Peer Review[edit]
Overall, the article “Women in the Czech Republic” has a really good start! I like the current sections, and there seems to be a lot of neutral and informative content. There are good statistics from a wide variety of sources, including some peer-reviewed articles. There are some broken links as well as outdated sources, so I would be sure to check those before publishing, especially for information that was posted by other users. The introduction section is good but contains some repetitive and unnecessary information (see my comments in the peer review doc). I also think the “Education” section can have a bit more information, and some additional sections related to Women’s Rights, Income Gap/Occupations, and Role in Government would be useful. The current image also seems a bit irrelevant, so adding photos that relate more to the sections would also be something to consider. Otherwise, the grammar and sentence structure throughout the article are very concise and well-written. The article has a great start but is still in progress, but once more sections are added I would definitely consider it well-developed! Vivianzheng1 (talk) 06:19, 8 December 2021 (UTC)
The article “Women in the Czech Republic” has a start. The current article uses strong sources and is very concise and fluid. The article gives facts without bias and is well organized. The article is visually appealing as well. But the article could some major improvement. First, expanding the article. Much information could be included on the history of Czech women and its culture, feminist movements within Czech/Czechoslovakia and important Czech women. Also included Czech women’s contributions to society and their culture would help fill up the article. While doing this, be sure to include picture to keep the article visually appealing. Also, consider updating the CIA “the world factbook” links because they do not lead to a working page. Another way to generate ideas for the article could looking other countries “Women in….” articles and using them are templates to do research and include data. Overall, the article seems very underdeveloped due to the very little content and short sections. But there is much to add the start can serve a solid base. Lmf9 (talk) 07:26, 8 December 2021 (UTC)
Peer Review[edit]
Because the sandbox currently does not have any edits to the original article, the following peer review will be about the original article “Women in the Czech Republic.” The article has a good base with the organized sections for the various fields of information. Each section is written in a pretty unbiased manner, albeit that the majority of the sections consists mainly of statistics. Although the statistics are informative and useful, they could be better integrated into the article, as they currently read like a list of facts (especially in the reproductive rights and family life section). The article could use some more sections that expand on more aspects of Czech women such as the history of their role in society. The article could also use a section that acknowledges the difference between the typical Czech woman and any minority women living in the Czech Republic, as this can affect the majority of the statistics currently provided. The current sections can also be expanded further beyond just statistics. The article does not look messy but could use additional pictures to enhance the information as more sections are added.
