm keeping a close eye on these IPs, but I think more trouble will come and the two IPs are used as sockpuppets. I'll report any new developments on these users. my edit error

re: Benedict Cumberbatch well I realized that I made a mistake and it was brought to my attention by two Wikipedia fanatic's. Dicospinster(special) and AddiHockey10. I was in the process of trying to fix the problems I made because I realized I was wrong. I didn't think that people were going to jump down my throat in seconds and, accuse me of not adding non-constructive information and vandalism. I don't think that I will ever make another edit ever. Since some people seem to get so touchy/feely. Yes I should of used the sandbox. I'm still new to this. This has curtailed my trying to edit anything. Sanctions against Iraq

Can I ask why you reverted my edit at Sanctions against Iraq? I was just correcting the article to say what the source says. If we aren't specific and just say 500,000, then people could get the mistaken impression that they mean 500,000 people total, rather than 500,000 people under age 5. That's a huge difference, and we should stick with what the sources say about it. I'm guessing you just didn't read it carefully, or actually check the source to verify what I said, and figured it was vandalism or something. Economic Materialism

Can you explain why you reverted my edit of Economic Materialism? The page is a mess, a heap of leftist clichés. No serious philosopher or ethicist admits of the existence of "materialism" in the sense that it is used on the page--at least not as distinct from historical concepts of "greed" or "avarice." Read over the talk section: you will find that the page has been roundly condemned. Even if you and some others think the Economic materialism article is not good, the correct response is not to remove it without consensus, which is essentially what you did (silence is not the same as consensus here).
