Feedback on 3.27 sources[edit]

Hi Ellieb281, I had a chance to look at your sources. All of them are quality, academic sources. At this point, you need to make some more solid plans on how you plan to revise the youth activism page, and put in sources accordingly. From the source you have, it is not obvious that they will help you improve the article you are working on. I'm not saying they cannot be used, just that it's not apparent at this point.

For example, the article on the Palestinian Art Wall is one that could be incorporated into a deeper exploration of Global South activism, but as it stands, it feels like a peripheral source. The most promising, most urgent source is not the book review you cite as your first source, but rather the book (Youth Activism: An International Encyclopedia (Vols. 1 and 2); Westport, CT: Greenwood Press, 2006. 759 pp.) that is reviewed. Does our library have online access to this? Also, I encourage you to continue searching for broader, more general sources.

  • 'We Fight to Win', which we're reading for our class, is a good potential reference to draw citations from. Also 'Rebel Girls' is a source to consider.
  • Please make sure your links work for someone not on Drake's campus.
  • My most central suggestion is to figure out what you think is missing or awkward about the youth activism article, then direct your literature search towards improving the things you feel need fixing. The encyclopedia will be a gold mine if you can find it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Prof.Vandegrift (talkcontribs) 03:22, 2 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
