Speedy deletion contested: Discharger[edit]

Olympics stubs[edit]

Hi, there is currently a discussion about what to do with some of these stubs at Wikipedia:Village_pump_(proposals)#RfC_on_draftifying_a_subset_of_mass-created_Olympian_microstubs. I think generally the feeling is that these articles clear the A7 bar. I think redirecting them to the article on the relevant Olympic Games may be best, but there is also the option to draftify them. -- Pawnkingthree (talk) 16:49, 7 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Pawnkingthree Hello! Im not sure what you mean by "these articles clear the bar" But,i assume you mean they do not meet the criteria.I dont think it clears the bar,as there is barley more then 4 sentences,and the boxer only competed in one event,and lost.I dont think its very notable.I might be wrong,and if i am please correct me. Hi, you nominated it for speedy deletion under WP:A7. An article does not have to meet the notability standard to be ineligible for speedy deletion under A7, it merely has to assert a credible claim of significance. That's what I mean by "clearing the bar" - it's deliberately a very low bar. The other problems that you mention with the article are not speedy deletion criteria either. You can nominate it for deletion at WP:AFD or redirect it, but it's not a speedy deletion candidate. Thanks, Pawnkingthree (talk) 18:39, 7 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
