Thanks (on Hamza Robertson)!

Hey! Many thanks for the spelling correction! Your a GOOD WIKIPEDIAN, and there isn't many of them around. EddyJawed 22:02, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

Heighth!

thanks for your spelling correction to Samuel Pepys, but I'm afraid I have reverted it. Pepys really did spell it "heighth". He had terrible spelling, but it is a quotation so needs to be verbatim from the original. Thanks Thruston 22:02, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

Great work!

Just dropped by to say Thank You for your spelling correction work. utcursch | talk 17:20, 4 July 2006 (UTC)

I'll second utcursch. You seem to be spending many hours on a largely unnoticed task. Are you doing it all manually, or is there a program you use to catch errors? -Phoenixrod 18:45, 8 July 2006 (UTC)

I'm going to third this. I've spent forever on the 2007 in NASCAR article, and I still miss the little stuff like that. Thanks so much! DiegoTehMexican 21:13, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

I don't have any program. Most of the time, I scan the Recent Changes for an article I might be interested in reading. Either I see an error or see something that could easily be misspelled or mistyped. A wikisearch or a Google search later and away I go! --JustAGal 16:27, 10 July 2006 (UTC)

Portmanteaus and others

Thanks for busting up "center field(er)" and "home plate" into two words each, but http://www.m-w.com has "groundout" as the noun (tho I'd still use "ground out" or of course "grounded out" for the verb).--BillFlis 19:32, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

Season

Regarding your edits to the Office Gossip page. As this was a British programme the term 'series' is used not 'season', which is an American term. Can you please make sure you check the page before changing words like this. Thank you. --Berks105 09:14, 6 September 2006 (UTC)

For you

You already have one for your work on spellings, but I just have to give you another one.

Could I interest you in using Firefox 2 for editing? The inline spell checker allows for easier spotting of typographical errors. This is not a criticism, rather support for your considerable effort. --darklilac 21:12, 12 October 2006 (UTC)

Wellington High School

I would like to create a disambig page at Wellington High School. As it stands now this points to an article about a school in New Zealand. My problem is that there is already a Wellington High School (New Zealand) page that redirects to Wellington High School. What do I do? --JustAGal 17:28, 19 October 2006 (UTC)

Hi, what other links do you want at the Wellington High School article? You can reply here. Meanwhile I will go and create the disambig page -- Lost(talk) 17:31, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
So far I have come up with the following:
  • Wellington High School in New Zealand
  • Wellington High School in Wellington, FL
  • Wellington High School in Wellington, KS
  • Wellington High School in Wellington, OH
  • Wellington High School in Wellington, TX
  • Wellington-Napoleon High School in Wellington, MO
  • Wellington C. Mepham High School in Bellmore, NY

--JustAGal 17:36, 19 October 2006 (UTC)

School edits

Thanks for all of your work on Shawnee High School, among the many other school edits that you have done that have overlapped with my little corner of the world in New Jersey. It's always easy to assume that a school is named uniquely, but that is so often not the case. Not only did you rename the article, but I greatly appreciate the followthrough in correcting all of the references in other article to the new name. Thanks for all your hard work; It's a pleasure to see other people who have put so much time and effort in improving Wikipedia and it's school articles. Alansohn 20:59, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

Again, thanks for your work on Mount Olive High School and making all of the moves needed for the New Jersey school. Please let me know if we can work more closely together on school articles, particularly as related to New Jersey's high schools, where I have made a major dent in creating the required articles. Thanks for your edits on Knob Noster High School, if i have any questions i will come to you as to how to do something.Knobbie10 14:39, 23 May 2007 (UTC)

Riverview High School

I would like to make a school disambig page at Riverview High School. Currently, it has info about the high school in Sarasota, Florida. However, this school already has an article at Riverview High School (Sarasota, Florida). I don't want to confuse, lose or otherwise do any harm to either article. How should I proceed?--JustAGal 19:15, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

