2014 season summary tracks[edit]

Hello again, Keith. I really like how you tirelessly make all the storm tracks since 1790's (I think), but the 2014 season summary tracks is kind of wrong. The track of Mitag in the picture is an old version rather than the new one from User:Cyclonebiskit. Also, what happened to Hagibis? I do not know if you are already fixing this up but this is just a note. Thanks. Typhoon2013 (talk) 11:18, 11 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again. Thank you for updating the summary map of 2014. But just a note that the track of Mitag is not right. See: Mitag 2014 track.png and you will know what I mean :). Have a nice day updating Tropical Storm Rammasun, hehe. Typhoon2013 (talk) 08:21, 13 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

July 2014[edit]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to 2014 Pacific hurricane season may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:

Swimming at the 2012 Summer Paralympics – Men's 100 metre freestyle S9[edit]

Hi! The heat tables in Swimming at the 2012 Summer Paralympics – Men's 100 metre freestyle S9 are wrong because they contain the results of the S8 event. Could you please correct them? Thanks, Einstein2 (talk) 10:14, 14 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Track map of Canada Hurricanes[edit]

Hello there Keith Edkins, I was just wondering if you'd be interested in making a map of all hurricanes that are listed on the page List of Canada Hurricanes? This would give a visual representation of all the tropical cyclones that affected Canada. "Nova Scotia's biggest train person" (talk) 16:03, 8 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

TY Phanfone[edit]

Archiving in Webcitation[edit]

Hello again, I tried so many times to archive Prognostic Reasoning Bulletins 44 to 45 and JMA's Advisories for Vongfong, when i go to the archive page, it said that the page that was trying to archive had an error or was not found. I thought that webcitation "was not working", but when i tried to archive the JTWC TC Warning for TS 02C (Ana) (as a test), the update was successfully. What could be happening? Greetings! -- Byralaal - (talk!) 01:28, 17 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for warning me. When you are in inactivity or when i have time i'll help you archiving TC advisories in Webcite.-- Byralaal - (talk!) 23:42, 23 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. You uploaded some maps long time ago and some of them were deleted because there were no source (see User_talk:Keith_Edkins/archive5#File_source_problem_with_File:Scot1975AnnEsk.png = 8 files). Could you confirm that you made the maps your self? The map mentioned above was copied to no-wiki and I hope we can keep it. --MGA73 (talk) 21:21, 17 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the reply on my talk page. I have restored the file and copied it Commons along with the other 7 files mentioned above:
I hope it is correct now. If not you are very welcome to fix the problems on Commons.
I do not know if Commons:Category:Maps of Scottish districts 1975 is complete now. If not just tell me which files to restore and I'll restore and copy to Commons. --MGA73 (talk) 10:05, 18 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

To be completed...[edit]

Hello Keith. Thank you for making the 2014 PTS track map updated. Although as it says in the title: To be completed, I want you to put the rest of 14W (Karding)'s track. You should look at the track first and see the difference in the 2014 track map. Do you know what I mean? Meow actually created the Karding track, but I wanted the 2014 PTS to be accurate. Forgot to mention also change Nakri's track as well, converting it to JMA's track as it says in the Nakri track. Thanks. Typhoon2013 (talk) 07:38, 25 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

2013-14 SPAC[edit]

Can you archive the full TCFA from October 21, 2013 @ 11z and the STWA @ 22/10 12z and add it to Tropical Depression 02F when you get a chance please. Also i hope you dont mind but since the tropical low monitored by Perth this week was in the SWIO, i have banished the TWO's to the SWIO talk page rather than the AUS talk page. Regards.Jason Rees (talk) 19:49, 26 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I was wondering, but...[edit]

...can you/do you archive JTWC graphics? They complement the prognostic reasoning and the warnings, so it would be nice if I could look back at past graphics, as they aren't always saved and uploaded by Wikipedia editors. If you can reply, thanks! Dustin (talk) 02:50, 28 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Webcite failed[edit]

Hello again, i was retrieving some citations to update the information of Typhoon Hagupit in Spanish Wikipedia, but Webcite failed, again, to archive JTWC TC Advisories and Prognostic Reasoning, from 14 to 18. JMA TC Advisories were affected too, from 2014-12-04, 0900z to 05, 0600z. Can you fix it? -- Byralaal - (talk!) 15:47, 5 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

New 2015 track map[edit]

Hey there. That was quick! You put the track map of the 2015 PTS already and great job! I know it is late but...I found a mistake in the map so I fixed it 3 days ago. Sorry I used the 'paint' app for doing this, again. The mistake was that Australia can be seen but not Japan and Korea. If I see mistakes from other people as well, I fix it using the 'paint' app and let people like you know that there was mistake if it is OK. Typhoon2013 (talk) 22:47, 8 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

ONS code maps[edit]

Hi Keith, I was wondering whether it would be a good idea to make a template which takes an ONS code and produces a link to the corresponding statistics.data.gov.uk map, along the lines of E04005161? This seems like a valuable link that could go in article infoboxes, rather than just a statement of the ONS code itself. At the moment most articles have a link to a point using an OS grid reference, but it seems better to link to an appropriate area. Thanks, Mark MacD (talk) 15:53, 19 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

