Brigida Banti[edit]

Hi Jgdc47B, the list of performances in the article Brigida Banti explicitly only includes the roles "created" by the primadonna. The role of Alceste you have added was not created by her and, IMHO, should therefore be removed. Cheers.--Jeanambr (talk) 07:50, 23 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jeanambr, I'm perfectly happy to remove the Aleceste addition, but I have to say that it isn't immediately obvious to me that that "Roles created -- The following is a list of significant performances of Banti’s career" means "explicitly only includes the roles created by the primadonna". I had added the London performances because there were more of them that your list suggests, and so they were added in the context of "significant performances". If you intend that the list only refers to 'created' roles I would suggest that you strengthen your definition a bit, to that it is more obvious what you mean to a passing reader like me. Kind regards, John. Jgdc47B (talk) 14:58, 23 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You are perfectly right. Both choices are viable: we can either strengthen the beginning description or modify the title of the section and add further performances not referred to premieres. The former choice appears to be probably easier, the latter is a bit more problematical as a criterion for choosing the 'significant' roles should also be possibly given. Since you are a native English speaker, I wonder if you would settle the matter in either way. Cheers.--Jeanambr (talk) 15:43, 23 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I have modified the article myself. Could you be so kind as to take a look at my English. Thanks.--Jeanambr (talk) 20:01, 23 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry that I didn't have time to reply to your earlier note. What you have written looks fine, and your intent is much clearer. Thanks for doing that. I have another busy day tomorrow, so it could be a while before I undo the changes I made. If you would prefer to do it yourself please go ahead. Jgdc47B (talk) 20:16, 23 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
No change of yours is to be undone. I think there are no further problems. Cheers.--Jeanambr (talk) 10:21, 24 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on User:Jgdc47B/sandbox4 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
