Richard Dawkins read to be a feature article?

It seems like Richard Dawkins has been languishing for years as a good article. The dead external links are now given archiveurl's so maybe you or some other appropriate user can nominate it for featured article. See Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Richard Dawkins/archive3 for the previous aborted attempt from five years ago.--— Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.65.109.103 (talkcontribs) 00:11, 25 January 2016 (UTC)

I had a quick look and it needs some work before a nomination. The reference area needs some work to bring it up to FA standard, such as names of newspapers need to be in italics should be done by moving the |publisher= to |work= field of the reference. Dates are in various formats –day first, month first & ISO–need to be all in day first format, which is appropriate for the article. Keith D (talk) 09:15, 25 January 2016 (UTC)

Keith;

Sorry to bother you - Hull Paragon railway station has a template call duplicate argument noted against it. I have now resolved this, but unlike other problems (such as citations, missing co-ord's etc) there is no obvious section to remove which will stop it appearing in next week's clean up list (well, none that I can see anyway.) Can you help? Thanks. The joy of all things (talk) 22:39, 28 January 2016 (UTC)

I have done some ref tidying. The problem of duplicate arguments was the second entry in ref 52 which had 2 |date= parameters in it. The ref was also a dead link so I have found an archive version of this.
If you do a preview of the article then it tells you at the top which argument is the duplicate one and the template that is causing the problem. If there are a lot of instances of the template in the article then a preview of each section will narrow it down. There is a script available that helps with fixing these but I have not used it. See User:Frietjes/findargdups. Keith D (talk) 19:08, 30 January 2016 (UTC)

Hi Keith, I know that page this is Scotland oriented, (not Yorkshire!) but could you check that all refs are OK on this page. Leave all quotes in. Thanks if you can do this. Mike

Career stats dates

Hi, I'm just wondering: why do you remove the "match played" text from career stats tables? We're encouraged to include them per community consensus, as enshrined at Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Players#Career statistics. Thanks, Mattythewhite (talk) 21:39, 6 February 2016 (UTC)

Because I use the date of update rather than the match played date as I do not always update the stats after a match and keep the infobox and match stats the same. Makes it easier then having to work out who in the team played when especially when updating for several matches at a time. Keith D (talk) 21:42, 6 February 2016 (UTC)
But surely you can easily glean the match date from the source you're using to update the stats...? Mattythewhite (talk) 21:47, 6 February 2016 (UTC)
Not so easy when doing multiple match updates, for example over Christmas, I usually just keep a note of the number of matches played by each player and then update when I am back. I do not go back to source for the update just the record I have made. Keith D (talk) 21:54, 6 February 2016 (UTC)

Shipley and Windhill Line

Keith;

just seen your amendment to the Eccleshill railway station and making the name Shipley and Windhill line into Line. I agree it should be capitalised, but I saw this edit https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Queensbury_lines&oldid=615795925 and I assumed (probably erroneously) that there was some obscure WP that said we shouldn't. So the page has gone live as Shipley and Windhill line without the capitalisation. Which way should I go? Help.....! Thanks. The joy of all things (talk) 20:34, 9 February 2016 (UTC)

I moved the page to capitalise the article, as Shipley and Windhill Line, before changing the links in the articles so all should be OK. The one you found, Queensbury lines, is probably lower case as it covers more than one line. Keith D (talk) 20:39, 9 February 2016 (UTC)

Roger that - thank you for the correction - I just wanted it known that I am not a biff and I know it should be capitalised. However, the Queensbury Lines is the local, regularly used and accepted name for the three lines that used to converge on Queensbury. Note how the page is not capitalised on title but the first sentence in the lede uses Queensbury Lines....... Thanks again. The joy of all things (talk) 20:48, 9 February 2016 (UTC)

Hi Keith If you are not too busy, could you please do a "general" check of these 3 pages above. Always appreciated. Thanks58.108.249.112 (talk)

If you are able, please do a check up of refs 10 and 3 on Albert's page. I have added much needed citations on the above page. Please leave all quotes in. Thanks as always. Also, another Yorkshireman, Henry Lascelles, 4th Earl of Harewood: please check the refs. are OK on his page too if you can. Srbernadette (talk) 01:16, 15 February 2016 (UTC)

df

this edit was necessary because of your edit. seems like the script needs to be fixed to avoid adding df=yes when it already exists? or, just make sure to "use preview" before saving, which would show you the errors? Frietjes (talk) 13:28, 20 February 2016 (UTC)

Having seen the edit you made I have already reported a problem with the script here. Keith D (talk) 13:31, 20 February 2016 (UTC)

Thanks for your assistance on this article. As a matter of pure interest only, have you set foot in said premises ?

A barnstar for you!

Thanks for your help! I couldn't for the life of me figure out what I was doing wrong. I don't do a lot of edits (really, only when I end up reading something on wikipedia that I notice as being incorrect or wrongly formatted, or that I learn about something noteworthy and is worthy of inclusion), so you just saved me a bunch of time.

Much appreciated!

A beer for you!

Thanks for catching the Google Plus thing with Death-Scort Service‎. I'll miss that annoying tag on occasion, along with some of the various errors that come with citations in Visual Editor. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 12:16, 23 February 2016 (UTC)

You left a message on Useddenim's talk page regarding a broken rail route diagram. It looks like it's due to a bad edit on {{BS-map/map}}, which has been undone. Bazza (talk) 17:41, 26 February 2016 (UTC)

Please explain this

Why did you make this [67] revert without comment at ANI? I have reverted you. If you have a problem with my edit discuss it with me. Thank you. JbhTalk 20:39, 12 March 2016 (UTC)

I am sorry and can only apologise about that, I do not even remember making that reversion. It could be when I was having problems with input and I should have been reverting something else on my watchlist. Keith D (talk) 21:29, 12 March 2016 (UTC)
OK. Thanks, I certianly understand clicking the wrong button, we all do that every now and then. Have a good weekend! JbhTalk 21:33, 12 March 2016 (UTC)