The Riverview High School (Sarasota, Florida) article seems to be almost exclusively about the drum corps. I'd merge the content of Riverview High School into Riverview High School (Sarasota, Florida) manually, and then change Riverview High School to a dab page, Alansohn 19:48, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

Agreed. As you've now been helped, I'm removing the helpme tag. EVula // talk // // 20:22, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

Invitation to new WikiProject

Sorry to disturb, but am wishing to take a moment of your time for something I hope will be of interest. I'd like to invite you to join a new WikiProject I've started, WikiProject National Register of Historic Places. Should you be so inclined, please feel free to join. And spread the word to any other interested parties.  :)

I'm sending this invite b/c you've already been helping our project (without even meaning to!) by disambiguating schools on the various Registered Historic Places lists. So you might as well make it official, huh? Either way, thanks and keep up the good work.  :) -Ebyabe 13:19, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

Hey, I was wondering why you moved the Richland High article. It's a bad idea to have parenthenses in the name of any article unless they're needed for disambiguation, but there don't seem to be any other Richland High's. Are you about to make a disambiguation page with some names, or did I miss something? Matt Yeager (Talk?) 22:13, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

Yes, I am making a disambiguation page. I simply ran out of time yesterday. I should be able to get it finished today. --JustAGal 13:53, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

Brandon High School dab page

Hi. Regarding the new Brandon High School disambiguation page you created, are you going to make some of those red links blue soon? There's generally no point in having a disambiguation page with only one blue link on it (see WP:CSD#G6). Thanks. —Wknight94 (talk) 14:36, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

Hi, I noticed your recent edit to Hasbrouck Heights High School and others, adding Category:High schools in New Jersey. This is not necessary, as the schools are already in Category:High schools in Bergen County, New Jersey, which is already underneath Category:High schools in New Jersey. --ChrisRuvolo (t) 04:38, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

Bishop Lynch High School

Hi there, I've removed the category you added to the Bishop Lynch High School article. The category Category:Private high schools in Dallas, Texas is now within Category:High schools in Texas.. which makes the article redundantly sorted if it is placed in both. AfD nomination of Lin-wood High School

An editor has nominated Lin-wood High School, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not"). Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Lin-wood High School and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. Those two articles on April uncategorized

Hi. I noticed you were wondering what was happening with the two articles on the April uncategorized page where their categories didn't show up. Hi, thank you for spotting that this page was copyvio and I have now deleted it. Many new editors are not familiar with copyvio issues and it is helpful to place ~~~~ (that can be found towards the bottom of the speedy template) on their talk page. Sugar-Salem High School

I have added a "prod" template to the article Sugar-Salem High School, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the dated prod notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. 67.161.251.165 05:11, 18 May 2007 (UTC)

Chicago Landmark Stubification

I am writing you because you either (1) edited Chicago Landmark 5 weeks ago when it was the WP:CHICOTW (2) edited it or created a stub last week when we had the stubification drive for it or (3) you nominated an article to be the CHICOTW in the last few days.

I have finally had a chance to take a tally on last week’s stubification effort. Based on my manual count we now have 109 bluelinks on a total of 241 landmarks. Preliminary indications were that for our article to be successful at WP:FLC we would need to eventually rename it (something like List of Chicago Landmarks) and get the majority of the landmarks linked. Based on my cursory count we need to write 12 more articles to get to a majority. It would be great if you might be able to assist by creating a couple stubs to assist in this effort. Here are some of the stubs that were created during last week’s efforts: Black Metropolis-Bronzeville District, Historic Michigan Boulevard District, Arthur H. Compton House & One North LaSalle. Among the articles still redlinked are 2 buildings on this week’s CHICOTW, Magnificent Mile (Perkins, Fellows & Hamilton Office and Studio, Woman's Athletic Club). Recall that each redlink on Chicago Landmark has a footnote to a reference that gives you enough info to create a stub. If you create a new stub please add it to Wikipedia:WikiProject_Chicago#Newly_Created_Chicago_Related_Pages so that we can keep track of the progress. More help needed

If you have been following along at WP:FLC#List_of_Chicago_Landmarks you know we need help creating stubs for the List to make it a more useful list and help it achieve WP:FLC status. Since I reminded people of this 7 stubs have been created. We need about 40 more to be safe although we may have a successful candidacy with the article as it stands.

