Welcome![edit]

Hi, KPlenge19, and Welcome to Wikipedia!

Welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you enjoy the encyclopedia and want to stay. Before getting too in-depth, you may want to read the simplified ruleset. If you need help, feel free to use any of Wikipedia's hundreds of resources. I personally recommend the Wikipedia:Boot Camp, where in addition to standard posts, you can use an IRC to chat online with fellow Wikipedians willing to help! In addition, Wikipedia also has pages dedicated to the use of Wikipedia, for example, if you need help on how to title new articles check out the naming conventions, and for help on formatting pages visit the manual of style. Feel free to post questions on my talk page - I'm happy to help you with anything you need.

May 2007[edit]

Welcome, and thank you for experimenting with the page S.P.E.C.T.R.E. on Wikipedia. Your test worked, and it has been reverted or removed. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. —C.Fred (talk) 00:39, 31 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re this addition at S.P.E.C.T.R.E.:

thank you for making this soft redirect. I named my dog in honor of my joy for Bond vilans. I am a new user and would like to have this entry with the soft direct at the top

You have a user page, User:KPlenge19, available for things like this about yourself. Article subjects must be notable to be discussed in Wikipedia. Nothing about your dog demonstrates that it is notable; accordingly, it should not be mentioned in the article.

User pages are not subject to the same restrictions; you may mention your dog there. (For that matter, I mention mine on my user page.) —C.Fred (talk) 00:46, 31 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

At this point let me also mention the Three-revert rule. Wikipedia policy considers an editor reverting--changing a page back after changed by another user--a page three times within 24 hours to be vandalism. It is an offence for which you can be temporarily blocked from editing. You have now reverted three times, so further changes to the article may result in you being blocked. —C.Fred (talk) 00:54, 31 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

why is documenting even a minor thing not allowed
Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information. The "minor thing" you mention is not a suitable subject for the Wikipedia per its guidelines. —C.Fred (talk) 01:03, 31 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image tagging for Image:Spectre.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Spectre.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
