I don't think so, anyway on Saturday Nov 28, 2015, I was driving around Staten Island from New Jersey. after crossing the Outerbridge, I went around Page Avenue, and I noticed many newly repainted Orion 7NG Hybrid buses in the 44xx numbers series operating on the S74 and S78 has "MTA Bus" on their sides. Then I drove over to Queens to visit some friends and went to Mitchell Gardens to visit more friends, and found at least a dozen or so 200 series New Flyer C40 series buses operating on the Q25 around Linden Place near the Whitestone Shopping Center on Linden Place & Whitestone Expressway freshly repainted and has "MTA New York City Bus" on their sides.

Also I saw some Orion V and RTS buses on the Q50 (formerly Queens Transit QBx1) still with "MTA New York City Bus" on their sides.

So what exactly are they doing, Playing Switcheroo or something ???

My advice is to just leave it at MTA Regional Bus, because switching it back will probably do mare harm than good. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.29.56.34 (talk) 4:32, December 1, 2015‎

I made edits in the article, however I copied the information that was deleted into word. I was going to add other information and return the previous information. I was getting confused with everything being there so that is why I deleted the information in this article. john brown raids — Preceding unsigned comment added by Katiemarie123456789 (talkcontribs) 5:53 December 2, 2015

@Katiemarie123456789: I honestly have no idea. Using an edit summary would reduce the chances, as would simply updating the information without copy and pasting it. I understand the latter might be difficult for you, so just do what you need to do, and do your best. --I dream of horses (My edits) @ 21:52, 2 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

referencing without creating two separate entries for same paper[edit]

Need to unify "ref" referring to the same reference. Do not want system to create two separate entries for the same paper. Combotak (talk) 08:46, 6 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Combotak: You would "name" the reference the first time it appears, like so <ref name="example">Insert details about paper here</ref>. When it appears the second (or third, or fourth, etc.) time, you would do something like <ref name="example" />.
You can read more about references here. --I dream of horses (My edits) @ 08:51, 6 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello IDOH, from Portugal,

there is nothing wrong with I did in that article to merit reversion, OK? I: 1 - removed an unreferenced chart per cite guidelines, and added template to the external link to make its display "neater". Where was the error in that?

Attentively, have a nice week --84.90.219.128 (talk) 02:25, 7 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I did so because I didn't fully understand the edit summary. My apologies. Your re-revert was the correct thing to do. --I dream of horses (My edits) @ 02:30, 7 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
No worries, I also apologize if my summary upon reverting seemed a tad too much (I also erroneously thought it was also you that had reverted me last week in another article, but it was not the case, no sir, I just checked my talk's edit history), I definitely should get an(OTHER) account to avoid such confusions. I have been here for nine years (since 22 October), and used to have an account, but asked that it was vanished a year ago after a serious run-in with a troll, I had the intention of leaving forever, but guess I cannot, I'm wiki-hooked :( --84.90.219.128 (talk) 02:33, 7 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov[edit]

I tried to put in an infobox about Korsakov, but before I did in editing, I saw a sign up there about the Project Composers Biographical Infoboxes.

I don't know if I'm allowed to put in an infobox about him.

Would it be all right if I did?

Thanks for your Welcome, but ...[edit]

A year or so ago I got very enthusiastic about adding quotes to the Wiktionary but got lambasted off under two different sign-ons. So I switched to the Distributed Proofreading group (pgdp.net) and spend most of my spare waking hours there. It's great, and I use Wikipedia a lot to find out more about the people and events I read in my proofing. Occasionally, when I see a spelling error or some other minor glitch I fix it. For the time being that's all I feel up to doing. Wnholmes (talk) 11:28, 19 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Fair Use of Images, Deletion Administrator & c.[edit]

--LBrandonKrall (talk) 01:44, 28 December 2015 (UTC) here... I will need to take some time to study the issues of fair use of images on Wikipedia but if a copyrighted image is available to use on a profile page how does one demonstrate that? Cactus Man is adamant about deleting a perfectly usable image on the Mike Bidlo page... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_Bidlo it happens not to be the one I was seeking copyright permission to use at an earlier date, although he quotes me as saying I was getting the permission which I can from the publisher of the catalog by email I believe. The catalog where it is published is referenced as the source of the image...All of this I have stated on the deletions page... Please advise...[reply]

Thank you for inviting me to work for Wikipedia; I do have other subjects of interest and profiles that I may work on... However, this is not professional or the only activity that demands my time; I do not have so much time to give to the pursuit. I am sure I can improve my work on Wikipedia the pages and will turn attention to the citations issues when I can...

Two Questions-Issues: How does one initiate a Wikipedia page? Also, this is called Brykill Farm, not plural https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brykill_Farms ... Thank you for your consideration_+*

@LBrandonKrall: The reason Cactus.man is insisting on deleting the image probably relates to the fact that the fair use policy is very strict about when a fair use image can be used. In fact, the only time I've personally seen a fully copyrighted image be used on an article about a living person is Genie (feral child), an article about somebody who, through obviously very unusual circumstances, is not available to be photographed, drawn, or otherwise pictorially depicted. Even Kim Jung-un uses a drawing in place of a copyrighted image.
Usually, when somebody comes up and asks me how to write a Wikipedia article, I advise them to go through articles for creation. You could write an article directly, but that's not really advised at your level of experience.
I went ahead and moved the Brykill Farm page. Even the article itself claimed it was Brykill Farm. --I dream of horses (My talk page) (My edits) @ 02:14, 28 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Required number of inline references in a biographical article[edit]

The article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Odd_Einar_Haugen is criticised for having too few inline citations. It now has six inline references - is that sufficient? ̈ Laustik (talk) 10:13, 28 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Odd_Einar_Haugen — Preceding unsigned comment added by Laustik (talkcontribs) 10:07, 28 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Laustik: Well, it isn't just the number of citations that counts. Six is a good number, but you have it all bunched up in one paragraph. I'd try to find other places to cite.
You can read about inline citations here and here. --I dream of horses (My talk page) (My edits) @ 01:32, 29 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Why place punctuation marks between references?[edit]

I have an article on "data-constrained modelling". I have noticed that you or someone else have put the punctuations marks "," and "." between references. I have corrected it many times. However, after a while, it is changed again. I thought this is incorrect. How can I prevent people from changing the position of the punctuation marks? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Yangys au (talkcontribs) 11:41, December 31, 2015‎

@Yangys au: Punctuation goes before references. I think it's a manual of style issue. Maybe change it so it's clear to bots and people using scripts that the punctuation is, in fact, going before a reference. --I dream of horses (My talk page) (My edits) @ 22:25, 31 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
