In response to your feedback[edit]

Inline references (see WP:ILC) support the text of an article and give source information proving the article is not 'Original Research' (see WP:OR). There is a "Cite" toolbar at the top of the edit window which allows you to automatically generate the required wiki code.

You click one of the templates, e.g. "book", and fill in the details.

More information can be found in Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or the citations tutorial (the below video will play best in Firefox or Chrome):

Hope this helps, Regards,

Examples of inline referencing[edit]

I have added some text and references to Storey pole as an example of how it works. Regards, Ariconte (talk) 04:56, 2 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jgradoc, and thank you for your feedback. It won't take as long as you think - the learning curve is steep, but you should be able to edit competently after only learning a few basics. Take a look at the tutorial to get a grasp of the fundamentals (it may be worth bookmarking the cheatsheet as well). If you need help leave a message on my talkpage or visit the helpdesk. Happy editing!
