A tag has been placed on Aksarah Singh requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for violating copyright policy by copying text or images into Wikipedia from another source without verifying permission. You have been previously warned that this is against policy, but have persisted. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may request an unblock by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  MusikAnimal talk 22:28, 4 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Hey MusikAnimal, I understand that this was my second copyright violation and thus warranted the block. I agree that I erred the first time since I am relatively new to Wikipedia and was not aware of the extent of this policy. But I have been careful of this since the first warning. If I remember correctly, there was no direct copy of text and I did reword the lines on the Yudh Send Medal Page from the Indian Navy website. Maybe the rewording was not enough and thus warranted this block again but in my defense at times there is not much rewording to be done when describing a medal or an object. I have been a responsible editor for the last seven months and am very excited to do my bit for the wikipedia community. I have added numerous new pages(Indian Village) and added extensively to existing pages(Indian Politicians) where most of my information is sourced from news articles. I will be extremely careful of this in the future and request you to please unblock me. Also, I feel a 24 hour block was called for because of my mistake but an indefinite block is bit too harsh and might discourage me from being an active participant of the wikipedia community. Thanks. Fly Up (Talk) contribs) 07:42, 5 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Accept reason:

First, the duration was 24 hours, which is procedural for this type of block. To be clear, you have introduced numerous copyright violations since your first warning, but I'm willing to unblock early given you have verbalized your intent to be more careful. I agree you're otherwise doing excellent work, and I don't want to get in the way of that :) The important thing to understand is that there are legal concerns when adding copyright content to Wikipedia, so the block unfortunately became a necessity. For more information, you may wish to review Wikipedia:Copying text from other sources and Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Thanks for your understanding, and if you need help don't hesitate to ask. MusikAnimal talk 02:37, 5 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I have a few more concerns I'd like to bring up. You said you have been editing for the past seven months. Do you have another account that is still active, or were you editing anonymously? It's important to know that in general you should use only one account. If this is a new account and you've abandoned the old one, not to worry, I just want to be clear.
I would also like to express my concerns about your recent requests for additional permissions. Requesting numerous permissions may come off as hat collecting, which is frowned upon. Your account is still very young, too young to be entrusted with additional rights. But that is OK, they are just bells and whistles. Not having them doesn't mean you can't make your mark on the project. Some of our most prolific and well-respected editors have no additional rights at all.
Finally I hope you didn't mind me cleaning up the formatting on your talk page. Centering text does not work well in discussions, since replies are often indented. Feel free to customize it as you wish, so long as the content is clearly legible. Thanks and happy editing! MusikAnimal talk 02:49, 5 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Army Public School, Gorakhpur requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://www.indiastudychannel.com/schools/400-Army-Public-School-Gorakhpur.aspx. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

Decline reason:

You have shown no awareness of why you were blocked, nor given any convincing indication that your editing in future, if you are unblocked, is likely to be any different from what it was before. Most of your editing has been unconstructive, and has wasted considerable amounts of time for other editors who need to clean up after you. Also, the fact that you have created dozens of sockpuppets to evade blocks, continuing to do so up to at least as recently as eight days ago, means that it is highly unlikely that you will be unblocked for a very long time: six months at the very least, and in my opinion in your case it should probably be at least a year. Finally, any unblock requests should be made from your original account unless there are special reasons why that is inappropriate, in which case you need to explain why. Go for at least six months (and, as I said above, I think a year would be better) without sockpuppetry or evading your block and then if you wish to you can post another unblock request. However, if you still show no understanding of the reason for the block, it is virtually certain that any new request will be declined too. You will not be automatically unblocked without your posting another request. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 11:50, 20 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
