Orphaned non-free media (Image:Sin music video.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Sin music video.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:17, 9 September 2008 (UTC)

I was wondering if you could help me get the a band page up to a higher quality

The band is The Von Bondies they have done numerous tours. They brought the kills as opening support on both of the kills first US and UK tours. They have 3 records out. One on sympathy for the record industry and one on sire records. they have been a band for over 8 years. And after many attempts at fixing vandelism on their wiki page i am asking for help. I see that you have made a lot of pages into higher quality ratings. i would really appreciate any help. As i am one of their biggest fans. 68.43.143.58 (talk) 09:27, 17 September 2008 (UTC)suzie

Image copyright problem with Image:NIN Starsuckers.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:NIN Starsuckers.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Do you know anyone which has the ChartsPlus magazine cause i really need it since thats the only way to get teh Scottish and Welsh chart positions. --Be Black Hole Sun (talk) 18:54, 27 September 2008 (UTC)

Chinese music industry association

You asked a question in June at the China WikiProject about the Chinese equivalent of the BPI/RIAA. The Register article China's non-stop music machine mentions the Music Copyright Society of China (MCSC) and the China Audio-Video Copyright Association (CAVCA). These would broadly correspond to PRS/ASCAP, but might have the information you want. If you want chart data, the two main charts I know are the Baidu MP3 download chart and the China Music Radio chart. Matt's talk 07:35, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

Nine Inch Nails discography

Hey, the singles table is a mess. Those are not Austrian chart positions for "Hurt" and "The Perfect Drug", Canadian chart positions are actually from Denmark, and the only song that ever charted in Spain was "Survivalism" at number 2. Just giving you a heads up. AcousticSynth (talk) 14:10, 16 November 2008 (UTC)

Hangon tag

Please note that the {{hangon}} tag should only be placed on pages where there is an active speedy deletion tag. Speedy deletion tags look like this and have a red border and red background. Where an image is tagged with a red border and white background deletion warning tag, you should either discuss the matter with the editor who placed the tag or open a discussion on the image talk page. Billy Ray Cyrus discography

Just a couple notes: The missing Canadian chart positions between Nov. 2000 and June 2004 aren't a lack of research but a lack of sources. We don't know if Canada even had a country chart between the closure of RPM and the beginning of the Canadian R&R country charts, so we just leave those blank. This wasn't a hindrance for Diamond Rio discography which is also a featured list. Nor is the lack of directors a hindrance, as these are unknown in several cases (one of Diamond Rio's videos was also missing a director). Finally, the RIAA uses "(foo) × Multi-Platinum" in their database. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Broken clamshellsOtter chirpsHELP) 17:33, 3 January 2009 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion/2009 January 2

I notice that you contributed to IFD debate on 02 Jan 09. You might be aware that the closing admin of most of the images on Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion/2009 January 2 has deliberately gone against the consensus of the IFD discussions for some images! In effect totally ignoring our submissions and deleting the images anyway when consensus was to Keep. This is against the rules of wikipedia and needs addressing. If you feel aggrieved about an image that was unjustly deleted you should raise the issue here Wikipedia:Deletion review andi064 T . C 08:31, 10 January 2009 (UTC)

Generally you shouldn't remove charts until after a consensus has been reached.Smallman12q (talk) 20:11, 29 January 2009 (UTC)
Why is that? Are charts special for some reason? Notability guidelines apply for any content, text, charts, images, etc. Drewcifer (talk) 20:15, 29 January 2009 (UTC)

Congratulations on pushing this through as an FA. Great article about a great album. --Chasingsol(talk) 03:36, 2 February 2009 (UTC)

Can you please clarify on the FLC comments page as to whether all your comments have been resolved as it is unclear what your position is regarding this candidacy and am concerned that it will impact on the final determination. Dan arndt (talk) 01:23, 11 February 2009 (UTC)

Arnold Schwarzenegger filmography

Seeing that you have written three FLs on filmographies with another on the way, I was wondering if you could take a look at Arnold Schwarzenegger filmography. I just started on this last week and wanted to see if you noticed any errors or glaring omissions. I've followed the other filmographies you've worked on as guides, and believe I could take it FL at some point. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. Happy editing! --Nehrams2020 (talk) 09:46, 12 February 2009 (UTC)

Not sure if you missed this message or not, but I've changed the article a bit more. If you want to a look that'd be great, if not no worries. --Nehrams2020 (talk) 21:48, 16 February 2009 (UTC)

I'm thinking of working on List of Slipknot concert tours, and could use your help. For instance, what criteria do you use to include tours? I don't know about NIN, but some tours that Slipknot did were Ozzfest, etc. where they weren't the main event. Should those be included? Gary King (talk) 21:39, 12 February 2009 (UTC)

It seems like the NIN article lists only the tours that they headed. I'll do that for now for Slipknot and see where that takes it. Gary King (talk) 22:11, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
Were there any tours that you decided not to include? I'm asking because Slipknot seems to have done some tours in Canada and Australia but from what I've found so far, they were just called "Canada 2005" and "Australia 2005" tours, so they don't have any official name or anything like some other tours do. Most Slipknot tours did not have articles before so I'm slowly building each one; you can see what I have so far at List of Slipknot concert tours. Gary King (talk) 20:24, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

All of your concerned have been addressed, I believe. Thanks for your input.  GARDEN  22:41, 14 February 2009 (UTC)

YZ flash drive found in metro

I found a usb drive at the metro during a screening of YZ, across from the addison baseball stadium in chicago.