Some of you may also be following the success of WP:CHICOTW at Wikipedia:WikiProject Chicago/COTW/Good Articles. For the last 4 weeks no one has been very active. Thus, I am fearful that Historic Michigan Boulevard District, Harold Washington Cultural Center, Crown Fountain, & Art Institute of Chicago Building will all fail at WP:GAC when their turns come up. Also, Magnificent Mile did not experience the collaborative spirit. Our reputation as a successful collaboration is at stake. In addition to making stubs for the FLC we need your contribution to our collaborations. I am sorry to pull you away from whatever other wikipleasures you may be experiencing, but we need your help. Speedy deletion of Ilio volante

A tag has been placed on Ilio volante, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia per CSD a7.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add hangon on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add hangon on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. B1atv 08:11, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

All Your Football work

I don't know if its the same case for you, but when I go to my watchlist, your name is on like 70 % of the stuff. Just wanted to say good work on all the NFL player pages. Jwalte04 19:17, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

  • Thanks! I'm just doing what I can.--JustAGal 19:22, 25 October 2007 (UTC)
On this same topic, I wanted to let you know that your capitalization of both words in the links for football positions, like Defensive tackle, Defensive end and Tight end are creating re-directs. They are not proper nouns, so only the first word is capitalized.
Also, is there any reason you're italicizing present in NFL infoboxes? Most of them have not been done this way and I'd like to keep them all standardized.►Chris NelsonHolla! 13:30, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
Regarding the capitalization: I guess I hadn't thought about the redirect part. I just thought it looked better. No problem, I'll stop. And regarding the italicizing, I know I saw a directions on some template or project page but I'll be darned if I can find it now. Oh well. I'll stop that too. Category sorting

Firstly, let me applaud your efforts on biographical articles. One quick point, though: please read Wikipedia:Categorization of people#Ordering names in a category. It's not obvious, but names with apostrophes and non-iniital capital letters actually have to be mis-spelt to have them sort correctly in categories or DEFAULTSORTs. Thus, "Denis O'Hare" should be sorted as "Ohare, Denis", not "O'Hare, Denis", and "DeBerg" should be sorted as "Deberg", because apostrophes and capitals come before the other letters in the computer character order that Wikipedia uses, but English language sorting ignores apostrophes and is case insensitive. You can think of this as a work-around for a computer bug, which it actually is. Studerby (talk) 22:09, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

Hi JustAGal, I hope you're not offended, but I reverted the edit you made to the article. You were right in removing the category, and I removed it after the revert. However the other two changes were incorrect. Per WP:FLAGS, flags shouldn't be used in infoboxes when discussing place of birth. Also, the article reads "...transferring to Georgia." so adding the "the" made it read as "...transferring to the Georgia." Understandable mistake, as you probably misread while editing and thought that it read "...transferring to University of Georgia." which would have necessitated the additional word. Feel free to contact me on my talk page if you have any questions or anything. :) Cheers, faithless (speak) 21:44, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

I have added a "NPOV" tag to the Richard W. Fisher article which you have previously edited due in part to potentially controversial edits to the article by an anonymous user. I have initiated a discussion on the article's Talk page, and your thoughts on how best to resolve this matter would be appreciated. --TommyBoy (talk) 00:22, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

Bill Anoatubby

I noticed you switched Bill Anoatubby from Category:People from Oklahoma to Category:People from Johnston County, Oklahoma, which as you can see, is currently red-linked, and Bill Anoatubby is the only article in the category. Were you planning on creating a new category? --TommyBoy (talk) 23:27, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for fixing that red link and creating the new category. --TommyBoy (talk) 14:57, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

