Welcome[edit]

Hello, Hpiana, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} and your question on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

We hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on talk and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 16:37, 5 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of talk page comments[edit]

Please do not delete legitimate talk page comments made by others, as you did at Wikipedia:Village pump (technical)/Archive 126#New search tools. Talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. I have restored the comments you deleted.

If you wish to withdraw your own comments, it is acceptable to strike through your comments. To do this, place <del> at the start and </del> at the end of the text to strike out. The text will appear like this. An alternative technique is to collapse your comments.

Don't worry about the page growing too long – old discussions at Wikipedia:Village pump (technical) are automatically moved to an archive after 5 days.

You can read the Talk page guidelines to learn more about participating in discussions. – PartTimeGnome (talk | contribs) 23:53, 5 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

December 2012[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, such as on Wikipedia:Village pump (technical), you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. mabdul 19:50, 7 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