I mentioned this before, but no one seemed to care, or thought that I was talking out my ass.

I really wasnt. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mix Bouda-Lycaon (talkcontribs) 19:35, 16 February 2009 (UTC)

Could YOU add it? People keep deleting my addition. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mix Bouda-Lycaon (talkcontribs) 03:18, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

As much as I tried to, no chicago news group would take it. Though it did end up on the front page of a band's website that was encrypted within a NIN .pdf poster. The band denied involvement. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mix Bouda-Lycaon (talkcontribs) 12:53, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

Press Release 3/20/07

CHICAGO, Illinois. – March 20th – Fashion Bomb would like to address the issue of a flash drive being found at the Chicago listening party for Nine Inch Nail’s Year Zero. Apparently, this flash drive contained a song of theirs and some information pointing to their website. Fashion Bomb did not have anything what so ever to do with this flash drive, nor do we know where it came from. Some of the band members were in attendance at the party, but they were there to hear the new album. We in Fashion Bomb are all fans of Nine Inch Nails and have nothing but respect for Trent Reznor and his excellent work.

Ralph Bakshi filmography

I removed the IMDb link, as it wasn't a major source for the list. I had only added it for easy access to the director's filmography. (Ibaranoff24 (talk) 07:50, 17 February 2009 (UTC))

  • I changed the table for the television section. (Ibaranoff24 (talk) 08:10, 17 February 2009 (UTC))
    • I made some changes to the tables based on your suggestions. (Ibaranoff24 (talk) 04:15, 18 February 2009 (UTC))

I've addressed the issues you have brought up, and the list should be ready for featured status. (Ibaranoff24 (talk) 00:48, 21 February 2009 (UTC))

  • I was sorry to see the Rufus Wainwright discography was denied FL promotion. In NO WAY am I offended or upset with your opposition, nor am I unwilling to edit/improve the article based on suggestions--I was simply sorry to see that no other reviewers jumped in to comment on the sources issue. I am still a bit confused as to improve the article. I was told that each entry needed to have a reference, so that is exactly what I did. If there are too many references listed, which ones should be removed and simply replaced with a General reference of Allmusic? Personally, I like the idea of a specific, targeted reference for each entry, but if that denies me FL status I will certainly do what I need to get improve the list. Since no one else voiced their opinion on the issue, can you specifically let me know what I can do to earn your support when I re-submit the list for FL status? -Another Believer (talk) 02:50, 18 February 2009 (UTC)
I added two General discography references to the bottom of the page, but that only took away the specific references that were citing each album in the tables. That still leaves #115 references. How can I reduce the number of sources, while still referencing each entry, when I cannot find a single site that lists all of his contributions to compilations, soundtracks, etc.? --Another Believer (talk) 17:54, 18 February 2009 (UTC)
Down to 110 references now. Also, the albums table displays 10 columns. --Another Believer (talk) 18:48, 18 February 2009 (UTC)
Down to 79 references. I was able to use this credit list on Allmusic to cite many of the entries. Is this better now? -Another Believer (talk) 20:10, 18 February 2009 (UTC)
I made the changed you requested/suggested. You can view comments on my talk page (where you offered the suggestions) and take a look at the article to view the changes. I hope this satisfied your concerns. If so, I'd like to re-submit my request for FL nomination. -Another Believer (talk) 06:23, 20 February 2009 (UTC)
PS - removing the previously-released songs on soundtracks and compilations lowered the number of references to 59. -Another Believer (talk) 06:29, 20 February 2009 (UTC)
Done. I believe I made all the corrections you suggested. --Another Believer (Talk) 05:36, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
  • I believe I addressed your concerns. Please note that I did have citations in the header at first, but was asked to remove them by another reviewer. I am not sure what to do in a situation where I am told to do 2 different things regarding the same issue. Thanks gain, and please let me know if there is anything else I can do to improve the list or earn your support. --Another Believer (Talk) 21:16, 26 February 2009 (UTC)
I put the citations back. JD554 stated that is okay. I hope all of the changes made satisfy for concerns--let me know if there is anything else that needs to be improved. --Another Believer (Talk) 17:05, 27 February 2009 (UTC)

Arnold Schwarzenegger filmography

I was wondering if you could take another look at the list. I replied to your remaining objections and the information in the lead about the awards/box office was accepted by the other reviewers. Anyway, I'd appreciate if you could take another look. Just to let you know, at Wikimedia Commons I uploaded a new image of Christopher Walken (File:ChristopherWalkenFeb08.jpg) if you wanted to add that to the filmography list. (That's not a bribe or anything, I just like finding free images for articles!) Thanks for your comments already and I appreciate your assistance in helping me in improving the list.