What's the point of having pages like this? Shouldn't this "lowercase" page just be deleted, rather than redirected? Seems to me like a waste of space, when Wikipedia would automatically redirect on it's own if this page did not exist. Greetings. Please explain why you unlinked Jim Johnson here? You left no edit summary. Do you have any connection to the production of the program? --Thomprod (talk) 10:59, 24 April 2009 (UTC)

  • Sorry about the lack of edit summary, oversight on my part. I unlinked Jim Johnson because is leads to a disambiguation page and it was unclear if any of the listed persons were involved with the program.--JustAGal (talk) 13:28, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
Your edit was appropriate. None of the people listed at Jim Johnson were involved in the program. I was the program's editor when it was originally produced at WXYZ-TV in Detroit. Jim does not seem to have a Wikipedia article about himself. Prior to working on Learn to Read, he was a DJ at WRIF radio in the 1980s as part of "JJ & The Morning Crew" (Jim Johnson & George Baier). During production of "LTR", he was also a feature reporter for WXYZ's magazine show Good Afternoon Detroit. Cheers! --Thomprod (talk) 12:21, 25 April 2009 (UTC)

Needing help with Jimmy Johnson link

I've moved this help request to your user page - it's better to deal with helpme on your own talk page, for various reasons - one being, it'll alert you to new messages.  Chzz  ►  18:15, 24 April 2009 (UTC)

helpme I'm trying to change the link in the Porkchop Bowl section so instead of pointing toJimmy Johnson in points to Jimmy Johnson (American football coach) I've checked out the infobox (Template:NFL single game infobox). I must be missing something.--JustAGal (talk) 19:16, 23 April 2009 (UTC)

Hmm. Just checked that, and you've done nothing wrong - the template code is wrong; it doesn't handle Jimmy Johnson.
I'll fix it soon as I get chance - might be tomorrow tho. Cheers,  Chzz  ►  19:30, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
Just a quick note to let you know I haven't forgotten; I've just been mad-busy with other things. I asked a friend to have a look, and they couldn't solve it...so I will try to make time to do it myself ASAP. Cheers,  Chzz  ►  18:10, 24 April 2009 (UTC)

(unindented)

The short answer is, I've fixed it.

The longer one is; That template automatically placed   around the home and away coach names; this is a non-standard practice, for exactly the problem you came across. The template is not well written. I removed the 'auto-link', and then manually edited all the articles using the template, changing e.g.;

|visitor coach=Fred

|home coach=Bob

to;

|visitor coach=Fred

|home coach=Bob

The template code needs a lot more work; to behave itself, it should also do a check to see if the home/away coaches have actually been specified at all; also, lots of the other fields similarly 'auto-link' - however, I didn't have the time to fix all of this at the moment. Fortunately, there is no deadline.

I've documented what I did in Template talk:NFL single game infobox#removing 'auto link' for coaches.

Cheers, and again, sorry it took me a little time to finish this one off.  Chzz  ►  17:06, 26 April 2009 (UTC)

    • Thanks for all your help!--JustAGal (talk) 13:42, 27 April 2009 (UTC)

Reviewer

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

For the guideline on reviewing, see Wikipedia:Reviewing. Being granted reviewer rights doesn't change how you can edit articles even with pending changes. The general help page on pending changes can be found here, and the general policy for the trial can be found here.

Need help with Primitive (song)

This link leads to the Cyndi Lauper song. I attempted to move it to Primitive (Cyndi Lauper song) but the page already exists as a redirect back to Primitive (song). Primitive (song) should point to the disamibguation page Primitive as there are several songs listed already. --JustAGal (talk) 17:56, 18 November 2010 (UTC)

There's actually only one existing article with the song name "Primitive" listed at Primitive. So I think the redirect is appropriate as it is now. However, if you still think the redirect should be changed, it can't be done my non-administrators because Primitive (Cyndi Lauper song) has a history which would be erased by the move. You'll have to post a request at Wikipedia:Requested moves so an administrator can move the redirect. Please let me know if there are any more questions. Thanks! --Mysdaao talk 19:06, 18 November 2010 (UTC)

Bonus list expansion

You probably aren't aware of this, but you've fixed the most bonus links this month; 1446 for you, R'n'B second with 1021, I'm a distant third with 783.