VIDP[edit]

Could your website archive these two links for the North Indian Ocean tropical cyclone advisories? [1][2] -- Meow 06:25, 29 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry to barge in here, but I do not see why we need to be archiving those two bulletins @Meow: when they are litterally just telling where the system is to the ICAO community. We should treat the archive as a special archive and not archive bulletins that are A) archived by the warning centre themselves or B) Not relevant to the articles themselves. Just my thoughts and I know I'm probably just as bad!.Jason Rees (talk) 06:59, 29 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
The reason is that the RSMC New Delhi sucks does not provide text files for tropical cyclone advisories directly. I found that they are not completely the same to the bulletins. -- Meow 10:42, 29 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Meow: RSMC New Delhi does provide text files for tropical cyclone advisories directly, look under archives and bulletins on their website. Anyway there are only two bulletins we need archiving from the IMD: The national Cwind bulletin and the RSMC Bulletin which is also the TWO. On a side note @Keith Edkins: I think you may need to be aware that the JTWC's website addresses is changing to this by the end of the month as I think it may have an impact on your archive. :)Jason Rees (talk) 00:19, 12 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Raquel track included[edit]

Sorry for bringing up this message a bit late but... it is now confirmed that TC Raquel is now part of the 2014-15 season, instead of 2015-16. So, is it alright if you can finish up the 2014-15 AusR season summary track map by adding the track of Raquel? Thank you so much and have a great holidays! Typhoon2013 (talk) 05:34, 8 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Request...[edit]

I have a request for you if it is alright. Despite we still don't have a single named TC in the Australian region this season, is it alright if you can already make the track map, including 04U, 05U (the TL) and 06U's track maps? Also I see that you give sources (advisories) to storms in talk pages. If you can find any or if there are any, is it alright if you can put sources/advisories for 05U and 06U, as you did to 04U? I really need these so I can add summaries for each storm at the moment. Thank you so much! :) Typhoon2013 (talk) 23:57, 16 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Also to add the track map of Raquel in the 2014-15 SPac cyclone season track map. I just saw what JR did just today and thank you. Typhoon2013 (talk) 00:04, 17 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Possibly the last one is, to rename Corentin's track to Corentin 2016 track instead of 2015 since it formed in 2016. I just made someone else did Victor's track last week. Typhoon2013 (talk) 02:22, 22 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I just like to thank you for doing a great job on track maps and on archives/citations. However this is (I guess) important as I need to show JR. Can you find an archive and put on the 2015-16 AusR article talk page about/mentioning a weak TL in TCWC Perth's site on February 5. If you can't find it, then that's alright. But thanks. Typhoon2013 (talk) 05:49, 7 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Actually @Typhoon2013: as soon as I saw that you had added two tropical lows, I went to Keiths site and found the tropical weather outlooks from Perth. The one from February 5, said that there was a WEAK LOW in the Indian Ocean, rather than a Tropical Low which is what Brisbane's tropical weather outlook yesterday said. As a result we have no evidence to say that it was a tropical low, which is why it has been removed.Jason Rees (talk) 13:08, 7 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Source please?[edit]

I would like to thank the site you made for sources for tropical cyclones. There was a tropical low in the AusR basin during mid-February. I was about to put sources from your site, however it is not there. I was too late to add sources. Is it alright, if possible, to find those sources from 14 to 16 Feb? Thanks. 2015 JTWC best tracks[edit]

I'm trying to create a global map of all tropical cyclones in 2015 for a presentation, and I haven't been able to find tracks from the JTWC - their website only contains tracks through 2014. Renaming some images please??[edit]

Hi again. In a post-analysis, JTWC actually classified a weak TD during May and was classified as 01W. I just want our project and even Wikipedia to be simple and correct. Therefore, is it alright is you can rename the system's track map and all its images to 01W 2016 track (for track map name) or 01W 2016-05... (for images). I made a category in Wikimedia commons already a while ago so it will be much easier for you now. Thank you so much. Typhoon2013 (talk) 19:53, 11 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the personal heads up on this - its appreciated, although it appears that you have managed to solve the problem. Hi. You may be interested in participating in the African Destubathon which starts on October 15. Africa currently has over 37,000 stubs and badly needs a quality improvement editathon/contest to flesh out basic stubs. There are proposed substantial prizes to give to editors who do the most geography, wildlife and women articles, and planned smaller prizes for doing to most destubs for each of the 53 African countries, so should be enjoyable! So it would be a good chance to win something for improving stubs on African Paralympians, particularly female ones, but also male. Even if contests aren't your thing we would be grateful if you could consider destubbing a few African articles during the drive to help the cause and help reduce the massive 37,000 + stub count, of which many are rated high importance (think Regions of countries etc). If you're interested in competing or just loosely contributing a few expanded articles on African Paralympians, Olympians and committees etc, please add your name to the Contestants/participants section. Diversity of work from a lot of people will make this that bit more special. Thanks.♦ Dr. Blofeld 10:47, 5 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
