Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Beatmania IIDX into Beatmania IIDX 9th Style. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was copied, attribution is not required. — Diannaa (talk) 13:24, 5 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I was doing that to give the 9th Style article references, since the Beatmania IIDX article had 'em. I apologize for not doing attribution for that copying thing. Aya Syameimaru 文々。新聞 13:32, 5 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

March 2020[edit]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to Wikipedia:Good articles/mismatches does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → check Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! No, your usage of edit summaries is a pathetic 7.6%. Please read WP:EDSUM and provide rationales for the edits you are making. This is a collaborative project and your behavior hurts that. Chris Troutman (talk) 19:17, 18 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, I'll pratice using edit summaries in my sandbox. Then I'll be summarizing my edits like normal. I'm Aya Syameimaru! I 文々。新聞 19:26, 18 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

GA mismatch cleanup[edit]

Youkoso~! I just wanted to say thank you for cleaning up all those entries at GA/mismatches! I had only just become aware of that page and was thinking of taking an afternoon to go through and clean them all out, but you've already done it! Arigatou gozaimashita— soshite, yoroshiku onegaishimasu! (I don't have a Japanese IME installed at the moment, so I'm using ro–maji.) -Bryan Rutherford (talk) 22:55, 17 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed the list of GA mismatches was large at the time, so I cleaned it up! I'm Aya Syameimaru! I 文々。新聞 22:58, 17 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Monster Truck Madness[edit]

On 3 April 2020, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Monster Truck Madness, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the 1996 racing video game Monster Truck Madness was designed to accurately simulate monster-truck events such as drag tracks and enclosed circuit races? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Monster Truck Madness. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Monster Truck Madness), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

I successfully nominated it for DYK status, at the same time as the GA nomination, and it passed DYKN review (promotion). Now I have a double achievement (promoted to DYK and GA statuses)! «“I'm Aya Syameimaru!”I„文々。新聞“I„userbako”» 06:23, 15 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Joke nominations[edit]

Please don't nominate things as a "joke" as you did here. If you continue to do so, it's disruptive. Jonathunder (talk) 16:53, 15 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

FAC comments[edit]

Hey there. I’ve stumbled across some of your comments related the Sakura Wars FAC. Hounding people to do it. Telling them “you dont care about the Coronavirus” when they say that’s the reason why they haven’t been working on it. Crossing off others comments. It’s all very rude and disrespectful. I need you to scale it back. You should want this yourself, as you’re clearly not doing yourself any favors. (People aren’t speeding up, they’re just getting irritated with you.) Please disengage and just let it happen. And be nice. Thanks. Sergecross73 msg me 15:05, 26 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Since I assume Sergecross73 hasn't looked at the rest of your history, this is just to make it clear that the same warning applies across all of Wikipedia's processes, as you're being equally disruptive at WP:TFAR, WP:FLC, and even ultra-obscure pages like WP:CROWN. Enthusiasm is always appreciated, but someone with over 6000 edits is no longer covered by Please do not bite the newcomers, and we're not going to put up with you continuing to try to see how far you can push the envelope indefinitely. ‑ Iridescent 19:10, 26 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
