Request reason:

Caught by a colocation web host block but this host or IP is not a web host. My IP address is 183.81.8.163. I just moved apartment and somehow my IP was identified as a "web host provider". Well I'm not an IT guy of any sort and if I get blocked with the wifi I'm using, I wouldn't be able to contribute further as, well, this is my wifi for quite some time now. I've granted you IP block exemption for a year. That should fix this. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆𝄐𝄇 18:16, 1 April 2023 (UTC)

Ponyo my userpage was updated a while ago (Oregon was nice). Now I’m in Ho Chi Minh for a job. Well this is getting personal as I don’t like exposing my IP and location like this… But in case you want to check my geolocation then yes I’m in an apartment in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. No VPN used. The Eras Tour

Taylor Swift said she'd announce international dates as part of The Eras Tour, so it'd be wise to find relevant sources until she reveals which overseas countries will be included. Besides, she never limits her tours to the United States. 96.227.141.216 (talk) 02:00, 21 May 2023 (UTC)

Request for peer review help

Hello again! I hope you are doing well, and congratulations on your recent FAs. I was wondering if you could possibly help with my current peer review? I completely understand if you do not have the time or interest. I just wanted to reach out to you since you are experienced with music articles, and my peer review is on an R&B ballad so your perspective would be beneficial if possible. Have a great rest of your weekend! Aoba47 (talk) 01:25, 28 May 2023 (UTC)

Hi Aoba47, appreciate you reaching out :) I was about to chime in the PR but from what I see the article is already in great shape and the comments at the PR are sufficient imo. Therefore I'd be happy to jump in the FAC in the future as I believe my input at the PR might be insubstantial. Cheers, Ippantekina (talk) 04:17, 29 May 2023 (UTC)

Writing in All Caps

I undid your revision at Anti because of what it says at MOS:ALLCAPS, and I quote: "Avoid writing with all caps (all capital letters), including small caps (all caps at a reduced size), when they have only a stylistic function. Reduce them to title case, sentence case, or normal case, as appropriate. The title of the album appearing in all capitals followed by a note saying '(stylized in all caps)' is the literal definition of this. Stylisation is not an important note at all. It's superfluous and usually never know if its the word being deliberately written in capitals or if its the font style as some are rendered in capitals therefore we have no idea if its a stylisation or just the type face of the font (two different things). E.g. Arial font is not capitalised by default, but if I choose, I could type a word in Arial in capitals. That's two different things. Plus its logic and natural conclusion that if we're not physically going to write the title in all caps, there's absolutely no need to write a note that its stylised in capitals. >> Lil-unique1 (talk) — 17:41, 20 July 2023 (UTC)

@Lil-unique1: sorry but I had to undo your edit... "Avoid writing with all caps" means we do not write it as ANTI and has nothing to do with the note about its stylization. The note remains because the album's title is all cap on streaming platforms/physical pressings. Ippantekina (talk) 01:00, 21 July 2023 (UTC)
That has no relevance. The whole point of the guidance is that "stylisation" is not important - its not relevant. It's superfluous. All that's happened is it Anti was written in sentence case, and maybe someone else or maybe yourself added the note to get around the MOS. The manual of style isn't optional. You and I both know that the note about stylisation is a weasel to get around the MOS rules on stylisation and capitals. >> Lil-unique1 (talk) — 19:40, 21 July 2023 (UTC)
@Lil-unique1: You better improve your reading comprehension. I'm done talking. Ippantekina (talk) 03:23, 22 July 2023 (UTC)

Just a quick note about civility

Just because you have changed your username from HD doesn't mean you get a free pass to behave like an inexperienced editor. Slamdunking a rude and uncivil comment like this and then archive the conversation is petty. Of course I'd see the notification and be curious as to what I was pinged. I've never had any run-ins with you previously (to the best of my knowledge) so I'm caught of guard by your curtness. You should absolutely know better to criticise the edits not the editor. If you want to be petty, I have a honours degree from a well-recognised UK university, there's no issue with my comprehension. I'm clear what is of encyclopaedic value and importance that's all. If you disagree that's fine we can discuss it and ask others for an opinion but there's no need for the childish and uncivil comment like the one you made.

Happy to draw a line under that now we've both said our bit - there's an on-going discussion on the talkpage and evidently if you want to contribute you are more than welcome to. I hope our interactions are more civil and productive going forward. >> Lil-unique1 (talk) — 18:57, 25 July 2023 (UTC)

Hi, I wonder why you deleted my updates in the Taylor Swift discography pages, since I only uploaded Italian charts' data Seemone01 (talk) 14:36, 22 August 2023 (UTC)

@Seemone01: Hello, the existing charts for Taylor Swift discographies already amount 10, which is the recommended number of charts for discography lists. You can read more at WP:DISCOGSTYLE, which says: "In the case of multiple charts, "comprehensive" does not necessarily mean an exhaustive list of countries and charts the artist has charted on. A limit of approximately 10 separate charts is suggested, using any combination of country, component, or competing charts." Ippantekina (talk) 15:06, 22 August 2023 (UTC)

Album subtitle is unnecessary

There’s no reason to include the edition of the album on songs, especially if the song appears on different versions. Why is having it the notes not enough? Does it have to be mentioned multiple times in the infobox that the song is on a certain edition. For example, both Bigger Than the Whole Sky and Would’ve, Could’ve, Should’ve both in the note state the song is included on the 3am edition and other editions of the same album. I don’t get why people think it needs to be included twice. 147.147.63.15 (talk) 16:26, 8 December 2023 (UTC)

