So many have no music, schlock restoration, or are accompanoed by music that doesn't go with the film. Good job on covering African-Americans in film - as well as the films themselves! The older films are particularly important since older films in general tend to not have articles, so films starring and/or created by African-American performers will be even less likely to be present! Curbon7 (talk) 05:25, 25 November 2020 (UTC)

The history shows that you added the links to the other two film articles after you stated that the disambiguation page linked to three articles. It appears that you first made a good-faith error in submitting a disambiguation page that was missing two links, and then initially defended your incomplete disambiguation page, and only later noticed the omission and corrected it. You made a mistake, which we all do, and then tried to blame the reviewers, and then corrected the mistake without acknowledging or apologizing. You wrote: "If I was able to spend less time on these arguments I coukd spend more time exapnding the encyclopedia". You could spend less time on these arguments if you would use greater care in your submissions. It appears in this case that the reviewers were right and you were mistaken in good faith but are the one who is being argumentative. I will review the revised disambiguation page. Robert McClenon (talk) 03:25, 25 November 2020 (UTC)

Wrong. Here's the draft on September 6 link. And it should be noted that the editor who created the article currently at The Broken Violin appropriately named it The Broken Violin (1908 film) because they understood there were several Broken Violin films. FloridaArmy (talk) 06:56, 25 November 2020 (UTC)

Red links

Hi. If/when the draft page is in the article space, then add the links on the relevant pages. WP:WTAF has more info. Thanks. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 10:54, 23 November 2020 (UTC)

Move the submitted draft to mainsapce. Problem solved. FloridaArmy (talk) 11:24, 23 November 2020 (UTC)
Or write it in the article space yourself. Why don't you do that? Your drafts stay drafts for months, and some NEVER get to be articles. Please stop linking to articles that don't exist yet. Your edits are becoming disruptive. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 12:12, 23 November 2020 (UTC)
And you're now edit-warring too. Please stop. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 12:13, 23 November 2020 (UTC)
The article is written. I am not allowed to move it to mainsapce. Please stop being disruptive and edit warring. The policy pages do not support your position. Were2 building an encyclopedia. Common sense, good manners, and collegiality apply. FloridaArmy (talk)

Links to draft articles

Information icon Please do not introduce links in actual articles to draft articles, as you did to Roy Mack (director). Since a draft is not yet ready for the main article space, it is not in shape for ordinary readers, and links from articles should not go to a draft. Such links are contrary to the Manual of Style. These links have been removed. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 11:18, 23 November 2020 (UTC)

I don't make links to draft articles. Submitted dafts on notable subjects should be moved to mainspace promptly. You can help! Links are important, useful to our readers, and encouraged. That's hiw we navigate. See also the manual of style page on linking. FloridaArmy (talk) 11:54, 23 November 2020 (UTC)
Furthermore, from the policy page you linked to in your edit summary: "Do not be afraid to create links to potential articles that do not yet exist (see § Red links)."
We're building an encylopedia. Especially in cases where an article has already been created and needs to be moved to mainspace, delinking is counterproductive and damaging. FloridaArmy (talk) 11:55, 23 November 2020 (UTC)

I've merged the above two sections, which deal with the same or similar problems. A few points:

  • Lugnuts, FloridaArmy has a restriction and is not allowed to create articles (or move drafts to mainspace or turn redirects into articles), and has to create and submit drafts instead.
  • Adding redlinks to articles is allowed, if' there is a reasonable chance that the subject is notable
  • Adding links to drafts in articles is not allowed; FloridaArmy, you did this here, your claim "I don't make links to draft articles" is not correct (it was perhaps simply an error, but Arjajay was right to point it out). Fram (talk) 12:45, 23 November 2020 (UTC)
And yet you continue to keep adding red-links to articles that don't exist, or worse, will never exist. There's no WP:DEADLINE. Get your drafts published and then add the links. The other solution is to appeal your restrictions. Why not give that a try instead of being disruptive? Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 08:19, 25 November 2020 (UTC)