As the most experienced with the list, I wanted to ask your opinion. I can't decide whether to include 2-link dabs in the bonus list in January, or do one more month with only 1-link dabs. The DAB Challenge takes 5-9 minutes to update these days; adding 2-link dabs would probably increase that to 7-12 minutes, roughly.

Do you think there's enough fixable one-link dabs to go another month? Would the longer update time be annoying?

Thanks, --JaGatalk 22:01, 28 December 2010 (UTC)

  • I really think that there are plenty of one-link dabs to go for another month. I've been scanning through the "easy" ones and I'm just finishing the "M"s. --JustAGal (talk) 22:17, 28 December 2010 (UTC)

Changing links

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion, guidelines for use at WP:MINOR). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and all users will still be able to manually mark their edits as being minor in the usual way.

For well-established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 20:13, 15 March 2011 (UTC)

Hi, I thought I'd point you to Wikipedia:Disambiguation pages with links/Disambiguation pages that link to disambiguation pages because you seem to like fixing the DAB Bonus List pages, and there is a great deal of overlap between these and the disambig links appearing on disambig pages. Also, these links are often very easy to fix because it will immediately be obvious if all they need is to be linked through the "Foo (disambiguation)" redirect. Cheers! bd2412 T 17:30, 1 April 2011 (UTC)

Bonus list expansion?

Heya, I'm on the fence again - not sure whether I should expand the bonus list to include 3-link dabs as of May 1, or June 1. On the one hand, I want to steadily move toward that day (in 2013? 14?) when all dablinks as of the beginning of a month are in the contest. On the other hand, I know when I add the 3-link dabs, 2- and 1-link dabs will get less attention. What do you think? Thanks, --JaGatalk 17:53, 18 April 2011 (UTC)

Cheers! bd2412 T 18:34, 23 May 2011 (UTC)

  • By the way, I should mention that the reason your name came up was that the disambig links on those pages constitute a fair chunk of the bonus list - in fact, as you can see from JaGa's regularly generated list of pages having the most bonus links, the math maintenance lists top that report and collectively count for scores of those links and hundreds of disambig links over all. Some of the math project people have proposed that we teach disambiguators to ignore the lists. I pointed out that while it would be easy to convey this information to our top disambiguators (yourself included), there would be no way to inform all editors that disambig fixes to these lists would be overwritten by a maintenance bot. Dab-to-dab bonus list links

Hi! I see that you like fixing bonus list links. I may have mentioned before that I am particularly interested in fixing disambiguation links occuring on disambiguation pages. JaGa has made a handy list of disambigs with bonus list links - these are, for the most part, very easy links to fix, because they are intentional, and need only have (disambiguation) appended to them. I would be most grateful if you would turn your firepower on these links, if it suits you. Cheers! bd2412 T 21:04, 2 June 2011 (UTC)

Like you did recently with M-151 (Michigan highway), there is an easier way to disambiguate the location. Just add |ctdab= with the county name. You don't need to use |location_special= with the piped link that way. Just FYI, Imzadi 1979  19:09, 6 July 2011 (UTC)

I have put together a survey for female editors of Wikipedia (and related projects) in order to explore, in greater detail, women's experiences and roles within the Wikimedia movement. It'd be wonderful if you could participate!

It's an independent survey, done by me, as a fellow volunteer Wikimedian. It is not being done on behalf of the Wikimedia Foundation. I hope you'll participate!

Just click this link to participate in this survey, via Google!

