Welcome![edit]

Hello, Fraudguru9999, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Prosperident, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may not be retained.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Please note that interviews with the company CEO are primary sources that do not establish that this company meets Wikipedia's special definition of a notable company(written at WP:ORG). What is needed are at least three independent reliable sources that offer significant coverage of the company itself on its own, and are not press releases, routine announcements, staff interviews, or anything like that. You may want to read Your First Article for more information. If you are associated with this company, you will also need to read conflict of interest and paid editing. 331dot (talk) 11:53, 22 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Fraudguru9999. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Prosperident, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the COI guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. 331dot (talk) 12:57, 22 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The above template is meant for article talk pages and should also provide the needed information(see Template:Connected contributor for more information and the entire template). You can use the Template:UserboxCOI for your userpage, or if it's easier you can just make a statement there explaining what your connection is with Prosperident. As you seem to have a COI, you should not make direct edits about Prosperident. Instead, you may make edit requests on existing articles or use Articles for Creation to create new articles. However, there needs to be significant coverage of this company in independent reliable sources that indicate how it meets Wikipedia's definition of a notable company. Staff interviews, the company website, press releases, brief mentions, or basic announcements do not establish notability. If you communicate with us, we might be able to better help you understand what it being looked for. 331dot (talk) 13:19, 22 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Prosperident for deletion[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Prosperident is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Prosperident until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. 331dot (talk) 09:29, 23 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. Any help you can offer as to how to ensure that this article fits the guidelines is appreciated.

The sources that you have offered thus far just name drop the company or it CEO while offering advice on addressing embezzlement in the dentistry field. That might merit additions to the embezzlement article or even a separate, more general article about embezzlement in dentistry, but not an article about your company. What would be needed for your company itself to merit an article is significant coverage of the company itself in independent reliable sources that show how it meets Wikipedia's special definition of a notable company, written at WP:ORG. Staff interviews, press releases, brief mentions, routine announcements, and other primary sources do not establish notability, as they are not independent.
You have mentioned that you have a conflict of interest, but if you are a company employee or otherwise editing for the company, Wikipedia's Terms of Use require you to comply with the paid editing policy(please review for the policy and instructions on how to comply). 331dot (talk) 09:44, 23 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, thanks. The problem I am running into is that our CEO is THE expert on this topic, and whenever the media want information on it, they go right to him and ask their questions. It looks like we are victims of our own success, and I'm not really sure how to overcome it. I tried to keep the substance of the article neutral and factual, and to avoid any "puffery". — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fraudgugu9999 (talkcontribs)

Unless the company itself or the CEO himself is written about in independent reliable sources, neither of them would merit an article here. Not every company or person does; it's just the way it is and you can't do anything to make the company meet the notability criteria, it either does or not based on the sources. As I said, you might be able to contribute some sort of information about embezzlement in dentistry as a general concept, but as that is within the area of your conflict of interest, you would need to make an edit request at Talk:Embezzlement or use WP:AFC to create a draft. My view is not the only one here; feel free to solicit other opinions at the Help Desk and contribute to the deletion discussion. My guess is that you won't be told anything different, but others may disagree with me.
It might help you to understand if you use the new user tutorial(it takes about an hour as I understand it) and read Your First Article. 331dot (talk) 15:33, 23 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I'll probably go the "edit request" route for dental embezzlement.
