Your recent block warning
Before messaging a constructive user and creator of specialized content (see, for example some recent diffs to Guercino) with a threat of being "blocked from editing" I believe you need at least to take a closer look at the edits you have been reverting en masse (examples, [1] [2]).
FYI, even though I did write much of the closely sourced content of the Mambo Italiano (song) page (as Special:Contributions/31.50.193.233), the (quite plausible though unsourced) Lady Gaga content was actually first added (and not reverted) several years ago (in 2014), and then expanded in a different section by a long-term contributor, Special:Contributions/Nelatti (@User:Nelatti). When I came back to the page yesterday, one of several distinct editorial contributions I made was to combine the existing Lady Gaga content and tweak the wording in what seemed to me to be an appropriate way.
Since this content still requires reliable sourcing I was actually identifying/adding in potential RS at the time you issued your gratuitous warning.
I believe that for the sake of Wikipedia you would do well to review your recent assumptions and actions in some detail. 109.145.91.130 (talk) 13:03, 18 February 2019 (UTC)
- IP user your block was issued for adding unsourced content to "Americano". What you did to the Mambo Italiano article also falls within WP:OR and unsourced content because you did not actually find source and then add it along with the content, but rather proceeded to push it more down in the article. Wikipedia works pretty easily → find reliable source → add content (includes any rearrangement) → add reference. —IB [ Poke ] 13:09, 18 February 2019 (UTC)
- Sigh... The only edit I have ever made to "Americano" was this one, in which (per the edit summary) I merely added a wikilink to a page where "Americano" is mentioned, in the belief that it might be of assistance to regular editors of the page, such as yourself, to help improve the content. Per the relevant guidelines (WP:See also), there is absolutely no requirement to source a 'See also' link. Therefore, I believe that your statement above "IP user your block was issued for adding unsourced content to "Americano"" is both spurious and unconstructive.
- If you read my message above, you will find that I did NOT add any unsourced content to Mambo Italiano (song) either. Yesterday, I merely moved/reduced some unsourced but wholly plausible (see [3] [4]) content that appeared to have been added in good faith to an article that had already mentioned "Americano" for several years. I am unaware of a positive duty to source plausible content when merely tidying it up, and I believe your accusation of "What you did to the Mambo Italiano article also falls within WP:OR..." is also false and somewhat disrespectful.
- Since you appear to be a committed young Wikipedian – something I really applaud! - I do think it would be helpful for you to check your facts before making unfounded accustions of this sort that can discourage constructive editing by others (including IP users, who as a category are known to make a relevant contribution to Wikipedia). 109.145.91.130 (talk) 14:43, 18 February 2019 (UTC)

A Star is Born (Soundtrack)
Hello,
I was just wondering why my edit on the soundtrack's certification from Portugal was deleted. If its due to the reference coming from the label's facebook page and not their official, or due to other reason. If it's because of the first reason, I understand why you deleted the edit. But on the other hand, there is not any other page from Universal that reports album sales from Portugal. This is the only official page that provides this kind of information.

And the article does NOT need its own infobox as it was never a commercial release. I know Madonna releases much better and own copies of the remix CD. Please take care when updating the certified sales figures. In this edit you should have added only 35,000 units to the Australia's total, instead you've added 350,000 units. Component charts on Katy Perry articles
Hi. So after the revert on 365 (song), I noticed your edits on Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.) and The One That Got Away (Katy Perry song) where you removed component charts. Indeed, some of the charts you removed (particularly the Latin airplay ones) are redundant when the other charts listed are present per WP:USCHARTS. I just wanted to clarify that while technically all of the US charts listed besides the Hot 100 are components of different metrics or another, the Bubbling Under R&B/Hip-Hop chart and Dance Singles Sales are not components of any of the others listed. While their relevancy is questionable (and I mean, we could probably raise that question about some of the others listed too), it would only be if the main R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart was listed that the Bubbling Under R&B/Hip-Hop really shouldn't be. As for the Dance Singles Sales chart, it measured physical singles sales while it was still active, which is a different metric from the Dance Club Play and Dance/Mix Show Airplay charts listed. - Hi Ss112, thanks for the message. I think the Dance Singles Sales was still being used to calculation of the Hot 100, that was my reasoning for it being a component. This time he changed her sales from 75 million records to 140 million records plus 60 million albums, using Forbes and Billboard as a source.