How is it unnecessary? And why a note is better? Ippantekina (talk) 18:38, 8 December 2023 (UTC)
Have you ever heard of redundant? Apparently not. Why does the same information be in the infobox twice? You’re not making any legitimate argument to include the subtitle of an album in the infobox. You’re claim about Ours (song) was wrong because it doesn’t matter if it was released as a single from the Speak Now album or not, it appears only on the Target exclusive and wide retail deluxe edition of the album and yet the infobox does not included the name (Target Exclusive) in it. Also it’s inconsistent. I’m not gonna point out any other pages that do the same thing because you’ll just go vandalize them and put the subtitles in instead of having consistency. 92.1.70.84 (talk) 20:53, 9 December 2023 (UTC)

Please stop your vandalism

I have made an admin aware of your vandalism on two GA pages where you keep changing and adding unnecessary information and removing what made the article a GA based solely on your opinion. Please stop your vandalism. Thank you. 174.198.0.195 (talk) 13:45, 18 December 2023 (UTC)

Okay, so I finally remembered how to promote GAs. Congratulations on the promotion of the aforementioned article; I have seen a notice that said something about bots possibly being malfunctional today, so this may delay the GA process. Nonetheless, thank you kindly for your patience and hard work on this article. Hail Taylor. Unlimitedlead (talk) 12:55, 3 April 2023 (UTC)

I have nominated Love Story (Taylor Swift song) to be today's featured article on Sep 15. As the article's FAC nominator, you are invited to click here and give your comments on the nomination and prepared blurb. Thanks and happy editing. Z1720 (talk) 17:39, 9 July 2023 (UTC)

Due to a discussion at WP:ERRORS regarding another article, I've had to bring on your article 11 hours early. It will run the full day on the 15th. Wehwalt (talk) 13:34, 14 September 2023 (UTC)

TFA

Just to let you know that Wehwalt had to bump up the TFA appearance of Love Story (Taylor Swift song) per an issue with the previous TFA; see WP:ERRORS. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 13:24, 14 September 2023 (UTC)

Thank you for the article, introduced: "'Baby just say yes.' Arguably one of the most enduring love songs of the 21st century, "Love Story" was Taylor Swift's first single to crack the Hot 100 top 5, and its resurgence on TikTok in 2021 attested to its timelessness." --Gerda Arendt (talk) 18:43, 14 September 2023 (UTC)

Congratulations, Ippantekina! The article you nominated, Welcome to New York (song), has been promoted to featured status, recognizing it as one of the best articles on Wikipedia. The nomination discussion has been archived.
This is a rare accomplishment and you should be proud. If you would like, you may nominate it to appear on the Main page as Today's featured article. Keep up the great work! Cheers, FrB.TG (talk) via FACBot (talk) 00:06, 7 November 2023 (UTC)

Hi! Looks like you have nominated two Taylor Swift articles for GA in only one day; not surprising for an editor like you but it's still remarkable. I am planning for nominating "Say Don't Go" for GA as well, but it doesn't have the credits for the song yet and I don't have access to Tidal or the album's booklet. I was wondering if you can add credits to it since you have done it for the album's other tracks? Thanks in advance!! Gained (talk) 10:07, 20 November 2023 (UTC)

@Gained: Hi, thanks for the message. I have added the credits to "Say Don't Go"; best of luck with your GAN! Great work with other successful GAs thus far as well :) Ippantekina (talk) 10:38, 20 November 2023 (UTC)

Question

In the article Dawn FM, an editor who goes by the name DovahDuck added content, but it looks opinionated in some cases [1] [2] [3]. Can it be considered a violation of WP:UNDUE? TheAmazingPeanuts (talk) 03:52, 11 December 2023 (UTC)

@TheAmazingPeanuts: From a quick look they do seem to constitute UNDUE as the added prose falls into rather trivial detail that stray away from the summary style. You can have a discussion with the user DovahDuck regarding this matter. Cheers! Ippantekina (talk) 02:27, 21 December 2023 (UTC)
Yeah, I figured that would be the case. Thank you for replying to me. TheAmazingPeanuts (talk) 04:18, 21 December 2023 (UTC)

Triple Crown

Never in my wildest dreams did I think I'd ever award an Imperial Napoleonic Triple Crown to someone for 15 articles related to Taylor Swift. Congratulations Ippantekina; I can't remember the last time I saw such dedication. Damien Linnane (talk) 14:17, 10 March 2023 (UTC)

Sorry about the puns; I couldn't help myself =D. Technically Out of the Woods didn't quite qualify as authorship is slightly under 25%, though considering the magnitude of your contributions I was more than happy to make an exception. Damien Linnane (talk) 14:17, 10 March 2023 (UTC)

Thanks Damien Linnane :) The word puns kinda remind me of US senators quoting Taylor Swift lyrics. All jokes aside let's see if I can make it to the Alexander the Great Triple Crown lulz. Cheers, Ippantekina (talk) 03:31, 13 March 2023 (UTC)

Stylization of album titles

Hello, I've recently had a discussion with an user regarding whether or not to include the stylization of album titles on top of the articles, such as in Folklore (Taylor Swift album), Evermore (Taylor Swift album), Reputation (album), Thank U, Next, etc. I argued that we should include those on the articles of albums with such stylization, adding that it should be included on articles for Fruitcake (Sabrina Carpenter EP) and Emails I Can't Send as well. They started a discussion on the Fruitcake talk page, arguing that the stylization is trivial and shouldn't be included on any article whatsoever. I was wondering if you could give your input on the matter on said talk page. Thanks in advance. – Artmanha (talk) 21:27, 3 January 2024 (UTC)

Hello @Ippantekina. Would you like to take a look at the recent discussion for track listing template? I know you are focusing Taylor Swift albums articles. If you have time, your comments are always appreciated. 2402:1980:84CD:6DBB:0:0:0:1 (talk) 08:19, 18 January 2024 (UTC)
