November 2020: What are article talk pages for?[edit]

As a new editor of Wikipedia, you may not yet know that every article has a Talk page associated with it, where editors may discuss changes to articles. You access the Talk page via the "talk" tab at the top of the page, between the Wikipedia globe icon and the "edit this page" tab. If you want to make an edit that could possibly be controversial, seek feedback by posting an inquiry on the Talk page. Hopefully, another editor who is watching that page will respond to you there, and you can have a discussion.

As I notice many of your edits get reverted, a preliminary discussion on the article's Talk page may prevent this from happening so often.--Quisqualis (talk) 03:11, 1 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

December 2020[edit]

Information icon Please refrain from making test edits in Wikipedia pages, such as those you made to IPA pulmonic consonant chart with audio, even if you intend to fix them later. Your edits have been reverted. If you would like to experiment again, please use your sandbox. Thank you. Nardog (talk) 03:22, 2 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

okay I just want to add some new sounds to the chart on wikipedia😕!. IPAexpert (talk) 03:31, 2 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
If you want to add new sounds, please discuss first at the talk page of the relevant article. What you have been doing is considered WP:disruptive editing because it forces other volunteer editors to oversee and revert all your edits.--Quisqualis (talk) 05:54, 2 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Taiwan, you may be blocked from editing. intforce (talk) 23:28, 26 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I'm very very very very sorry for being kinda a troll I stopped👁👅👁. IPAexpert (talk) 00:05, 3 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop editing. Wikipedia requires competence, and all your edits are reverted.[edit]

Sorry to say, you seem to mean well, but you do not know what you are doing to this important encyclopedia. When you have done a lot of work, but notice that all of it is being undone by more experienced editors, it is time to STOP. Time to listen to feedback, and, if necesary, to ask intelligent questions. Just because Wikipedia is the encyclopedia that "anyone can edit", doe not make it your playground, nor some kind of online game, nor an encyclopedia that anyone may edit when they are clueless.

I have been going over your earlier edits from before you had your IPAexpert account. Nearly all of those edits from IPUser:24.35.19.84 in Cleveland were promptly reverted; I'm in the process of reverting the remaining edits. I have to ask you, what were you doing in this edit? You changed a link which worked into a broken link, without adequate explanation. That did not make Wikipedia any better. As you have been told, every article has a WP:Talk page. Since you are having a hard time making useful edits, please propose and/or discuss the edits on the article's Talk page rather than making edits to any article. Otherwise, Wikipedia will have to block your access in order to protect the encyclopedia. Please read Competence is required, and note that failure to respond to Talk page messages can constitute disruptive editing. --Quisqualis (talk) 06:42, 2 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
