Next steps[edit]
I don't think there is enough content for it be a stand alone article so I think we should do a redirect link for the name and look for another article to make this article a subsection. What do you think? --Tomswainson (talk) 13:11, 7 March 2013 (UTC)

- Hi, Joey, do you need help with something? I think what Tom is saying is that he thinks there isn't enough content to have an article all for itself. That maybe a redirect should be put up instead. The redirect would point to a section in an existing article, where you would put your intended topic information. --Geniac (talk) 02:07, 8 March 2013 (UTC)
- Okay, I think I understand the concept. So we basically find another article relevant to the woman we are reseaching, and add our section to that article instead? If so that would help a lot in terms of marks for engagement -- JoeyFox91 (talk) 16:39, 8 March 2013 (UTC)

- From past experience in my other assessment, notability is mainly applied to new articles and their deletion, adding to another article is less strict but the content must be verifiable Frank --Tomswainson (talk) 18:29, 8 March 2013 (UTC)
- If she is a separate page then fair enough (I think there’s enough literature to be honest) but if we decide a link back is the plan, then http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Athabasca_University#Distance_education is where I think the information and link needs to go. Releasing an article to the public[edit]
It's okay to be confused about Wikipedia; it can often be a confusing place. It sounds like you're concerned about the notability of Evelyn Ellerman. A person is presumed to be notable if he or she has been the subject of multiple published secondary sources which are reliable, intellectually independent of each other, and independent of the subject.
Currently, it is hard to tell how she meets Wikipedia's notability criteria. See Wikipedia:Notability (academics), which says, "Having published does not, in itself, make an academic notable, no matter how many publications there are. Notability depends on the impact the work has had on the field of study." What impact has she had? Has she won any prestigious awards? Is she the head of any scholarly society?
I thought your engagement marks would be covered by "Interacting with other Wikipedians", which all of you have definitely done.