Any questions or concerns, feel free to email me or stop by my user talk page. Also, feel free to share this any other female Wikimedians you may know. It is in English, but any language Wikimedia participants are encouraged to participate. I appreciate your contributions - to the survey and to Wikipedia! Thank you! Thanks for correction

Thanks for clearing up the ambiguous link on the Embassy page. I'd forgotten all about the British Pretty Polly Stakes. Of course if I hadn't been so lazy and just checked it myself I'd have saved you the bother. Tigerboy1966 (talk) 21:03, 11 October 2011 (UTC)

New Page Patrol survey

New page patrol – Survey Invitation

Hello JustAGal/Archive 1! The WMF is currently developing new tools to make new page patrolling much easier. Whether you have patrolled many pages or only a few, we now need to know about your experience. The survey takes only 6 minutes, and the information you provide will not be shared with third parties other than to assist us in analyzing the results of the survey; the WMF will not use the information to identify you.

  • If this invitation also appears on other accounts you may have, please complete the survey once only.
  • If this has been sent to you in error and you have never patrolled new pages, please ignore it.

Please click HERE to take part.
Many thanks in advance for providing this essential feedback.

You are receiving this invitation because you have patrolled new pages. For more information, please see NPP Survey

Signpost report on the disambiguation project

I got this today, thought you would be interested. Cheers! bd2412 T 23:28, 9 November 2011 (UTC)

The WikiProject Report would like to focus on WikiProject Disambiguation for a Signpost article. This is an excellent opportunity to draw attention to your efforts and attract new members to the project. Would you be willing to participate in an interview? If so, here are the questions for the interview. Just add your response below each question and feel free to skip any questions that you don't feel comfortable answering. Multiple editors will have an opportunity to respond to the interview questions. If you know anyone else who would like to participate in the interview, please share this with them. Have a great day. -Mabeenot

Germantown

Thanks for pointing out the problem with the disambiguation links in the Germantown order of battle article. An eager but somewhat careless individual introduced those recently. I have changed the ones that could be fixed. I removed the links that were either pointing to the wrong person or pointing to a disambiguation page that did not include the person. Thanks...

I have just spotted the splendid batch of amendments you've made to the article (of which I am the principal perpetrator). I feel quite embarrassed at leaving so many ambiguous links, and am most grateful to you for putting them to rights. Tim riley (talk) 17:31, 15 December 2011 (UTC)

Hi. I saw that you did some work here today. If you think an AfD is warranted for this unreferenced and orphaned article, I would support it. All the best! -- Ssilvers (talk) 00:15, 21 December 2011 (UTC)

Southbridge, London

Hey JustAGal and happy new year, thanks for DABing mine. That is a struggle with that one but I will get it shipshape (at J. B. Morton).

Southbridge London I don't know how to disambiguate, as you can imagine a lot of things as south of a bridge and are therefore called, but I know London very well and can perhaps help to DAB that, given a little more context (e.g. the article in which it is used).

My sincere best wishes for you and all yours for the New Year. Si Trew (talk) 16:36, 25 January 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for your disambigs and corrections here today. Happy editing! -- Ssilvers (talk) 00:01, 10 February 2012 (UTC)

Hatnote at Cathy Jones

Hi,

You've altered the hatnote at Cathy Jones to point to Catherine Jones (disambiguation) a couple of times. The disambiguation qualifier link is just a redirect to Catherine Jones which is the actual disambiguation page. Please don't change it back again. Regards. -- Whpq (talk) 16:12, 21 February 2012 (UTC)

  • Actually, this is part of the project Wikipedia:Disambiguation pages with links. Quoting the first paragraph: "Where an article intentionally links to a disambiguation page, that link should be through a "Foo (disambiguation)" redirect, to make it clear that the link is intentional." --JustAGal (talk) 16:17, 21 February 2012 (UTC)
    • My apologies, and thanks to the pointer. I had been looking at WP:HATNOTE and it doesn't mention this as the preferred way to code the hatnote. Regards. -- Whpq (talk) 17:17, 21 February 2012 (UTC)
