Proposed deletion of Baseball openers

The article Baseball openers has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This isn't an article about baseball openers, it's an observation about a change in the way relief pitchers are used in a way that relates to baseball openers. I'm not even sure, after reading this, what a baseball opener is--the first game of the season, or a player who's on the field at the beginning of the game. Also, the article is largely incomprehensible.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist.
