redirecting of Throw

Hi!

I just want to know why the "Throw" entry is automatically redirected to "Throwing" when there are other Throw entries that are in wikipedia, such as this: Throw (band). I remember there was a time when simply entering "Throw" would take you to a page that allowed you to choose which "Throw" iteration you mean: band, the act of throwing, etc. Now, it simply redirects to "Throwing." Why is this so? It makes searching for the other legitimate "Throw" entries harder. Hi again, I see you have reverted my changes, but I don't see any reason to keep the image. In fact, I believe it should be better to have the image removed as:

1. It doesn't relate to any points described in the Wikipedia article 2. It's offensive and would motivate future visitors, such as me at the first time, to stop reading.

I understand your point that Wikipedia is not censored, but leaving the image there serves no purpose at all, instead, it encourages people to leave the article.

I'm not trying to debate or something, but leaving the image there seriously serves no purpose. I'm sorry for what I'm going to say but let me make it clearer, I understand your point that Wikipedia is not censored, but that's not a valid reason to keep the image. For example, it shouldn't be acceptable to put an inappropriate image next to Bill Gates' article, because it would serve no purpose at all, but would in fact encourage visitors to stop reading the article, it would be better however to put templates that actually support the points of the article. With the same logic, there are no points present in the article I'm editing that would be supported with such offensive image. So I ask you to please remove the image as I can find it of no use. Non-breaking space entities

What is the purpose of inserting non-breaking space entities into cartridge designations, i.e. your last edit at Heckler & Koch G3? My Godzilla Edit

The edit I made is accurate to Legendary Picture's announcements and displays at Comic Con. There were zero details given regarding the new licenses they acquired. Mothra, Rodan, and King Ghidorah were confirmed to be acquired by Legendary, but that was as far as the details went. Not a single one of them was either confirmed or denied for the next Godzilla movie.

Saying that they are all confirmed to appear is deliberate disinformation and that is not something I usually want other people to experience.

So if my edit can be reinstated, that'd be great as it's the only true and accurate information regarding the news about the next Godzilla movie by Legendary Pictures. No confirmation about appearances by Mothra, Rodan, or Ghidorah have been confirmed by Legendary at this time, only that they now have the licenses to use them. Why are we talking fiction on a page of fact. Gravity is an unproven force. Yet you include it in a list of proven forces? I think if you are creating a page about fundamental forces you can't include make belief. It has now even been proven that gravity is another version of the strong force. I think you need to update your knowledge with physics! I'm not trying to insult or vandalize. I love science and knowledge. However we need to use more sense when discussing what we know. Not include unproven things in knowledge about fact!

I keep getting messages to say I am doing all sorts of things wrong. All I want to do is update the page for the British School of Lome, Togo. I am not very computer savvy unfortunatley and I am sure I am doing stuff wrong. I noted reference to an alumni which is really so long ago and not necessary to have on this surely? I just wanted to say what was done differently since this was written so long ago.

The problem is that you are adding content that sounds like it's meant to promote the school. For example, calling it "vibrant", and that it's an "easy walk" from the houses. It looks like something that belongs on a sales brochure rather than an encyclopedia. I understand what you say, nevertheless I may feel this criteria is not uniform, let me explain. I'm author of several books i.e. Triple Play: Building the converged network for IP, VoIP and IPTV and a large number of white papers about telecom technologies. With this knoweledge (and a few hours of rewriting) I have contributed to Wikipedia with several articles to serve the readers willing to understand complex topìcs. HOWEVER if you think I try to promote my company (or myself!) rather than offering knowelege and information to the readers, then please proceed to remove ALL the links that I have inserted in Wikipedia pointing to my books and white papers (and the pictures too). Reporting of Abusive IP Socks

Greetings, I would like to bring to attention of sockpuppeting IP abuse on the Russo-Georgian War and on other articles. These IPs are: [From ISP: OJSC Rostelecom in Yaroslavl, Russia]

[From ISP: Neostrada Plus, Gdansk, Pomerania Region, Poland]

For the first 4 IPs, they all participate in edit-warring on the Russ-Georgia War and:

  • Attempt to advance a pro-Russian POV by changing diction, phrasing and removing items critical of Russia eg. deleting the following line and I quote " Russian forces occupy Abkhazia and South Ossetia in violation of the ceasefire. "
  • Have the same editing behavior and conflicts on the same exact content eg. deleting names of the conflict that are negative towards Russia (removing and I quote "Russian invasion of Georgia or Europe's First War of the 21st Century"), Russian-Georgian cyber-warfare, and so on.
  • Using similar edit summaries, similar language eg. "non-neutral", "NPOV", "attempted vandalism" and so on.

It is apparent that within a mere 4 hours, this individual switched from their Russian IPs to a Polish dynamic Neostrada IP, enforce their desired version of the article and continue their edit-war. Now upon checking the edits of these first 4 IPs, the 4th one (denoted as ***) led to the encounter of a whole swath of other IPs, this time all using Pomeranian IPs from ISP Neostrada, and editing on Vietnam-related articles, with similar POV, similar conflicts over their disapproval of certain diction and phrases, and similar language being used.

This is totally unacceptable behavior. Many thanks for your time in reading this, and hopefully there will be a just and effective solution to this problem.
