Debra Whitman[edit]

Thanks for adding the Debra Whitman information to the Spider-Man article. You're my favorite kind of editor: You're knowledgable about the subjects you're editing, and you have good intentions. I look forward to seeing more from you on Wikipedia. --Chris Griswold 18:34, 21 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Spider-Carnage[edit]

I give you my thanks for adding the Spider-Carnage picture to the Carnage article. Your contributions keep Wikipedia running! Happy editing! 70.58.211.220

Spider-Girl Mutant?[edit]

Oops! I let my desire for cleaner prose get the best of me, there. In the end, my edit did actually muddy the waters as far as definitional clarity goes. Thanks for keeping me honest!--Galliaz 10:19, 17 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No problem ~ of course you were probably right. Silly semantic difference anyway :) -HKMARKS 12:51, 17 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Info on Editing of Anime Distribution[edit]

Cheers for that! I think the problem I have at the moment with edits is that I am using a widescreen laptop, broadening out the pages a little. I fully appreciate your comment and I will try to avoid that mistake in future. Movingimage 10:57, 18 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

BarnSakura[edit]

BarnSakura for excellent edits
I hereby award you the Anime and Manga BarnSakura for your excellent edits to improve Neon Genesis Evangelion while it was the AMCOTW. --TheFarix (Talk) 23:30, 19 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • I noticed you were working on Spider-Man related things, so I decided to post this here instead of the comics project page. In my opinion, the Ultimate version of Spider-Woman should just be merged with Spider-Woman, then just a redirect from Ultimate Spider-Woman that goes to the Spider-Woman page. I wasn't sure how to merge or redirect, so I didn't do it myself. RobJ1981 21:52, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'd hold off on it for a little while. She hasn't actually been named yet in the comics that are out so far. She might end up being called Spider-Girl or something else. Besides, there are a few different Spider-Women (so which one do we merge with?). However it'll probably be clearer in the next couple of issues, so we'll keep an eye on it. (But yeah, once she's named she should be merged -- that's how we're handling things with other Ultimate Marvel characters.) -HKMARKS 22:00, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

!!![edit]

hey, what's up the temp spider-man template?? why did you revert all those changes! (including yours!)??? -- PASSIVE (Talk|E-Mail) 04:15, 22 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oh... I put up the new one as the actual template. No point waiting, I guess. If someone doesn't like it they can change it back. -HKMARKS 04:18, 22 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

UFF[edit]

I deleted all of the info from the upcoming UFF arc because it was almost unreadable in the form it was in. I figured someone could come in (like you did) and word it better. Thank you for that. --Newt ΨΦ 22:15, 22 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. Nothing pleases me quite like distilling a page of nonsense to two sentences :P --HKMARKS 00:40, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Merging[edit]

When you merge articles, please say so in your edit summary, explaining where you merged the content from. The resulting redirects can't be deleted because they preserve the page history, and are necessary for correct author attribution. I have therefore speedily closed your RFD nomination. Happy editing, Kusma (討論) 18:44, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ahh, OK. Sorry about that. - HKMARKS 18:49, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No problem at all. It's a common mistake to make. See also Wikipedia:Merging and moving pages. Kusma (討論) 19:02, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Spider-Man characters[edit]

You never finished listing Category:Spider-Man characters for deletion. --Chris Griswold () 08:54, 29 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know if I did or not. It's been moved to the log: Wikipedia:Categories_for_deletion/Log/2006_August_22#Category:Spider-Man_characters ... and of course I have no idea what to do now. Erm... help? -HKMarks 12:55, 29 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Monkey Joe and Tippy-Toe[edit]

Thanks for caring enough to do the merge. Lord knows I didn't, but I was willing to grant that someone probably did. -Stellmach 13:40, 8 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Comics Cleanup[edit]

You are one of the best editors working on comics-related articles on Wikipedia. I'd like to inite you to join the new WikiProject I've started: WikiProject Comics Cleanup. Similarly to how the WP:CMC collaboration works to elevate articles to Featured Article status, the primary goal of this new project is to coordinate group cleanup efforts on articles, copy editing, condensing, and providing citations where needed. The secondary goal is to remind good editors that there are other good editors who have the same goals.

This will also help prepare articles for Wikipedia 1.0 assessment, a project I am currently working on pulling together for WP:CMC. I'd really appreciate your membership, but I do understand if you find yourself to be too busy to participate. --Chris Griswold () 18:58, 10 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Award[edit]

I award this Comics Star to HelenKMarks for her great efforts on and contributions to comics related articles. Congratulations! —Lesfer (t/c/@) 21:00, 14 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Notice Board[edit]

Thanks for your work on the WP:CMC notice board. I really appreciate it. --Chris Griswold () 03:58, 15 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia:Notability (comedy)[edit]

I've created Wikipedia:Notability (comedy) to help editors in deciding the notability of comedy- and humor-related articles. You are an editor whom I respect and admire. I would appreciate any commentary you may be able to provide to help hammer it into shape. --Chris Griswold () 09:08, 15 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Superhero Star Signs[edit]

You mentioned that you have a personal belief that Peter Parker is Pisces when I said he was Capricorn/Aquarius. I realized then that it was actually far more likely for Peter to be a Pisces than either of the signs I suggested. Do you have any similar beliefs, or is Spidey the only one? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.70.233.241 (talkcontribs)

Ha, not really :) -- I had this cool astrology book when I was first getting into comics about ten years ago, and I tried to figure out Spidey's sign based on his personality. It's totally baseless and more of a joke -- kind of fun, though. HKMarks 18:49, 16 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

{{X-Men}}[edit]

Curious: Why did you remove the line breaks? I am sure you had a good reason. --Chris Griswold () 06:33, 21 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yep, the way they were, the lines broke earlier than they had to on narrow screens, making the box bigger than it had to be. A holdover from my hobby-webmastering back when 480x640 screens were still common and 600x800 was the norm--I always check webpages at multiple sizes (and usually view them in smaller sizes anyway, even though I have a bigger screen, just 'cause I find it easier to read) just to make sure the design works for everyone. On my laptop (in portrait mode) for instance, there's a line break between "Fall of" and "the Mutants" on the old version... and then a few words later there's a break for no reason.
I'm just glad the colour depths aren't such an issue anymore. -HKMarks 00:28, 22 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Gwen Stacy[edit]

Sorry for the misunderstanding; I wasn't referring to you. The user UnDeRsCoRe had tried replacing the current image of Gwen by uploading a new one with the same name to make it go unnoticed(after I had reverted his edits before). Hence my comment. --CyberGhostface 02:36, 23 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Merging minor alien races[edit]

Hi - I spotted your merge note on List of Marvel Comics alien races, so I've started some discussion on that talk page. I've added the four merge proposals to Wikipedia:WikiProject_Comics/Notice_Board too - hope this is ok. I don't agree with all four of them, but I think it's a good conversation to start (if any do stay as individual articles, they need some work...). --Mrph 08:18, 23 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Notice board and {{comicsproj}} on new comic book creations[edit]

Just a reminder: Please be sure, when creating new comics-related content, to list it at the notice board and to add the {{comicsproj}} template. I only ask this because you are a more experienced editor. Thanks. --Chris Griswold () 07:47, 1 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
