Welcome![edit]

Hi, ਜਗਮੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਰਾੜ, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Please remember to sign your messages on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}} before the question.

However, there is a small issue with your username. As it is in a non-Latin alphabet script it may not display correctly for many other users. Although usernames like yours are not prohibited, Wikipedia's signature guideline and username policy encourage you, as a courtesy to other users, to alter your signature so that it also includes a transliteration of your username using Latin characters, so others can see it correctly. Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:Raj Kakra, a page you created, has not been edited in 5 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 01:32, 2 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Raj Kakra[edit]

Hello, Jagmit Singh Brar. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Raj Kakra".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 02:02, 2 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Varieties of English[edit]

Hi, thanks for your efforts to improve Wikipedia. However, we do not normally change the language variant used in articles without very good reason. The article is tagged as being in British English and there's no reason to change it. Chiswick Chap (talk) 13:28, 14 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Protected cultivation requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://fr.upajj.com/upajj/pau_pdf/best_practices/protected_cultivation.pdf. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. –dlthewave 04:05, 11 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, do edit your page, Raj Kakra. Just dropped by to let you know that Facebook and IMDB are not notable references, and neither is the economictimes.com link - you need to add links that cover the person substantially. Csgir (talk) 13:38, 15 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Raj Kakra[edit]

Thanks for creating Raj Kakra.

A New Page Patroller Rosguill just tagged the page as having some issues to fix, and wrote this note for you:

While the article has enough citations to reliable sources to establish notability and be included in the encyclopedia, it currently includes many citations to unreliable sources. Facebook, IMDb, YouTube, and Wikipedia itself are not considered reliable sources and should not be cited. There's also a few blogs, self-published sources, and database entries that should be replaced with citations to more reliable sources if possible.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can reply over here and ping me. Or, for broader editing help, you can talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Hello Jagmit Singh Brar. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, such as the edit you made to Sapan Manchanda, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat SEO.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists, and if it does not, from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Jagmit Singh Brar. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Jagmit Singh Brar|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Daiyusha (talk) 18:49, 28 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

-- Thanks for the concern. I wanna confirm that I am not at all employed for any of the wiki activity. I am not getting any type of compensation directly or indirectly for any of my edits on Wikipedia. This is totally a volunteer work, done with my interest and hobby. I completely understand the wiki voice and understand the terms and wiki policies. I understand there may be some untrusted references in the article. I'll work on that. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Roshan Prince, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Producer (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Malkeet Rauni requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

Ballu Saluja moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Ballu Saluja, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three, to be safe. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.Onel5969 TT me 10:34, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your contributions to Anil Sharma (Asst. Director at PAU). Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Thilsebatti (talk) 04:08, 18 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I have sent you a note about a page you started[edit]

please add a ref for the population from the official indian census site

@Jagmit Singh Brar: adding a link to PCA indicators page isn't too useful, as it involves a lot of searching. Can you add a link to the relevant district census handbook instead? They can be found at https://censusindia.gov.in/census.website/data/handbooks. -MPGuy2824 (talk) 02:36, 19 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
